Amazing place for lunch! They have a great selection of wraps, sandwiches and salads. I had the curry chicken, it was delicious. Generous portions and reasonable prices. Good service. Very minor gripe- I would have liked to have been offered a refill on my coffee. The location is a bit out of the way, and the place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is great, filled with local art work and beautiful wooden tables with stones embedded in them. There's also live music over the lunch hour most days which is a nice treat. I might suggest they get a new high chair, as the one available didn't have a harness to secure my squirmy little one... There was a tempting selection of baked goods on offer as well, and they also had a good selection of single portion frozen meals you could take home with you. Definitely one of my favourite lunch spots when visiting the area! read more

We came here for a casual lunch on a lazy day and left very happy with our choice. The decor is bright, clean and airy, with lots of local artwork on the walls. Some of the tables are natural wood pieces with stone inlays which were interesting. In the back corner of the restaurant they have a section where they feature live local music from 12-2 pm. Their menu has both in house dining and take away (look for the big fridge that says grab and go). They have plenty of drink choices, along with baked goods to choose from if you just want to stop in and use their free wifi, chat with friends etc. Fast and very friendly service. The coffee was really good. The food itself was excellent, being both fresh and full of flavour. The salads, soups and sandwiches that we had (see pictures) were wonderful and we would gladly eat here again. read more

We've eaten lunch at Edible Art two days in a row, it's so good. Day 1 I had a bowl of broccoli-cheddar soup that was a whole new genre--a delicious, fresh, genuine homemade soup, not that gloppy stuff you're used to. Day 2 I had the most beautiful, fresh, colorful salad, truly visual art. My adult companions recommended the breakfast burrito, chicken curry wrap, and havarti mushroom melt. And the kid platter made us all jealous: a grilled cheese made on an English muffin, with a gorgeous fresh fruit cup and a decorative little bit of salad on the side. Might have to go back again today. read more

At first glance I wondered why the restaurant is set in so far off the road. Then I read somewhere that this is the location of the former high school. So that made sense to me. This is a big yet cozy restaurant, smartly decorated with colourful art, beautiful wood dining tables and well stocked bookcases. I came for lunch and ordered the Havarti Mushroom Melt which others had recommended. It consisted of red pepper spread, havarti cheese, spinach, feta, sun dried tomatoes, and sauteed mushrooms served hot on a grilled ciabatta bun. It was simply delicious, I was thrilled about how good it tasted! The man who served me was friendly and very pleasant. The restaurant has a facebook page if you want to check out the menu or savour the yummy pictures of the food. I liked the bathroom too, which has two accent walls with art on them! I came here with my husband and mother-in-law for a late lunch on a rainy fall day and had a fabulous meal. It turns out that the cafe is in my MIL's old school, in the old music room! So, of course it makes sense that they have a lot of live music there. We didn't catch a show, but we enjoyed a lovely, warming lunch that artfully showcased fall ingredients. We each enjoyed generous portions of soup with a sandwich or salad. My mushroom melt featured luscious Havarti and flavorful sautéed mushrooms on a toasted ciabatta roll, and I savored every bite. My curried coconut soup could have had the spice kicked up a notch, but I'm a notorious spice hound and am always looking for the bottle of hot sauce on the table. So it's probably just me. It was a small space and I could tell that the the food was homemade and had a lot of love in it. Nowhere was this more evident than in the beautiful selection of baked goods. After lunch, I wandered over to the counter to appreciate the gorgeous array of scones and treats, and I couldn't help but pick up a pumpkin scone, a blueberry scone, and a chocolate-coconut macaroon to enjoy on the road. As I suspected, each treat was well worth the extra investment. They were delicate and just plain beautiful, with a tender crumb (indicating excellent ingredients) and a well-balanced flavor profile (indicating a thoughtful and highly skilled baker). The lunch was good, but the combination of the lunch with the baked goods launch this new restaurant into five-star status. I will come back next time I visit. read more

Even though I'd seen the previous Yelp reviews I was still pleasantly surprised by this café. It was large and bright and airy, with - unsurprisingly from the name - lovely local art all over the walls. The menu wasn't big but had very tasty-sounding lunch dishes, and for extremely reasonable prices. Two musicians were providing the weekend afternoon ambiance. Service was efficient and friendly. The meals were as good as they sounded (my curry chicken wrap was yum). And they happily did a small simple plate of meat, bread, and cheese for our small son. A really great lunch stop. read more

We picked this place as our favourite spot we ate at during our two week stay in the Annapolis Valley. Local artists are on display and entertainment is provided while you enjoy your meal. Fabulous hidden gem. Had the lunch salad with soup of the day, Maple Squash, exceptional taste. Salad was fresh with berries and pumpkin seeds. Service is friendly and very fast. On top of that they have a freezer so you can take your favorites home. Love this place. Oh yes and there is live music to boot. Free wifi too. read more

My husband and I visited here on our honeymoon and decided to come TWICE!! The food was great and plentiful, the servers were personable and attentive, and very interested in our travels, and there was live music! I love Edible Art! One of my favourite cafes to go to in the valley. In my opinion, they have the best salad you can find in the valley. They also have awesome prices, great treats, and strong coffee! They have 5 soups for 20 dollars you can get and have for lunches that are SO delicious! What a gem! This is absolutely worth swinging by if you're on your way to u-pick blueberries or other activities in the area. Open 9-5 most days with live music at lunch time Monday-Saturday from 12-2 pm, they have a short menu of excellent sandwich and soup options for a light lunch. French baked goods were coming and going as we sat and looked round at the bright fun artwork and open attractive space. We tried the curry chicken wrap, excellent, the all-day breakfast sandwich with cheddar and bacon, disappeared quickly, and the soup of the day, chicken gumbo served with two slices of multigrain baguette. They have a range of coffee drinks and my americano was excellent. Everything was so good that after we finished picking berries I came back to snap up 5 frozen dinner/soup options for $20, including 2 freshly made macaroni and cheese sides. Made with onion and real cheese and pepper, they were delicious. I also grabbed one of their large homemade seed, nut, oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies, another winner. In the middle of eating our lunch at the Edible Art Cafe, our impersonal server asked us if we would move to another table to accommodate a reservation....we both stared at her in disbelief... "Really???? So, will NEVER return there again! WILL tell others. Poor customer service and general lack of social etiquette continues to shock and bewilder me. Also, entire parking area and path to entrance dangerously icy and no attempts to salt or sand. A fall/injury waiting to happen. read more
