My daughter attended Eduprize for 2nd grade, and I was initially very excited because the children of one of my close friends go here. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. My daughter's teacher, Ms. Bradley, was consistently unkind and lacked compassion--not just toward my child, but toward the entire class. She does not have the patience or heart needed to teach young children. Attempting to address concerns was frustrating from the start. The assistants to the vice principal and even the principal themselves refused to speak with me by phone and would only communicate through email. I ultimately had to escalate two separate issues to the superintendent. One major issue involved a classmate who caused physical harm to three students. Parents were not informed about the situation at all. When I raised my concerns, the school cited "student privacy." I made it clear I was not asking for the student's name or personal information--I simply wanted to be informed and reassured that my child was safe. When chairs are being thrown during an episode, parents deserve to know what precautions are being taken to ensure student safety, both in the classroom and throughout the school. Other parents posted how their kids legs were being clawed at when the kid was hiding under the table during his episode. And not one email went out from the teacher nor the principal. The second issue involved the school's use of i-Ready testing as the sole basis for rewards. Regardless of a child maintaining good grades all year, if they do not show improvement on i-Ready testing, they are excluded from rewards. Ms. Bradley held an ice cream party for students who showed improvement from the beginning of the year. My daughter's math i-Ready score stayed the same, so she was excluded--despite earning strong grades all year. She came home crying, saying, "I'm so dumb" and "I'm not worthy" because she didn't get to participate. Only four students were excluded, including my daughter. I showed her her report card with A's and B's and reassured her that she worked incredibly hard and is absolutely not dumb. When I followed up about the i-Ready scores not being posted, I emailed the teacher after waiting a week. I was told the school does not go by grades because i-Ready scores help maintain the school's A rating and evaluate teacher performance. I took this to mean that because my daughter did not show improvement in every subject on i-Ready, she was denied a reward because she did not make the school look better nor the teacher look better. I want to be clear that this is not a reflection of all teachers at Eduprize. Unfortunately, we ended up with a 2nd grade teacher who showed no empathy toward her students. There is a parent group monitored by school administration where parents are not allowed to freely share concerns or experiences. Because of this, another parent created a separate group. In that group, several parents have shared similar experiences regarding Ms. Bradley. One parent posted how she denied the bathroom to her son and he asked 3 separate times, he then peed himself in front of the entire class and she decided to blame him "you didn't tell me it was an emergency". It is heartbreaking to read what these 8-year-old children went through. Many kids began to hate going to school, which shows the profound impact a teacher can have on young students. No child should feel unworthy or unsafe at school. read more

My daughter is a good student and has struggled from time to time in her math class. Her teacher, Mrs. Kelly has been passive aggressive with her around her request for assistance to complete and learn basic assignments and when assignments or papers have been lost in the past )2 occasions), she has literally refused to provide her a new sheet of paper to complete the assignment.. On both occasions, I have reached out to this teacher and the principal Bryce Solberg. Both times I was met by indifference and excuses. Initially, the principal Bryce refused to even respond to my question and directed me to the teacher. Finally, I complained and said I would make a complaint to the administration and even unenroll my daughter from the school if they didn't provide her an opportunity to complete the assignment... that she asked for prior to its deadline. Bryce finally intervened saying I was threatening them and he discontinued the discussion I explained my only threat was to complain about him and his administration and their refusal to provide my daughter with necessary paperwork to complete her work Math class. I will unenroll my daughter from the school, and I have honestly never experienced this kind of hostility and immature, passive aggressive behavior from a teacher. If my daughter had done something wrong or had some sort of behavioral problem in the class, that would be one thing. But putting her off and refusing to provide an additional quiz or homework sheet because the teacher was indignant is not a reason to deprive my daughter of an education or to ruin her grades. All of this does not even address the fact that there is a hostile environment for my daughter...not from other children, but the staff themselves. Unfortunately, I could not recommend the school to anybody who was depending on a positive relationship with the administration or the teaching staff working with hand-in-hand with parents/students. read more

I went here for three years and I just moved houses to transfer and today was my last day I had a great 3 years and I made a ton of friends I can still talk to, Overall the teaching is great and you can make friendly conversations with all the staff if your nice and overall have a good Attitude, thank you Eduprize for letting me have a good student experience. read more

I really love this school but about a year ago I broke my ankle and when I reached out to the school I didn't get any real help even though they have a carpool system setup. Well today they posted on Facebook trying to help another look for a carpool, so a little bitter I comment, I hope they can help them because when I needed it they didn't and there where several other comments says in the same thing. Next thing I know they delete the post and message me insinuating that I'm a liar and I don't appreciate that. I think they handle this situation very poorly. read more

My 7 year old Daughter (2nd Grade) use to attend San Tan Elementary, but after every night of her coming home crying because of the lack of discipline in the school I pulled her out, and took the available spot Edu-prize had called me about. Edu-prize has changed my daughters life, and she is reading better then ever, getting hundreds on her spelling tests, and is even doing really well in Math and LOVES going to school. She has had such an easy time making friends in Edu-prize, and her teacher Mrs. Gant is AMAZING and I would ask for her if you have a kid going into the second grade. So far all the teachers my daughter has dealt with at Edu-prize have been amazing and you are one of the lucky ones if you are able to get your kids into this school! read more

