We have used EDH tax solutions last year with no issues. This year is different. Our tax was supposed to be delivered by 4/13, then they said 4/28, then 5/21, then they said it was under final review in May, nothing happened in June, then they said it was on their calendar for delivery by 7/19 which didn't happen. Called in for an appointment for trust in January 2026. Received information over the phone and pricing and then an emails with the fees discussed and a link to pay. Paid a fee for consultation and made an appointment in March. Was provided an email with the break down of fees. March Friday - Consultation went well, we were told an email will be sent with questionnaire form to complete and instructions to pay along with a link to upload documents. Tuesday - the next week- I called and asked I only received an email with a link to pay. No drop down, no amount, no questionnaire form. The person on the phone stated I need to choose from a drop down. I was shocked- because there was no drop down, just a blank space to type in the amount. They were not familiar with there one pay system. The person stated payment in full is required in order to get a link to upload documents and the questionnaire form. This was never mentioned in the consultation or in the email. In addition, first email I received has one set of pricing and the email I received after the consultation increase by $350.00 When I forwarded the original email and asked if they will be honoring the original quoted price. There response was "The Fiduciary Tax Return reservation fee for our early bird engagement bookings " So - NO they are not honoring No mention in the email about early bird or price only good for 30 days- nothing. This is what got me- In addition they stated this word for word copied from email. "I checked our availability with the team and was informed that we are currently full and not accepting any new fiduciary engagements until further notice. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot take on your engagement at this time but we can add you to our wait list upon your request. I have already initiated the refund for your New Client Consultation fee of $62.50 so you should see it post to your credit card within a few days." So I was dropped - on Friday they stated they have room. Very interesting. Needless to say, this left me in a challenging situation- trying to find an accountant on a short notice to file my taxes. I don't do reviews very often as I understand things happen and I grew up with a Family business , but 2 weeks later I am still struggling to find an accountant. read more

We have used EDH Tax Solutions since they were called Anglers Assets. 6 years or so... in that time there has been a downhill of service and lack of communication. There seems to be a big turn over as well, as the assistants names change every year. This last year they started using a new system where everything is uploaded onto " Verifyle" (by me) making their job easier. So why did our tax prep cost go from around $500 to over $3800! Once everything was uploaded I kept asking for an update on the filing status. We were already filing an extension. I was told they would file once they received their payment for the 3800! That is how we were told of the price increase. Because we were already late and I had already done all that work, it felt like we were stuck with it. My husband sent an email asking why the fee went up so much and also why our taxes changed so much ( we owed thousands this year and never had before) and what changes we could/ should make to avoid that in future years. We were told that if we were wanting bookkeeping services in addition to tax prep, to let them know. No thank you. We will not be back. read more

Alexandra and her team made the process of filing our taxes probably the easiest it's been in years. In total I've maybe wasted an hour of my life gathering documents then driving to the office waiting 15 minutes for everything to be scanned then being told we will call you when they are ready. I cannot believe I am the first to post a not so good review. As a longtime Yelp user this is my 2nd review - I usually just excuse poor experiences to someone having a bad day or whatever. We had a simple request; file an amendment to our 2018 and file 2019 and set up a payment plan. We met with the accountant and discussed the plan, we were ensured this would be taken care of quickly and confirmed the plan. Filing of 2019 - no issues. We were then surprised to find we were charged for the completion of the 2018 with NO explanation. We called and asked why and were told it was because they reviewed the return, therefore we were charged for them completing it. ? We asked for a detailed receipt to account for the work, they never sent it. We delayed in paying for the 2018s until we were to get the receipt but were then notified we would not get our 2019 info back until we paid in full the 2018 filing. (We needed the 2019 info immediately to complete a FAFSA) So we were forced to pay another $400 just for someone to file an amendment which likely did not take very long. The payment plan was never set up as we initially discussed and the main reason we went to them. We never spoke to the accountant after the initial meeting, not sure if she completed the taxes or if it was an assistant. Very poor communication. Requested several times to get my tax documents back via mail, I was assured they would be mailed, never happened. read more

