I graduated back in 2022 but every-time I recall my last half of my high school experience that was with Huntington Park high I have nothing but good memories. The teachers care, the staff, the nurses, the principal. All my teachers were great they loved what they did and taught, because of them I achieved only good grades. If you ask ANYONE else that went to this school how was this school 99.99% of the time they will say this school sucks. And they wouldn't be wrong. This school sucks as much as people say it is. Not to mention that the teachers will try their absolute hardest to make you look dumb, 9 times out of 10 the students are either genuine bullies, or just annoying in general. It's crazy when you think about it but the staff NEVER does anything about the bullying or people being annoying on purpose unless a fight happens. The school makes sure the children are provided a great learning environment and that the children receive their breakfast on time at the beginning of their day. Teachers are very caring as well. I like the dual language program that is available. My daughter is learning both languages at the same time, English and Spanish. They also offer a great morning and after school program full of activities for those parents needing support in the beginning of their day or in the afternoon. It's a safe place for your child to be in.

Some didn't want to help or answer questions. I just figured maybe since it's getting closer to the end of the school year they've probably had enough and can't wait for the summer break. I didn't think much of it. Now that they've had all summer to relax and unwind it's been 2 weeks since the first day of school and they haven't changed a bit. I got to talking to some of the parents and they told me that they've always been like that. It's an elementary school not the DMV! If they're not happy with their jobs maybe they should go. And now the school has a new principle. She's changed up lots of things that a lot of the parents are not liking. For instance, I have two boys and I have to pick up one child on one side of the school then go walk all the way around the school to pick up the other on the opposite side. They don't allow parents to walk through the school grounds. Just the other day it was a really hot day and the ice cream man that has been selling outside the school for a while now was told by the principle in front of everyone that he needs to leave and never come back. I don't see the harm in parents buying their child an ice cream to cool down during their walk home from school. Last time I checked wasn't the street public property? As for the teachers there, they're doing a great job. I just hope the rotting attitude in the front office doesn't spew out into the classrooms and affect the teachers.

Ever since Ms. Luna became the new principal a lot of good changes have happened. She truly has made a difference. From creating the valet car for dropping off students in the mornings to having the after school program STEM where they create robots and compete against other schools. This motivates students to be involve in activities. If parents don't have the time to take them, they manage somehow to find the time to take them. I appreciate the effort! As far as teachers they're all have been great teachers! Just to mention a few Ms. Rodriguez, Ms. Castillo, Ms. Torres, Ms. Rosas, and Ms. Reedy. They've done a great job in teaching my daughters. Good amount of homework given. Field trips have been great. My daughters have been happy so far. Office staff, not the greatest but they try their best! I believe they can be better and more organized. I understand it can be insane speaking to over 50 parents a day just with 2 staff members. The school nurse is on point. Always calling me with any issues when my daughters go to the nurse's office.

Whole time I was on the phone with a friend who recorded everything & teacher voice is heard talking to both of us near his classroom. Conflicting his written statement to the court that the other parent didn't come inside the school and wasn't being disruptive. I was going through false accusations from other parent & I notified the school about conflicting statement & they so oh well. Just FYi to other parents.
