this place would probably be great aside from the fact that I have only been here two times in my life and am a local, have lived on johns island 15 years and am from James island originally, and the guy who runs it has been very rude both times. He's very cold and aggressive acting, i brought my seven year old here and he made us both very uncomfortable and both times it just seemed like it was because he was in a very bad mood, no clear reasoning why. But anyways, just a warning for those thinking of visiting. Otherwise the place is pretty!

Ca-Ching! Trophy lakes is one of the best disc-golf courses I have every played. I know that some of the purists, feel that disc golf should be free, but the $6 fee at Trophy Lakes was entirely worth it. They had Red, White, and Blue tee boxes, with red being easiest and blue being hardest. We played white, and that was challenging enough. Beware the water hazards! Yes, I dropped more than one of my prized pieces of plastic in the lake. Fortunately, one disc was in reach and only cost me the penalty stroke. This is a combination water skiing and disc golf enterprise, and run by a really nice crew. Whether you are flying on the water or around it (hopefully!), you will have a great experience. They also have a thoroughly-stocked pro-shop with a wide variety of discs, and even offer golf lessons at reasonable prices. As usual for disc golf, there was a friendly group of players on the course when we were there. Why would anyone pay more than 10-times as much to hit a little white ball around in the blazing sun?? Instead, you can relax in the shade of trees while you pilot plastic around challenging obstacles and enjoy the musical reward of "cha-Ching" when you sink the putt!!

Beautiful space to play DiscGolf. $5.00 for 18 holes, but if you purchase two discs, you get your round free. You are able to play at any time because they have a drop box for cash rounds. Several holes have water hazards which makes the game interesting. Write your name on the disc! If you lose it in the water, not all hope is lost; they scrub the lakes for discs and hold them for people to claim. I would like to add they have wake boarding during the day. Trophy Lakes is a must see!

Trophy Lakes has been repeatedly ranked the number one slalom ski course in the world! See WaterSki magazine. 20 minutes sessions are very reasonably priced. The lake is designed so that the wake washes out after each pass. The well-stocked ski and wakeboard shop allows for trial of the ski or wakeboard for 5% of the selling price. The wakeboard cable park is also a lot of fun. It's within easy reach from any of the Charlston beaches.

Awesome course! Clean, well kept, good site lines, and 3 start pads. Lots of trees and around and over water. Camping and water sports too!

They have water skiing, a wakeboard cable park, SUP, kayaking, and probably one of the nicest disc golf courses in the country.

The program leaders were stellar as well with their teaching, guidance, and humor. They provide the materials, so no need to BYOB (bring your own bow) but after today I'm considering to get one haha and seeking out more archery opportunities! As soon as you get there, they go over the safety rules and how to hold your bow with methods on pulling back and aiming. I felt such strength to pull the bow using my back muscles, to see the arrow shoot so fast. I loved the power of the release and hearing the sound of arrow pierce the target. There's several targets with each one set according to yardage so you can either start ambitiously or work your way up. The instructors also gave us some balloons to work with to try to aim for, that was entertaining. For safety purposes they command when to retrieve arrows, and while aiming we are to remain behind the concrete lines to ensure safety. For only $20 to unleash your inner Katniss Everdeen, it's worth it! My only complaint was I wish the course lasted longer!! The park also has a 3D archery range to which you practice on fake animals. 10/10 would recommend!
