You could enjoy them with coffee, but coffee isn't obligatory to cut the sweet. The doughnut was a doughnut. Unfortunately it can't get a 5 star because they were seen reusing the homemade jam from the individual servings - scrape the top, smooth it out and add more to the top. As much as I encourage good economics of not throwing out tons of jam - this isn't a great practise:-( So, I leave it to your judgement - food great, space small, cash only and great prices. A welcome addition to the area, the owners have opened up a small bake shop where they make and sell small batch sourdough breads, treats and pizza dough. In addition, you can purchase hand made and dyed linens that the owner makes. They've got sheep and produce their own fibres so it's a really great spot that's clearly going to grow. You may have seen them at the Clarence market as their shop hours are currently incredibly limited. When I say they sell out fast, I'm talking 15 mins fast! Hours are 11-5 twice a week but you're often out of luck if you arrive by noon so get there BEFORE opening if you want some amazing wood-fired bread!