My grandson is now attending his second year. The first year was amazing he did so well. The second year has started, and he is off to a very rough start. The new teacher obviously has not seen or read his iep because she has not modified his work. He is being overloaded with homework and overwhelmed in class. When I asked her why he wasn't on a modified plan, she said she didn't know he had an iep. And then I explained all that should have been sent to her before he even started class. She had no answer. Ugh. So we kept getting emails with massive homework requests then one came saying parents your children are not able to keep up in class you need to go buy books and flash cards and help your kids study and learn this math. As we are moving to the next step soon and they will be listed if they don't know it? What? Isn't that her job? And my grandson has an iep. Isn't someone working extra with him helping him? So I called the office and scheduled a review of his iep and told them he needs a NEW ONE OBVIOUSLY! And that this is not happening to him this year he is not getting behind. Maybe he needs to change school's if they can't teach him. so we have the meeting scheduled, and hopefully, we will get the help he needs. If not, it's done. They get him moved to a teacher who can teach or he is moving school's. I'm so disappointed he loves his classmates but hates school if that makes sense. I will post an update when they figure it out. The stars may go down to 2 if we have to move schools. I pray we don't. I hope it was an honest mistake, and they get it all fixed. But he is older, and even 5 weeks can mess up a kids year. read more

I had several mothers tell me about Eduprize and how great it was. I was a little nervous when I was told there is a waiting list and you have to agree to put time in the classroom. Now that I am in the classroom volunteering, I realize why it is so great. I can see first hand why my daughter struggles in some areas and does great in others. I can see how the others are struggling too and I can be apart of helping them, even if it is just for a day. This school's requirement to have parents volunteer is something ALL SCHOOLS SHOULD DO! read more

The worst school I have ever sent my teenage daughter to. She has been harassed, bullied, even attacked by other students (and teachers) at times and was completely ignored. Do not send your child to eduprize, it will be the worst mistake you will ever make and leave your child scarred for years. My daughter would often come home crying and occasionally covered in bruises/cuts. She was cyber bullied and even bullied in person. She became a shell of a person due to eduprize's ignorance. However, there are/were some really amazing teachers there. Mrs. Trezise, Mrs. Lewis, Ms. Landrum, and Mrs. Richert were all amazing and easy to communicate with. Overall this was a terrible choice of schools and since withdrawing my daughter shes been thriving and much happier. Her grades have also improved significantly :). Don't fall for the sales pitch, your children are worth so much more than this. read more

I'm disappointed to say that our experience with Eduprize this year was not positive and ended as expected but not as hoped. Not only was the best interest of my son not the primary concern, internal emails (that can be requested legally by any parent) proved a pattern of looking for reasons for Jordan to be treated unfairly. As a child with absolutely no behavior issues, I'm very confused as to the reason. Last Monday early in my son's school day he walked with his class in line to the bathroom. The teacher had 5 boys go into the bathroom at a time. When my son's group came out his teacher yelled for those 5 boys to line up against the wall. A 2nd grade student pointed to my son when asked by the teacher who had said a bad word. The teacher did not ask my son anything but my son did say, Ms. Braathen I didn't say a bad word. She then yelled at him asking "why would he lie", then yelled"get to the back of the line". He asked if he was in trouble and she said yes but nothing was done for hours. He sat in class very fearful of what to expect for hours. Finally the Dean of students came to get him and he was an emotional mess, crying and scared. The Dean asked who else would have heard what he said in the bathroom so that he could investigate. After speaking to at least one of the students the Dean found that my son had not said a bad word or done anything wrong because his recounting of the conversation was confirmed word for word. After his visit to the dean's office he was sent back to class where there was no apology in front of the students who he had been accused and yelled at in front of. There had been no announcement that what he was accused of was false. Instead he was told to eat his snack that was missed and where the class was. This situation and treatment was not the first instance of unfair or mean treatment this year by this teacher. In light of the whole picture I requested a move in classrooms for my son's wellbeing, education and safety. That request was initially denied and when I did not allow for his return to his classroom I was told that a meeting with the superintendent was the only way to possibly get a change in teachers. So we scheduled for her first available meeting which was today, after my son being home for almost 2 weeks. At the meeting today it was expressed that my son should be able to learn conflict resolution through this experience and should go back to his previous class which we had already stated was not an option for us. I believe that children should learn conflict resolution with other students and teaching styles but it is not a 9 year Olds responsibility or place to figure out how to get along with a teacher who does not like him, does not protect him and singles him out in a line up before calling him a liar by asking why another student would lie. Obviously our response is to then remove him from eduprize and place him in a safe, supportive and educational environment. After reading multiple emails I became well aware of the set up my 9 year old son was put in. Previous teachers did not like that he had supportive family who looked out for his best interest. These teachers continued communication with his teacher as soon as he was placed in her class. The teacher thanked the Dean for having her back and emailed multiple lies that can be proved in order for my son to be viewed negatively. I'm so thankful that I learned this information and that my son is no longer in this environment and I just wanted to share our story so that mom's have the information that they may need. Since taking to other moms at eduprize now or previously I've also learned some very sad and disappointing things. I hope no one else has to go through this but hope that if you're questioning things you feel empowered to learn everything you can and advocate for your kids. read more

