First off there is only 1 teacher who teaches two class for instance the math teacher steve teaches science and math. He is a horrible teacher for math so then your stuck with him for much of your existence at the school. The teachers here also unlike in the us do not communicate well with the parents. In the us you can reach the teachers via email if you have any questions anytime here they frown upon it. It is even super hard to get a call back from a teacher. If your an international student I would recommend an international school where they'll help you with French etc. here they are so far ahead there is no help if you are joe bring in 8 th grade.

I also likes the fact that FACE runs from kindergarden through to grade 11, giving kids a great sense of continuity throughout their school experience. FACE stands for Fine Arts Core Education, and lives up to its name. If I'm not mistaken, FACE had 6 extra hours of curriculum that they dedicate to the arts. By the time a child has gotten to grade 6 at face they already have a solid foundation in both fine arts and music. An other fun fact about FACE is that it has both an English section (run by the EMSB) and a French side (run by the CSDM). Interestingly enough, despite being enrolled in the English section of FACE most of my daughters classes are taught in French (No, FACE is not considered either a bilingual school or an immersion school). Considering it is such a large school the parent-teacher communication seems relatively good with teachers being available by e-mail and contacting me by phone when issues arise. The scheduled "parent-teacher" nights however are maddening exercise in futility and should be avoided at all costs.

Les surveillants pour la plupart ne sont que présents et ne font rien pour empêcher le harcèlement physique et verbal dans la cour d'école. De plus, le niveau scolaire a baissé terriblement et les profs laissent les enfants à eux même s'occupant des perturbateurs... Je ne recommande pas cette école - et pire je vous recommande de la fuir à tout prix!!!!
