I'm adding a 1 star review because after the years I've been coming here, over 20, my daughter and I both had a cleaning appointment at 2pm Today. Last minute my daughter couldn't make it due to car trouble, so I brought my boyfriend to take her place... thinking of this as better than a no-show, but the office manager that's been there a long time got all snotty with me after telling her this, saying oh "we probably can only do x-rays because it's after 2" I said "we got here at 2 so I'm a little upset about that" she replied "we don't have to take him at all." So I said "maybe you don't have to take either of us" She then got all irate, yelling and telling me "get out!" Pointing at the door. I said "you're the irate one here." ...If this is how you treat your client of many years that had also brought you other clientele of family and friends over the years... I'm honestly just sad and disappointed. What is her deal and why is she unable to solve problems? Not sure what to say or think about this really. Well, thanks for everything. I have been going to this place for years and now they tell me I can't get my teeth cleaned because my insurance changed for X-rays to where they will only pay once every two years. I said I can't afford to pay for X-rays so they said I can't get my teeth cleaned. I called back today to ask why once I calmed down and she wouldn't even let me talk to the girl I was dealing with and I was very nice and apologized since yesterday I was dealing with a truck issue and this dental issue. I told her I would pay for the X-rays and she treated like crap and offered me an appointment on feb 15th I told her I could only do Wednesday she got cranky with me and said she could get me in in May. I said ok I get it you just don't want me as a client she agreed and hung up. I am just shocked at how long I have been going here and they say by them doing this it's looking out for me well not getting my teeth cleaned is not looking out for me and she couldn't give me a good reason just that's it's policy. Stay away these people don't care! read more

Do not go to this dentist. He does not spend any time with the patients and does not offer any treatment plan options. He is basically a yank and pull dentist that refers the work to his partner. I pulled my family out of Edward Street Dental right away as soon as I understood that they are just profiteers. What dentist puts a filling in a baby tooth that is already loose and ready to come out? I had an extraction and they left parts of the tooth in the gum. Then they charged me to take the rest of the tooth out. Do not go here unless you do not have any other alternative. Lots of great dentists nearby. read more

The Dentist, Dr. Homer, and the Hygenist were both amazing. 5 stars. The Reception staff were horrible. 1 star. I keep telling myself, "maybe she's just having a bad day". Just went here once and had a good experience. I had a filling replaced by Dr Watzman.. The office is nice, clean, fairly modern and professional. Nice building and parking. I didn't wait very long for an appointment in the middle of the day on a weekday. The cost was very reasonable and Dr Watzman was professional. When I first started writing this review, I gave Edward Street Dental three stars, but the more I wrote, the more I realized, well ... maybe I'm being biased. Maybe my numb left cheek is writing this review for me. I mean, for a dentist's office, this place isn't half bad. I will say that the dentist gives me consistently good dental work, although he tends to say lots of things I disagree with while I'm sitting there with my mouth hinged open and full of tools, unable to talk back. I kind of find this predicament hilarious, though: what better time to force your opinions on someone? In all actuality, Dr. Homer is a funny guy who's fixed wonky fillings for me, free of charge. I've been going here for over two years and they have a great plan for those of us who don't have dental insurance. I always have fun talking with the hygienists. Four stars it is! read more

Dr. Homer is a great dentist. Very competent, but not too serious that you feel nervous or uncomfortable. He's actually really funny, and that's a big deal for people who don't like going to the dentist! I've been going to ESD for over fifteen years--and decided to stick with him even after moving over half an hour away! read more

Waited 2-3 months for an appointment, took time off work, waited 40 minutes in the waiting room after my temperature was taken(no fever) to be told "the staff" is not comfortable seeing me now because my mother, who I have NOT seen in well over a month and a half to 2 months because I'm an adult & I do not live with her, has COVID and also goes here. They were very well aware who my mother is since they called her the day prior to confirm MY appointment, I am 27 years old. They were also aware my mother has COVID prior to my appointment because they understandably cancelled her appointments but yet waited until I came in the day of and waited in the waiting room for a period of time to let me know this information. Oddly enough during my time sitting in the waiting room I heard them talking about how my mother has COVID and they called medications in for her since she cannot and will not be seen. My mother and I have different addresses which is clearly noted in our charts. After telling me they are not comfortable I scrambled to find my test results which I presented to them NEGATIVE COVID TEST RESULTS I received a week ago, the dates were clearly noted but the staff didn't care to even take a peek or get any closer to me. I let them know again I have not been around her in quite a long time and the 1-2 months was an easy "at least" that amount of time guess-- if need be I can find the exact last date I was near her within our texts. I let them know I work from home, have been quarantined for months now and I took the test to be proactive because I was aware I had appointments coming up. I am a person with integrity but not only that I am someone with anxiety and I did not want to put others at risk because I am well aware of the impact. I understand being cautious during these unprecedented times I work in the healthcare field myself so I totally understand but I believe I provided enough information to clearly prove I am COVID free. If this information wasn't enough then I'm not exactly sure how I could have proved my case anyways, they just did not want to see me after and their minds were made up. We went to this place my entire childhood so I am very disappointed that I will now need to find a new dentist office after my family convinced me how great this place is again enough to wait months for an appointment. It will now be over a year since I've been to the dentist and I made the appointment months ago because I have been experiencing extreme sensitivity on a couple of teeth. As I'm sure anyone can imagine getting time off work right now when you are working in the healthcare field is extremely difficult so to say I am frustrated with how today went would be an understatement. read more

