This school is great but the best teacher is Mr.K he gives a lot of homework but actually cares about his students .

I was there for 6 years, the school education is horrible. Leading Edge is behind public and charter schools in the Valley, though it says otherwise. I had an IEP form that was not accurate or understandable when reviewed by my new school. The Leading Edge staff made changes to the information without my parent or guardians permission and knowledge. I had been threatened by the vice principal that she would be calling the cops due to throwing an empty plastic water bottle at a student who was physically assaulting another kid. The school staff, withheld my transcripts when they learned I was going to another school. My parents contacted LEA MULTIPLE TIMES, even going into the school to get them before we received the transcripts. Leading Edge staff protect bullies due to their parents being on staff. These students cause problems constantly but are never addressed, creating a sense of disruption, anxiety, and fear among the students. I and other students have had things stolen from our bags multiple times, and when the staff was told that the police would be involved the item would mysteriously return the next day in our bag. For Spirit week, the principal and vice principal dressed up in onesies and pacifiers, riding tricycles and talking to students like babies. They also had scoops of ice cream in their hands which they had students, of several grades, lick off. The students were then encouraged to do the same to each other in front of the school. Some teachers and staff treated the students really well, but the majority of the staff bullied and neglected the students. read more

I only like mr towner and the sports not trying to be mean but i fell like some of the teachers dont even care if you get bullied and only enforce rules on some of the kids also if your putting your kid in 5th grade dont go anywhere nere ryder read more

Love this school. The Mountain View location is home to my kiddos. We tried to put our kids in a more convenient school and after 6 months we still couldn't make it work. The staff are all kind and willing to take ownership of the school and their positions. read more

Excellent school! We have been a part of the Leading Edge Academy, Mountain View school since 2013, and the school continues to be the right choice for our family. My children's education is my obsession. Initially my plan was to homeschool them, which we did for a year, but I had heard great things about this school from a friend in our neighborhood and I had to come check it out. Meeting with the principal, Mr. Butcher for the first time in 2013, my husband and I were so impressed with his kind demeanor. The classrooms at the time were small but the kids were engaged in meaningful work. We enrolled our two oldest kids there right away. Now the school has grown! They have a large two story building that houses K-6, and they have a separate place on campus for 7-8. Teachers and staff work hard to create multiple learning opportunities for students: - special events at school (in-school science explorations, Art & Literacy Night, fun run) - field trips - academic competitions (Spelling Bee, Geography Bee, Math Olympics) - Monthly Character assembly to award students demonstrating citizenship, responsibility, trustworthiness, respectfulness, fairness, and caring - overnight science camps for middle school students - sports programs (basketball, flag football, soccer, cross country, track & field) - clubs (dance, origami, Legos, tutoring) This school is amazing because of the people and families who work hard together to make it a great place. This is an incredible school! K-5th. We went to 5 schools around the area to find the perfect school for our daughter and chose this one. Academically top of the line. Relationally: every staff member has been amazing from the receptionist, admin, principle, teachers. They certainly are experienced with Elementary kids in every way you would hope & expect. Gentle, caring, calm, firm, and redirecting them in the right direction. The Principle Mr.Butcher has been there 4 years and leads the staff in professionalism, positivity, excellence & is also very relational. He learns every Child's name & is there at drop off or pick up making sure no one is overlooked. I can imagine he carries a huge load of responsibilities yet he has taken time to meet with us even over small things & ensure that together we are on the same page with our child's education. He was born for this role. I've never seen someone with so much grace to lead as principle as I see in this guy. We are thankful for the opportunity to have our child here. The staff is wonderful! The classes have optional tutoring for those who need it & can offer advanced studies as well for kids who need more challenge. They have strict safety guidelines & are diligent with informing parents about every thing of any minor concern. Very impressed! Love this school. read more

This one of the worst schools in Arizona. My children never receive homework. I mean never, ever, ever. Some of The teachers are very unprofessional, they don't have a nurse if any child gets injured: some of the teachers have their students grading other students' papers or exams. And if you're a teacher with a child as a student there other teachers will make sure that that Teachers kid makes honor roll guaranteed The pastor's kid goes there and his kid gets honor roll because of all the politics. But my opinion, this school is horrible read more

Amazing place to have your children gain knowledge! Courteous staff, positive environment, and consistent communication with the parents. Not to mention my son never wants to leave so that by itself is an amazing sign! read more
