Do not got to this Doctor's office. To start off i want to say I have been going to this office for almost 10 years. started off by seeing Dr Boyd and when he left about 7 years ago I started to see FNP Vladimir up until 2 years ago when he left too. They were my primary care doctors. Once Vladamir left about 2 years ago I was assigned to Dr Lew as my primary care Doctor. Up until this point I had never seen Dr Lew as I always saw Dr Boyd or FNP Vladimir. Multiple incidents have happened the past 2 years that made me dislike the is doctors office and today was the last straw. It was not just one incident that we can brush off as a "one off" or "it happens" incident. 1. about 1 year ago I cut the tip of my left ring finger off with a electric saw. Bone and all. Went to the ER and they patched me up. The next day I call my primary care doctor's office to go in and have him check me out and see what needs to be done and get the authorization to see a specialist. They did not want to accept me in office due to covid restrictions they had implemented in their office, After some arguing I was able to set an appointment and go in to get the authorization. 2. My wife about 8 months ago had sever back pains. She called to go see the primary care doctor. Due to covid again they did not give her an appointment. She was in such pain that she couldnt move. They gave a zoom call meeting after which they got authorization to get and Xray. They Xray came back not showing anything, When we asked to get an MRI the doctor told us it was not necessary as they dont see anything in the Xray to warrant an MRI. After some back and forth for a few days they finally put the authorization in and we got it approved, The MRI came back showing my wife had a 6mm and 4mm herniated disk in L3 and L4 lumbar. The fact that they didnt even want to put an authorization was upsetting. Put the authorization in...do your job as a Doctor...let the insurance company deny it. At least show some concern. 3. My wife got diagnosed with Cancer 2 months ago. We have them listed as the primary doctor and all pictures/results are forwarded to Lew Medical. Not once have they called as a primary Doctor's office to see if we need anything or need help with anything. For me this solidified the fact that this isnt going be the doctor I want to use in the future. 4. The last straw that made me actually want to get in and write the review was today. I am 40 years old. I have been trying to go to them for the past 2 years to do a physical. Last year they told me due to covid they are not doing annual physical check ups. Now that my wife has cancer I wanted to go in and do my annual physical checkup to make sure I am in good condition as we have kids and just want to be certain. I do an annual physical every year but have not been able to past 2 years. They told me that will have to reschedule again today.. When I asked them to when, they said they didnt know. If you cant see me when I cut my finger off, IF you cant see us when we are in pain or have cancer, and you cant see us for annual physicals then what kind of General Practitioner are you? I get Covid is tough times but we are vaccinated. Imagine if your house is on fire and you call the firefighters and they tell you they are scared to come and fight the fire. My wife, me, brother in law and his wife, and cousins family all go here. We will be changing that ASAP. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! read more

My wife and I have been taken care of for several years by Stephanie Wolff, PA par excellence! One takes what's called a full blood-panel test, the onsite lab results are available within a day, one sees her, and she explains the printout in every-day words. No matter the problem, she first and foremost puts your mind at rest with encouraging words and a smile. Her family is in the entertainment world, as is mine, so that helps a lot. (Plus, she's very attractive, but perhaps one should not say that these days.) Not least, they are part of the Glendale Adventist Hospital which overlooks the freeway, one of the very few A rated hospitals in Southern California. read more

Everybody has their own experiences and mine with Dr. Lew and his PA Stephanie has been excellent. I've never had a more thorough, intelligent and perceptive doctor. His PA takes a very natural holistic approach. He writes everything in his laptop so you know all your concerns are in his file. He does not "blow off" concerns as "not important". If I had some of the issues these negative reviewers had I would be more inclined to express my displeasure with Dr. Lew especially if I we a long time patient. Highly recommend. read more

My wife and i moved from San Dimas to Burbank and needed to get a new D.R. We got a referral to DR Lew and all went well for the first 6mo or so . By the way in 6mo we only saw Lew all of about 12 minutes it was always the physicians assistant . then we got a letter from the office that DR Lew was going to join MDVIP that is when you pay 2000 dollars to be a Vip patient . If you did not pay the 2000 dollars per year you would be seen only on a first come first serve basis . The people that were stupid enough to pay MDVIP your out of pocket 2000 dollars and maybe be seen twice a year plus have any deductible to pay you are just as stupid as DR Lew . I went to the emergency room at Glendale Adventist for really bad stomach ache. They could not figure out what it was, after charging me $200 they said you have to go see your primary care physician in the morning. In the morning I could barely walk. I went to his office the first thing he asked me, out in the lobby, is what insurance I have, then he says he's too busy he doesn't have time. He said for me to go back to the emergency room. I explained to him that the emergency room sent me to him and he says he's too busy there's nothing he can do and for me to go back to the emergency room, mind you at this point I'm almost falling on the floor from the pain. I went back to the emergency room and it turned out to be my gallbladder. Had to have emergency surgery. As my pcp he was extremely unhelpful and rude, I will never go back to him again. read more

Dr. Lew has been my doctor for many years now, I think 15+. He's one of the few doctors I have met who sits and listens to you, answers your questions, and seems like he really cares. His staff is also attentive. They have a nice office, centrally located. Dr. Lew is sometimes booked up so in a pinch, I saw Dr. Boyer once, and I consider him my doctor as well. Lew has been my doctor for several years, and after today I will no longer be using him or referring him to friends and family. I've been waiting four hours for a simple 'yes' or 'no' for a prescription to be called in. Meanwhile, I'm stuck going to urgent care and waiting yet another few hours for a prescription. The gentleman on the 'emergency line' was less than accommodating and clearly just wanted to get off the phone with me. This 'so called doctor' has neglected the care of my mother so much that she is now hospitalized with complications, He would not return her multiple calls stating she has pain and difficulty breathing and never followed through with referring her to a pulmonary specialist. The office staff was nice and would take a message every time my mother called. They know what has gone on in this case. I'm not sure how to even begin...I highly suggest that you continue your search for a new physician. My mother's health was extremely compromised under the care of Dr. Lew. It took 7 days of calling to get her x-ray results, may I add that these same x-rays that Dr. Lew gave the "all's well", sent my mother to the hospital immediately after being seen by a Pulmonologist to have fluid extracted from around her lungs. Her complaints of not getting better went completely unheard. When I confronted Dr. Lew on the timeline of events and his apparent negligence he simply said "I do not know how to answer that" or he and his staff were very busy...why then is he excepting new patients when competent care is not being provided to his current patients? Thank God my mother had family support to carry her through this challenging time...for those who do not have a support system I would quickly move on to another physician. We are currently gathering reports, documents, etc. to file a formal complaint with the State Medical Board. read more

Terrible experience here. I'm on two medications that you are not supposed to just stop taking. The office wouldn't refill my prescriptions without a visit. Ok fine, I set up an appointment ASAP. I go in they failed to verify my new insurance before I got there, but I came with my insurance card, should be no issue right? They can't seem to get on the phone with anyone at blue cross one of the largest insurance providers in the country. If I don't verify I run the risk of being charged 300 dollars out of pocket. The woman at the front gives me the info to call myself, so I say "ok let me go do that really quickly" she tells me the doctor I was supposed to see is now gone for the day. They offer an appointment for later in the day, ok well I have work and I took off for this appointment. So I leave without my prescriptions one for my depression and anxiety with I've struggled with my entire life and another for birth control. Absolutely ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and find a more competent office to visit that puts patients safety and health first. Clearly this one only cares about money. read more
