Very helpful staff who helped me change my reservation time last minute. They also recommended better floats vs the ones we originally went with. Only con- they said it would take 3-4 hours to float and it was only 2

Cute little cabin on the property...I think it's for the staff?

THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Typically, the word teenager is never found in the same sentence with hospitality but someone is raising their kids right. The staff at Edisto River Adventures went above and beyond from the moment we pulled into their parking lot until the moment we pulled out to leave. They were the friendliest staff and truly made us feel like family, visiting for the day. The teenagers running the check-in, made everything super easy and smooth for us. They were friendly and gave us lots of tips, as this was our first time floating the Edisto. We paid $21 per person, they do offer a couple discounts so check to see if you can use those. The prices were more than fair for their excellent service. After we checked in and paid, we boarded a bus and headed for Givhans State Park where we began our journey. The young girl who drove the bus, was very informative and slowed down in several spots to let us see birds roosting, turtles, goats, and she even told some great jokes which our kids loved. Once we arrived to the park, three young guys were already filling our tubs with air. *** They didn't just hand us the tubes and dump us off. They actually walked us down to the river, helped us get settled into the tubes, and pushed us off. They were true gentlemen!!!!! The river flows at a slow pace, similar to that of a hotel lazy river. Our kids enjoyed jumping off their tubes and swimming alongside of us. Life jackets are not needed for confident swimmers. There are several residences along the river. There are also lots of jet skis and boats zooming by but they're respectable of your space. It took us 3-4 hours to make it back to the place you exit but we did stop at a sandbar a little before that spot, to hang out with some friends and let our kids swim. Take lots of waters and snacks, especially if you have kids in tow! Once we arrived back, those same young guys were there to help us get out and unload. We hung around and enjoyed the grounds for a bit. It's very clean and there are lots of games to enjoy...volleyball, corn hole, spike ball, etc. They have port-a-potty's to use, that were very clean and lots of picnic tables to enjoy a picnic. The website said they serve snacks and hot dogs but we did not see this BUT maybe that amenity was unavailable due to Covid. Overall, it was a great day, fun for all ages, and a great price! I will definitely visit again on my next trip to the area! Phone service is spotty all along the river but your GPS will get you there if you plug in the address before losing service. There are dirt roads leading to it but a car can still make the trip. Plenty of parking but it is not a paved lot. Don't forget your sunscreen! *make it a weekend of fun, plan a trip to The Bee City Zoo just a couple miles away! Thanks for the tip guys!

As the Maid of Honor, I was in charge of plans for the weekend and I wanted to start the trip with my own version of a bike tour around Folly. I called 2 days prior to our arrival because I didn't initially think we needed a formal reservation, but started to get nervous as we got closer to the trip. When I called, the guys told me it would be no problem and they would have 10 bikes ready for us at 11:00am that Friday. I wasn't sure what would happen when we arrived, so I held my breath and crossed my fingers all would work out. I was ecstatic when we arrived to see Will and Cameron already at the door waiting on us!! We were maybe 5 minutes or so after 11:00 (10 girls can be a lot to get out the door) but they both commented on us "being on time," so I felt much better. They got us setup and on our way very quickly. I even asked for some of their "expert opinions" on restaurant/bars we should stop throughout the day and they provided us with great recommendations. I think having the bikes on a Friday was perfect because we didn't run into too much traffic and it felt very safe everywhere we went. We were really sad to return the bikes at the end of the day. I thought we would only spend a few hours on them since Folly isn't that big, but we were having so much fun we stayed on them until the shop was closing. By the end of the weekend, I asked the girls what their favorite part of the trip was and the most common response was the bikes!! If I had to do it over, I would probably pay to rent bikes for the full weekend. It was the best way to get 10 girls around Folly Beach!

Our guide, Sean, was fantastic from start to finish. Before the trip even began, he was extremely communicative with my friend who made the reservation, ensuring we knew exactly where to meet, what to bring, and what to expect. As someone who appreciates clear logistics while traveling, this was greatly appreciated. Upon arrival, we met our fellow paddlers, many of whom were fellow National Park enthusiasts visiting Congaree for the first time. Everyone was friendly, excited to be there, and Sean helped create a welcoming atmosphere before we even launched our canoes. For a little context: I am absolutely terrified of snakes. In fact, during my first visit to Congaree a couple of years ago, I considered doing a canoe trip but ultimately chickened out because I couldn't stop thinking about my slithery nemeses lurking nearby. This time, I decided to be brave. While several members of our group did spot snakes along Cedar Creek, everyone was incredibly understanding of my fears. When one was spotted, my canoe companion and guide were kind enough to help turn our canoe so I didn't have to see it. It may sound silly, but it made a huge difference and allowed me to actually enjoy the experience rather than spend the entire trip anxiously scanning the shoreline. And enjoy it I did! Paddling Cedar Creek was really scenic and surprisingly relaxing. Between the reflections on the water and the towering trees at times, I felt like I was in a scene from The Notebook. If you're visiting Congaree National Park, I highly recommend adding a paddle trip with Palmetto Outdoor to your itinerary. Great communication, great guide, great group, and a fantastic way to experience part of the park that most visitors never do!

It was a beautiful day for a tour and the best way to see the park. The paddle was leisurely and Andy had a lot of good information about the park's history and ecology. This company was recommended by a colleague and it was a fantastic recommendation. We had a couple of water activities we wanted to do, and Sky Pirate was EXTREMELY accommodating to the activities, as well as rescheduling in case of weather. I could not be happier with them and I can't recommend them highly enough. We rented a small boat one day. The price included the fuel for the boat. We had the absolute best morning riding around in it. The guide was really helpful in explaining the guidelines for the boat, as well as where we needed to stay (geographically, unfortunately we could not take the boat way out into the ocean lol). We came back with no issues and with the craving to go back ASAP. Another day we went parasailing. I thought it was gonna be maybe 20 feet above the boat. Nope. We were so high up, it was such a gorgeous view from way up there. We saw the idak and from a new perspective And even saw some dolphins way down in the water. We felt very safe and had a fun time with our group. We were elated with our experience with Sky Pirate and we would highly recommend them. We can't wait to be back!

Well, it was very fun, I was sick, so unfortunately, it made me kind of nauseated. Due to feeling sick I asked if we could change the day of our parasailing to another day later in the week since I wasn't feeling good. They told me that it wasn't possible and that " I had to just suck it up " were his exact words, unless I wanted to lose the money. With that being said, I went ahead with it because I was there with my boyfriend and it's something I wanted him to try since he had never done it before. After we went parasailing, I had asked where I could collect our video, since that was the package we had purchased. Well, to no surprise, they never took it. They didn't offer to redo it another day, they didn't offer to take us back up to take it. They didn't show any empathy whatsoever. Just honestly very rude people with zero customer service skills.
