First, I called for information, all was fine. During our small talk, he asked me about his website, and I said I liked it because I could easily navigate the pages with as little as 2-3 clicks. What I did think was strange was that the area code number of 916 on his website is not the number he uses to call me back which was from 714. I didn't think anything of it until the experience on ordering a service using his online form. It took a longer time to fill out the form than I imagined, with repeated requests of the same information. At the end, there are two big buttons side by side: a button for "Print this Form" and right next to it is the "Submit" button. I clicked Print this Form and low and behold, there was a charge added to the total for an extra $14.95 to Print the online form I just filled out! I called him to say I didn't feel comfortable with that and he hung up on me. Putting two and two together, I would not feel comfortable doing business with someone who isn't honest and upfront. The printing option did not come with an extra charge disclaimer, putting people like me in a position to waste more time in finding a good service provider. Sometimes working with a one person company is a good thing, but in this case, it is not. Go with a reputable company for an important service such as this. read more

He was timely on serving the individual requested but filled out the incorrect proof of summons paper...so I stood in court and attempted to file it and got rejected at the window. So not only did I waste my time, I have to wait for the correct form to be mailed to me and I don't have the time to wait in court again to file it, but it needs to be with the court so I can proceed forward with my case. Being in Seattle and needing to serve someone in Sacramento on a holiday on short notice I went online. Thankfully I came across Serves R Us! I called around a bit being this is the first time I have ever been involved with anything of this nature. I was not impressed with the other process server's sites and decided to go with Serves R Us because of his great phone demeanor and ease of site. I messed up the email address when sending the serving documents and he was on top of it! I received an email within a few hours that he had not received the necessary documents making me feel like more than just a case number. This was my first experience having to serve someone, and James Thomas was super patient and thoughtful, pointing out two separate mistakes (one made by me, another by the court) that could possibly hinder my suit and/or settlement in the future. James gave me advice on how to rectify the issues over the phone, since I'm not local to the are. After it was all taken care of by the court James served the papers the same day I had them sent to him. Super fast service (most other places say at least 3 business days, or will charge you more money). I'd highly recommend anyone to give them a call, the process was quick and easy, and James was very courteous. I live in Los Angeles County. I needed to serve a legal document on an out of State Corporation. I tried to have the Los Angeles County Sheriff serve the location office of the company. The manager refused to accept serve. The manager told the sheriff that only the corporate office could accept legal documents and he did not know the address to the local corporate office. The company that is authorized to accept the legal filing for the corporation is located in Sacramento. Serves R Us told me to make sure that the original filing was amended to show the correct name on the filing as shown on the Secretary of State website. The Small Claim Court Forms require specific information as listed on the Secretary of State Website for have a valid proof of service for a valid proof of service. I contacted Serves R Us to serve the authorize agent. Their website is very easy to use. All documents are uploaded to their server for processing. The documents were served within one day. Just one problem the proof of service was generated on a three page format. The court rejected the three page proof of service. The court said the proof of service had to be on a two page format. The proof of service was completed on a two page format by Serves R Us in accordance with the court rules. The corrected two page format proof of service was filed with the court. Serves R Us will send an original hard copy of the proof of service by mail within a couple of days after their service is completed. Jim was great to deal with. Extremely professional and patient. My first call was on a Saturday and to my surprise he answered the call right away. He explained the process and pricing and answered all of my questions. I submitted the form and payment the following Monday. Uploaded the documents to be served on Tuesday morning and he called to say he personally served them that same day. Great and fast action.
