I needed an arrangement and my local Edible Arrangements did not/could not deliver to the area I needed it to go to (company policy - location out of their range). They told me to call the Upper Marlboro Store. What a great experience. Doreen answered the phone and assisted me with exactly what I needed. Although I didn't get my order in until around 2pm, Doreen was still able to get it delivered today. After receiving the arrangement, the recipient texted me the following: "Thank you so much. I had placed an baby basket order for same day pick up to pick it up at 9:30 which was the first available time, while I was on the way they left me a voicemail saying it would not be ready till 10:30. The only reason I'm giving this location 1 star is because you have to, to write the review. This location sucks! As many times as Ive ordered arrangements, I've NEVER had any issues until I ordered from this one! So Sunday, the day before I wanted the arrangement to be delivered I placed my order. The following day I called the shop and spoke with a gentlemen who spoke with a strong accent and confirmed to me that they received my order and I asked him if the arrangement could be delivered by 4pm bc at 430pm no one would be at the residence to accept the order. The gentleman reviewed my address with me, & I quote "we can have this to Bowie by 4pm, no problem." You already know how the story goes..............at 415 and 430p I called the shop again & the same guys kept informing me that my delivery was in route....in ROUTE! They never updated the tracking status on their website as the other shops I've ordered from do...& good thing I have the Ring video cameras on my front door! The fruit is always fresh, albeit the arrangements don't always follow the prototypes described on the site. For instance, an arrangement I ordered was supposed to have no apples and the strawberries to be dipped in chocolate. Instead, there were apples dipped in chocolate and bare strawberries. Thankfully, the recipient isn't allergic to any of the fruit or that'd be a huge problem. The low score is specifically to the customer service. The people seem nice and personable, but the place is poorly managed. Every time I order something from here and select a pick up time, the order is NEVER ready when I arrive. In fact, it usually takes at least fifteen minutes for me to get it after pick up time. (One time I was even purposely late by twenty minutes and it still took an extra fifteen minutes). This seems to mean they don't start making the bouquet until you are physically at the location. I think I will choose Waldorf from now on even if this location is a tad closer. read more

Ordered from here 4 days in advance for Valentine's day. At 4 pm they called me and said they could not deliver my wife's gift on time and asked if they can do it tomorrow. I declined and wanted a full refund. The lady on the phone said they could deliver it after 5 pm if that was ok. I accepted and she promised me they would deliver the order. My wife is now upset as I got home and discovered there was no gift. I checked the website, and they did not even attempt to deliver. I ordered a Create Your Own for my son's birthday and this awful fruit store delivered something completely different than what I ordered. The order I placed was for $44.99 with a $5 off discount bringing the price down to $39.99. Because they were either out of 1 of 3 fruit types OR their computer system generated an order for $39.99 (not being programmed to detect discounts) my order was changed to something that's priced at $39.99. The delivery was for Sunday January 16th but they were closed due to 2 inches of snow or less! Really! Then they were closed on Monday January 17th. So now it's January 18th and I spoke to a person at the store. These people are full of lies. They deserve 0 stars. I do not recommend this location or any Edible Arrangements store. The second was smaller and contained fruit with chocolate strawberries. The fruit in both were not good and lacked any taste...more like veggies than fruit! The white chocolate in the larger one was also poor taste and one pineapple had 2 strands of hair (ugh! gross!!). It's unfortunate because the senders sent them as Sympathy arrangements. I did not want to contact the senders about the poor quality although I'm sure they spent good money thinking it was a great sentiment. Disappointed to say the least. Ordered the night before, large get well bouquet and since it was over $50, they had a special that you could also select 12 chocolate dipped strawberries free of charge! Awesome, right? Placed an online order to Upper Marlbor, Md location on Wed for a Friday delivery in Temple Hill, MD. The Birthday Pineapple Drip cake and Berries box was ordered for $67.99. Some additional things were ordered as well. This arrangement was going to be apart of a special presentation. To say the least I was very disappointed, dissatisfied and disgusted at what my daughter recieved on Friday. It most certainly did not represent what I ordered from your website and it was missing items. Plus every piece of fruit was damaged. I wish I could post the pics for you to see. It looks like you totally rushed it and did not allow for things to properly set. A total mismanagement of time and my time as well. If I could give zero stars I would. The arrangement was left on my front porch because I was not home to receive it; it was 95 degrees outside. The arrangement was not packaged in ice or anything that would keep it fresh. I found it several hours later on the side of my porch. The chocolate melted and ants were crawling through the entire arrangement. I called edible arrangements in Upper Marlboro. It was extremely difficult communicating with the employee. I finally got out of our conversation that the manager would call me back. Two days later, after not hearing from a manager, I called back. This time I spoke to the manager and told him about the situation. He said he had contacted the purchaser and she said to leave it. The person who purchased the arrangement had no idea it wasn't packaged properly for the weather and most likely couldn't even understand the delivery driver. Needless to say Edible Arrangements in Upper Marlboro refused to replace the arrangement. I made it clear I would be writing a poor review on Yelp. He then offered a box of strawberries, but told me I would need to pick it up...30 minutes away. Now the company has changed owners and since then the service is gone completely down hill. starting with the simple ordering of my item, being the only person in the store, took 35 minutes. I ordered dozen chocolates ,4 balloons requested recently inflated