I really love this school but about a year ago I broke my ankle and when I reached out to the school I didn't get any real help even though they have a carpool system setup. Well today they posted on Facebook trying to help another look for a carpool, so a little bitter I comment, I hope they can help them because when I needed it they didn't and there where several other comments says in the same thing. Next thing I know they delete the post and message me insinuating that I'm a liar and I don't appreciate that. I think they handle this situation very poorly.

My 7 year old Daughter (2nd Grade) use to attend San Tan Elementary, but after every night of her coming home crying because of the lack of discipline in the school I pulled her out, and took the available spot Edu-prize had called me about. Edu-prize has changed my daughters life, and she is reading better then ever, getting hundreds on her spelling tests, and is even doing really well in Math and LOVES going to school. She has had such an easy time making friends in Edu-prize, and her teacher Mrs. Gant is AMAZING and I would ask for her if you have a kid going into the second grade. So far all the teachers my daughter has dealt with at Edu-prize have been amazing and you are one of the lucky ones if you are able to get your kids into this school!

I had an IEP form that was not accurate or understandable when reviewed by my new school. The Leading Edge staff made changes to the information without my parent or guardians permission and knowledge. I had been threatened by the vice principal that she would be calling the cops due to throwing an empty plastic water bottle at a student who was physically assaulting another kid. The school staff, withheld my transcripts when they learned I was going to another school. My parents contacted LEA MULTIPLE TIMES, even going into the school to get them before we received the transcripts. Leading Edge staff protect bullies due to their parents being on staff. These students cause problems constantly but are never addressed, creating a sense of disruption, anxiety, and fear among the students. I and other students have had things stolen from our bags multiple times, and when the staff was told that the police would be involved the item would mysteriously return the next day in our bag. For Spirit week, the principal and vice principal dressed up in onesies and pacifiers, riding tricycles and talking to students like babies. They also had scoops of ice cream in their hands which they had students, of several grades, lick off. The students were then encouraged to do the same to each other in front of the school. Some teachers and staff treated the students really well, but the majority of the staff bullied and neglected the students.

It is very family oriented and you'll see families come together supporting the kids and teachers at any given event. Our kindergartner is autistic and she has fit in well and is flourishing there. The school provides a lot of resources and activities for the students. They have band, orchestra, student council, mathletes, a gifted and talented program, cool clubs for the kids like kickball club and card trading club and much more. Our kindergartener registered for soccer this past fall and basketball camp during Spring Break and has just had a blast. I love how I never feel awkward at events because there aren't any "clicks" amongst the parents and kids there. There is not a religious belief pushed on to the kids here either. The principal is always out walking around and engaging with students and parents every day and has made time to discuss anything necessary when we have needed help. If you are looking for a school that will encourage your children to be the best version of themselves and to learn to make good choices...this is it. We ultimately as parents just want our kids to be kind, caring human beings in this world and this is the school that will promote that.

My kids used to go to Benjamin Franklin charter schools and were two grades ahead of their peers when we moved them over to ALA. Now, our children can barely pass their grades. Additionally, their administration is piss poorly managed. This school does not give one flying crap about your child. They care about one thing and one thing only and that is making money. This is made obvious by the fact that this school allows children who have been kicked out of other schools for different reasons to come to this school and cause problems within the school, making it difficult for kids who want to have a good education to get one. They refuse to expel problem children which causes this school to no longer be an elite learning institution but instead has turned into thug babysitting. Recently, my child's life was threatened by another student. All they did was suspend the child for three days instead of expelling him from the school. Glenn Way should be embarrassed but he refuses to address the blaring issues.

Mr. Ellis has been going out of his way to teach the students about the Quran and being Muslim and how it is the correct way and that evolution isn't real and is racist. He takes time out of the class when the kids should be learning so that he can impose his religion onto your children. They have an inability to keep any type of quality teacher. For the first 3/4 of the year, my son had a teacher from the Philippines that could not speak English long enough to hold a conversation more than three words sentences. This is who they have teaching your children. Not only that the administration will sit here and tell you how they don't have transgender students. All you have to do is sit at the sidewalk and watch there is plenty of them. But when one puts their hands on your student and your student retaliates, your student gets in trouble so they can protect the faculties family member. Believe the negative reviews they are all real. Any other school is better than this I mean, look what happened to Preston, Lord
