The pay is $90 if you don't have medicare, so a bit more expensive than others, but the also offer other services beyond GP visits that would be very expensive if you were to go to a private practice.

I took my baby girl to doctor #1 on the 19th as she had a thick yellow substance coming out of her left ear. Doctor #1 stated that the ear drum was perforated and that it was small and in a 'safe place'. Today I took her back to find out if grommets would be a good idea as this wasn't her first infection. We saw doctor #2 who haphazardly looked at her ears, stated that a perforation would take 6 weeks to heal and there was no perforation. I asked doctor #2 to check the records as only 4 days earlier doctor #1 stated there was one. The records stated her ear was red, no mention of a perforated ear drum. I went to reception and asked if I could see doctor #1 to double check (you can see how from my perspective either doctor #2 is incompetent and cannot see the perforation or doctor #1 lied about the fact that there was one). When I spoke to doctor #1 their response was that it was so minor that it wasn't worth recording. It was explained to me that they do not record every little detail as they don't have enough time between patients and would only record this information if the perforation was large. Any medical record is a legal document, doctor #2 had no idea that my daughter had a perforated ear drum 4 days ago because it wasn't recorded. Being given the explanation of it only gets recorded if its a big deal is not sufficient, doesn't matter how time-poor you are. I will definitely not be going back to this clinic due to this.

I went in to get a health check which was required for a personal matter of travel, and he said he would take care of it on the government system instead of requesting me to pay privately, which is what is usually required. The practice is small, and you can't call in to make a reservation, but the waiting room is small, so it can't be more than 3 person wait. He will do call-outs for locals, elderly people, and small children in emergency matters.

I have met a few of these in Sydney. Then I found the best GP in town at the Strathfield Plaza Medical Practice,Dr Piyush Sinha . He is everything that I could ask from a doctor and more. I have gone to him for every little small or even serious problem and till date - I have not been disappointed. He knows that a patient is bound to have a million questions and is always ready to answer them. Always ready to go that extra mile for his patients. Sometimes I have to wait hours to see him - but I can say that the wait is worth it. I feel a lot more at ease and know that I have taken advice from one of best doctors in Sydney. Not only is his mannerism calming and caring, he has a wealth of knowledge. As a PTSD patient, I would often be judged by doctors. Dr Javahari has never taken matters lightly, and made his mission to never make me feel judged for my illness. He insisted on monitoring me weekly, when going through bad bouts, so as to keep me safe. All-in-all, he has saved me. It's a lot less generic and a lot more personal care than those horrible Mcmedical centres popping up everywhere. You know, a proper doctor's practice. The GPs are all fairly professional, speak good English and care about their patients overall well-being, not just an assembly line legal drug pusher's residence. They also have very good on site pathology and counseling services and they offer bulk-billing. Although booking ahead is essential, so not generally the best for a serious emergency. But if you live in the neighbourhood and need a good regular GP I'd definitely recommend them.