I have had a missing tooth for quite some time and was wearing a flipper, because I was afraid to get an implant. All of that waiting was very unnecessary. If I would have just gone to Edward Street Dental to begin with, I could have saved myself a lot of aggravation! In April I finally went to Edward Street Dental and had Dr. Homer install an implant. It was so quick and easy it made me feel foolish for waiting so long. My recovery was so quick that I was eating an hour after I had it done. I just had the healing collar put on today and that was even easier than the implant. It only took about 10 minutes. Prior to going to Edward Street Dental I had went to another place for an estimate. It was twice the cost of what Edward Street Dental charges and they were not even nice to me. That is not the case with Dr. Homer and his staff. They are all very friendly and professional. It's just a really great place to go. read more

I've been here on four occasions and had the same experience. It's clear the doctor knows what he's doing and does a good job. The problem I had consistently was that he doesn't tell you what he's doing and seems to proceed with what he thinks is best without talking to you about it. He also seems practiced enough to look the part and say the right things, but I was left feeling like he had no actual concern for the patient in the chair. read more

This place is awesome! I tried scheduling an appointment but they were all booked for 2 months. They called me 2 days later and got me in when they had a cancellation which was the next day. The staff is caring and friendly and took there time with me. My first visit i didn't wait no more than 5 minutes. Had an appointment the following week was 15 minutes late and they took me back as I walked in. I give them 10 stars!! read more

The Boyd family has been going to Dr. Watzman and staff for over 30 years. NEVER had a problem. Hygienist (Alicia) is a true professional. There is nothing Dr Watzman wont do for you. He is just a great dentist. If there were 10 star reviews, they would receive them from us. We are moving to Florida but plan to return every 6 months just to be able to go to Edward Street Dental. read more

So I have been going here for about 10 years. The only reason I can't give this place a full five stars is because of Dr. Watzman! If i could swear on this site I totally would (multiple times.) For years I had gone to Dr. Homer but now that I have kids and work from home I have to make my appointments on Saturdays only, and as it turns out Dr. Homer and Dr. Watzman switch out their Saturdays, so there is no real guarantee which dentist I will have. The last FOUR times I was unfortunate enough to have Watzman. EVERY time the man belittles his hygienist (that last time he called her dumb, for walking the wrong way around the chair) and hardly will talk to me. He checked my teeth like how a person on a dog show would examine dogs teeth he stuck both hands in my mouth and pulled my cheeks out and moved my head back and forth! He is a cocky jerk who I have NEVER seen show any respect towards me or his any other staff in the building.I can go on and on about how much of a jack*** this man is, if it weren't for Doctor Homer I don't think he would have any patients. Doctor Homer and the rest of the staff are awesome and very friendly! I would highly recommend them to anyone. The waiting room wait is usually very fast, my son went for his first check up (with Homer) and was very happy and not afraid...then a few days later he got a card from them thanking him for having a good visit and reminding him to brush...that made me and him happy read more

I am extremely disappointed by this office's customer service. I am studying abroad in Asia for one year. The summer before I left, I was completely up to date on my dental work and had a mouth guard made for me. I was told that it should last a long time, and if it ever were to break, I would get another one at no charge to me. Well, not even a couple months into my stay here in Asia, it broke in two. My mom back home called the office to see if there is anything that could be done, as I am currently not even in the country. She was told that what we were saying was ridiculous, that no guarantees are ever made like that and that I wouldn't be getting another one until I came back to the office since I was overdue for an appointment. OF COURSE I'M OVERDUE! I'm living on the other side of the world! Unless you expect me to fly back just to see my dentist, I think this thinking is a little far-fetched. So now I have no mouth guard for the rest of the year thanks to this office's inflexibility and terrible customer service. I will be transferring my records immediately when I return home. Like other reviewers have mentioned, this office has a rotten front desk staff. Too bad, because it's losing them customers left and right. read more