So we decided to go with this company based on the great reviews on Yelp. We were not disappointed! We recently moved and was in need of a tax person. I attempted to use those softwares but wasn't sure if I did it right and didnt want to aget audited in the future. So I looked on Yelp and just liked the fact they sanitize the office. Setting up the appointment was a breeze (and online!). When I went in, the office was nicely kept up. The staff was great. And doing the taxes was done in an hour for us...instead of 2-3 hours I did on my own. I ended up owing, which I expected based on what I did, but I definitely did it wrong. It is a very rare occasion I will rate companies on their poor performance, but potential clients need to know how unprofessional this company has been. I sold a property last year and knew I would have to pay capital gains tax. This was the first time in my life I was in a position to pay additional taxes which is why I hired EDH. During my consultation with Alexandra, I let her know this was uncharted territory for me and I needed guidance and explanation throughout the process given the large sum I owed. She also assured me she could get my taxes filed by the deadline. However, on April 30th we had to file an extension due to their heavy workload, this cost me an additional $75. No details about what this meant were given or outlined. I've filed extensions in the past, but was always getting a refund. I was shocked when I got the penalty bill of $674 in the mail. I immediately contacted EDH. I asked, "Why wouldn't we pay about what we knew (the total was) to avoid the penalty fee? Or at least why wouldn't we discuss it? ". Their response, "if you would have inquired about what the due date was for the payments of the taxes we would have confirmed that information for you." This response is ridiculous. I believed my extension meant my due date was push. They should have explained it to me without me asking. I don't know what I don't know! On Jul 29th I requested the reimburse to if my late fees and they have not responded. As the expert and consultant, they should provide all the details and options and not assume their clients know or understand the rules. I chose to hire a company to do exactly that and they failed! Collectively, I paid $725 for their service and incurred an additional $674 in penalty fees due to their lack of communication. I do not recommend EDH and if I could would give them less than 1 star. read more

The lady that answered was very friendly and ended up answering all my questions over the phone and didn't charge me. I was referred to EDH by a friend. This year was my first time getting professional help with my taxes. I highly recommend reading the remainder of the recent low star reviews below. We had worked with Alexandra Scott for two years prior to filing our 2022 taxes. This year was different, and not in a good way. Customer service was lacking and much less personal. They were now requiring the fee upfront without so much as an e-blast (those ones Alexandra loves so much) to notify the current clients. Additionally, we owed this year after setting and paying for a meeting to ensure our bill would be as close to zero as possible. She assured us our withholding was correct and we would have no issues, this was incorrect. Withholding is a very basic tax principle and something accountants should be abundantly familiar with, this may have been an oversight but an oversight that should literally never happen when you are a tax accountant. To someone's point below, yes, there has been quite a bit of turnover since our first year with Alexandra and no, I have never called outside of business hours (I can read names on email signatures). It feels as though Alexandra has become extremely busy and no longer has time for the "little people." So much so that when we let her know she was fired, she couldn't even be bothered to reply - she had her assistant do that for her. I will more than likely also get some very defensive reply from the business (hopefully none at all if they know how to accept constructive criticism) showing how we were the ones at fault instead of them. Just save your money, find someone else. Alexandra Scott is certainly not the be-all end-all! read more

Had a phone consultation, Alexandra asked us to send returns and other info so she could get us a quote. We take the time to compile the documents and send her the email. We wait a week, and hear nothing from her. We email her asking her what the status is, and no reply. We then have to call her to see what the status is, she sounds like she just forgot about it. We call two more times to check in on the status. Still no quote. We call one more time. She says she will get us a quote the next day. The next day comes and goes, still no quote from Alexandra. If she couldn't keep her word about something as simple as getting someone a quote, or even practice basic professional communication, I wouldn't trust that she's doing your taxes correctly. She revealed the low level of service we could expect, thankfullybefore we mistakenly signed up with her. EDIT: After posting this review, the next morning we received a quote. I think its pretty self explanatory that we had to post our honest negative experience publicly here on Yelp for her to do what she promised. Also this review is unfortunately being filtered out. I would take this review into account to get a balanced picture, with all the five star reviews, as that wasn't our experience at all. read more