balloon because old balloons arrive deflated. I also ordered two mugs. In a nutshell they arrived at my house Mothers Day at 8:45 p.m. and brought me deflated balloons, and forgot my mugs. The people were running this store by culture, do not have the personality, the paience no other customer service to run a business that requires finesse, ambience and art of presentation. they just see you as a dollar bill to get in and get out no more no less. I placed an order online with this store. After hitting submit a prompt told me that I should be getting a confirmation email shortly. I waited a few hours and nothing came through but the money was taken out of my account. I called the store and the person on the other end tells me that he's going to push the confirmation email through. My main concern was a delivery window because I wanted to make sure someone would be home when they deliver and I expressed that to him. He said that someone would call me before they deliver. The next day (delivery day) I realized I still didn't get a confirmation email. I called the store back and a woman answers this time telling me I will not get a confirmation email until the delivery is made which doesn't make sense to me. Ah said if I wanted one I would have to come into the store and they can print it out. I told her that wasn't what I was told yesterday and they had no problem taking the money out of my account. The guy I talked to yesterday comes on the phone and says that they don't send confirmation emails when you pay online. Again I said this doesn't make sense. Oh and get this, my window time for delivery is any time between 8am and 5pm; how awesome -_-There should be an order number and tracking number associated with my order. I asked for a refund and the Store Manager said, "why should I"! Poor service. The delivery guy left my gift to my elderly mother on the steps in front of her house. No knocking or returning the gift to refrigerated truck. For this place to charge so much for these gifts they do not have good customer service. I am waiting for a full refund that I had to pretty much beg for. I placed a order for May 6 the night before. I called the morning of to see around what time the orders would be going out. I had to call numerous times before someone picked up. The lady that answered the phone told me that the orders went out but she would not know exactly when my package would be dropped off. Which was fine this was around 2 o'clock. I had to ruin the surprise and ask if the person got the package because I wasn't sure where the package was and I didn't want to keep calling being impatient beings though she already told me the was no defiant time. Maybe about 6 o'clock came and the tracking website said that the order was on its way. 7 o'clock came still no order and I'm calling but now they are closed. I look back at the tracking and it said the order was delivered but 9 o'clock still no order!!! I called the next morning to see why does the order say delivered if I didn't receive it. The lady put me on hold I guess to talk to her manager. She had to ask me what my order was. She said the manager apologized and said he would send it out today. If you are ordering edible arrangements 9/10 it's for a special occasion. So I do not want my order today they ruined everything. I told the lady that I just wanted a refund and she told me she would tell her manager but she didn't know anything about the refund process so she put me on hold because at this point I want to speak to the manager about my money. After being on hold the phone was hung up. I had to call back numerous of times before she picked up the phone again. She said the drivers could have dropped it off at the wrong place which is crazy to me. She said that they were busy because of the COVID-19 so I couldn't speak to the manager. For starters I live out of town and decided to order for my God child's 11th birthday, placed my order online and was NOT notified the business was closed due to the weather. 9 hours later I get a phone call from the manager that the business was closed and I could get my item delivered the next day the guy also told me that he told me yesterday they couldn't make deliveries today (I had not spoken to him the previous day) , well I asked for my $14 shipping charged to be returned since I was not notified that the business was closed and was pretty bummed that the delivery would not be on her actual birthday! I was fussed at by the manager and told to just cancel my order, to me that is bad customer service to tell a customer to cancel the order rather than right the wrong! They called and left me a voicemail at 5:39 PM to tell me they stop delivery at 4PM and he let the delivery driver go home. The "manager" is the one I spoke to and I asked why I could even place a delivery order for today on the website as all other stores I've ordered from have it stated or you cannot even pick that day for delivery. Not only did he get incredibly rude, and talking over me, almost to the point of yelling, he HUNG UP ON ME. I have been trying to find a corporate email or phone since these are franchise stores, nothing on the website allows for you to get that info. I do not know how this store has been able to stay open with the utter lack of customer service. Having been in the retail industry for a very long time, this store is a major liability to the brand and completely lacks integrity. I have never had such horrible customer service! I placed an online order and I called the store to ask the estimated delivery time. He said the delivery time was between 3 and 6. The associate was very rude when I asked if it could be delivered by 3 because the business would be closed after (Elementary school). His exact words were "I will send my driver at 12:30 but don't ask for the time again" I didn't think I heard him correctly so I asked him to explain again. When he did and I was clear on what he said I said ok and I hung up. He then called me back to ask if I hung up on him! I asked him was he not done talking ? He had said that I wasn't allowed to ask for times and that he would send his driver out this time early "but don't ask again". After hanging up I called the customer service line where I was told I could file a complaint but she recommended I waited to see if I got the item first. As if yo say if I file a complaint he may purposely not deliver my items on time. This made me feel even more uncomfortable and I asked her to cancel the whole transaction. The representive called the store and cancelled my order and I asked if he would not call me back at all. This was a horrible experience and I'm so unhappy with the service on both levels.
