First, I called for information, all was fine. What I did think was strange was that the area code number of 916 on his website is not the number he uses to call me back which was from 714. I didn't think anything of it until the experience on ordering a service using his online form. It took a longer time to fill out the form than I imagined, with repeated requests of the same information. At the end, there are two big buttons side by side: a button for "Print this Form" and right next to it is the "Submit" button. I clicked Print this Form and low and behold, there was a charge added to the total for an extra $14.95 to Print the online form I just filled out! I called him to say I didn't feel comfortable with that and he hung up on me. Putting two and two together, I would not feel comfortable doing business with someone who isn't honest and upfront. The printing option did not come with an extra charge disclaimer, putting people like me in a position to waste more time in finding a good service provider. Sometimes working with a one person company is a good thing, but in this case, it is not. Go with a reputable company for an important service such as this.

I am a parent who contacted the financial aid office with a question on 2/9/2024. The student who I was unfortunate enough to talk to, Claudia had no idea how to answer my question. Instead of just telling me she did not know, she kept repeating herself with the same useless information that had nothing to do with my question. When I asked if I could speak with someone else who may be able to answer my question she became extremely rude. She refused to let me talk to anyone else and told me she was the only one who could help me and no one else worked in the office except supervisors who were busy and could not speak with me. I asked if I could make a future appt to speak with someone and she said "no". How could a university a large as UC Davis have a financial aid office run by such a rude and uninformed student. This student should not be working with the public or parents or be representing the University in any way. So disappointing, especially for an office as important as financial aid at such a large university.