This is an amazing school! Children are valued and treated with respect. Teachers work hard to be creative and provide a safe learning environment conducive to learning for all abilities. Front office staff is warm and offer a friendly greeting. Eduprize has an outstanding sports program for grades 6-8, and has won numerous awards including state championships. Coaches are patient and teach teamwork and sportsmanship. Students get an excellent foundation starting in pre-school learning letter sounds, sight words, and number sense and get a real head start for the rigorous curriculum. Eureka Math, Suzy Caulkins Writing, and multi-curricular thematic units called cottages give kids the opportunity to learn vocabulary, and problem solving strategies in conjunction with history, social studies, current events, science, live learning labs, and computers. Kids are using ipads, laptops, and smart board on a daily basis. Kids are engaged and take ownership for their progress and are celebrated for their achievements. read more

This is the best school!! I'm constantly amazed at the innovation and creativity here. My children's teachers have impressed me each year, from kindergarten all the way through 8th grade. I love this school! I actually went to QC EDUPRIZE when it first opened and I LOVED IT! I still visit as well from time-to-time. The school is run by friendly, and hardworking staff and the environment is wonderful! There cottage fairs are always fun for the parents and the students. 5 star learning environment! 5 stars staff! 5 star experience! Drop-off and uncaring feeling are concerns. 1. 3 double drop-off lanes of car traffic for kids to cross...with minimal safety aides. Kids are only feet away from cars. 2. No safety barrier between cars and school sidewalk - mostly un-attended drop-offs. 3. Use of child door locks are NOT "encouraged" for drop-off. Aides are instructed by management to only initially help kindergarten kids out of cars in the beginning of the school year...parents are instructed not to get out of their car. 4. Aide interaction is about moving the car more than helping your child. More of an issue with younger children leaving their parents. 5. Single lane access to school so driving off-road to get around very long lines of cars is common. 6. Been mistakenly called 2 times this year asking why our child is not in school...after dropping them off at school ourselves! Reason for writing this is after 2 years of repeated safety complaints or disconnected aide/management interactions...nothing changes. Only a lawsuit will eventually get their attention. When you run a school for children yet parents are shown their child is not the priority...something is wrong. read more

We have lived in San Tan Valley for the past 10 years and know there are a lot of options for schooling, but we have been incredibly impressed with Eduprize! We have been attending Eduprize now for SIX years now and couldn't be more pleased with the staff and faculty. I don't wish to waste much time here, because we have been gone from this nightmare school that Ashley W. has a very good understanding of for a full semester The teachers are bully's the kids bully other students, and the staff are left over or newly hired. of what remains of what was once Eduprize all the faculty, students, and parents of the students that helped make this school great a long time ago left for Great hearts schools back 3 school years ago. The teachers are the kind that can't get hired anywhere else, One I know of personally has her Mom help in class , My child said "Only person that yells louder than her is her mother" that is how I learned her mother helps her. Also she has posted on social media that she drinks too much has pictures associated with her name, and Eduprize name of profanity and drinking, along with obscene gestures. Eduprize Queen Creek Jr High is the worst. The honor classes are NOT honor classes they are accelerated classes and when you switch your kids to public school they will not be able to keep up with honors classes. My child was a straight A student, loved math and hated it after Mr. Gaede for math. He is one of the worst teachers we have ever had. The aides also treat the junior high kids terribly. We switched to the gilbert school district. It took a little time but my child is finally catching up and is treated well at school. Ofcourse all the sports, music, cheer and lots more is a plus. read more

My daughter attended this school for kinder and first grade. Kinder wasn't bad as the teacher switched up homework, had great communication and kept her interested in class. However, first grade was far different. it was common core math homework every single night and NOTHING else, ever, the entire year. Not only that ,my daughter got frustrated in class because the teacher wasn't covering enough math to help her understand how to do it. we had virtually no communication from the teacher and even learned that our daughter was sent to the nurse 4 times with no call what-so-ever from the school, once to flush out sand from her eyes. The complete lack of cafeteria made it impossible to make a decent lunch as well because the 2 years she attended she had no access to a refrigerator or microwave to eat anything other than room temperature or ice pack chilled food. We started her at a new school for 2nd grade and within the first week learned that Eduprizes math program has the students far behind the public school system. 2nd grade is starting with review math problems that Eduprize never even touched on. We now have to take extra time for her to catch up to the public school curriculum. Far beyond disappointed. read more
