Which we were granted status in record time. THANK YOU! As a designer I will, without a doubt, be using ASPECT LAW GROUP in the future to help me with writing and negotiating client contracts and any other legal services I may need.

We lean on Aspect for work-for-hire contracts and employment law advice. We often need contract review, edits, and advice on a very short time frame and James has always been incredibly responsive. He is a great communicator over email, over the phone, and in person. He is pragmatic, thorough, and sensitive to the needs of our business. I'm a critical reader, writer, and thinker, and a lot of contracts come across my desk, so I have a decent amount of practical legal savvy in the domains in which my business operates. I appreciate that James respects that savvy, meets me at my level of understanding, and is willing and able to quickly and concisely provide theoretical background of various laws and terms such that he and I can collaborate effectively, and I can make the most informed decisions possible. I also appreciate that the invoices we receive from Aspect are very detailed (so much so that we were jealous--we changed our process in our business so that we could generate such excellent, detailed invoices!). We know exactly where our money is going. Overall, Aspect's billing is fair and, most importantly, a great value. Bottom line: as a small business owner, I would absolutely recommend working with Aspect Law Group.

I highly discouraged any woman or business thinking about hiring Susan to choose someone else…read more You're going to waste a lot of time and money. And here is just a glimpse into my poor experience with her. She is incredibly unethical read the very last sentence of my review and see the attached picture to see why. Susan used her many years practicing law as her reason for charging considerably more for her services. She (Res Nova Law) filed my trademark and a straight forward estimated to take 9 months to 1 year process took nearly 2 years. The delays resulted from: her poor organization, changing law firms, and mistakes on my application just to name a few. During my phone consult she assured me hiring a seasoned lawyer (her) would insure my paperwork would be filed correctly and that I'd avoid common mistakes other less seasoned lawyer would make. What ended up happening was a series of problems which she kept referring to as unfortunate. She lied to me, she had a paralegal & office assistant filling out my paperwork, she WAS NOT doing the work like she had told me during our consultation. So when the FIRST round of mistakes popped up she blamed it the person she had do all the work and then turned around and demanded I must pay her $350 per hour to fix the issue. Since I'd already paid her over a thousand dollars not including the application fee's I was stuck. When I hired Susan she had her own law firm. But then 9 months after filing my application (surprise) more problems popped up and she demanded I must repay the initial retainer amount ALL OVER AGAIN since she is NOW with a new law firm. She had joined (Jordan Ramis) law firm (which surprise after a short stint is no longer there anymore) and not informed me. I kept pleading with her that I had hired her and not this new law firm but she kept insisting I must re-pay her all over again if she is to continue to work with me. After lots of going back and forth and lack of funds I had to contact USTPO myself to fix her errors. Susan caused me so much stress and sleepless nights. Once my trademark was approved I couldn't get a copy of it because Susan had bounced around so many times the address she had put on my application two years ago was no longer an address she was at. She demanded I need to pay her $200 to receive a copy of my trademark. What the heck! Long story short, Susan "seems" like a competent lawyer on the surface. But she is not organized, not truthful and once you are her client you have to pay for her mistakes or start over with a new lawyer. In summary, I feel she is unethical, incompetent and pretends to care about women and small businesses but in fact she only cares about herself and how much money she can squeeze out of a client. Lastly after posting a review on another site she tried to bribe me to remove my email by paying me $1100. See the uploaded picture.

I was incredibly nervous even to approach legal council because it seemed so out of my world. Thankfully, I was walked through every step of the process with ease. If the need arises I will absolutely be calling Res Nova again.
