Cergio is extremely ambitious and does great work. I stopped by this branch which I do a few times each year on average. Most of the time we use a branch closer to our home but this branch is convenient if you have errands to run in the 377 area in Watauga. After getting a little money, I was headed out the door when a gentleman (Cergio) asked if I was interested in saving money on my Chevy's loan. I told him my Chevy was paid for but we bought a new Cadillac a few months prior and I had been trying to get that loan over to EECU with zero luck. In fact, I had been told they were 90+ days behind and were not working to refinance loans very much. I was shocked when the people at our home branch had told me this. All previous experiences with EECU had been great in terms of incentive, speed, service, etc.... I had always found everyone very helpful and responsive so this lagging lengthy display was a new experience. I asked Cergio if he was serious and if he could get the loan switched over within a few weeks. He told me he felt that was exactly what he would do. I spent few minutes getting him our details, exchanging emails and phone numbers and off I went curious as to how this would progress. I had applied four months prior at our branch but was told they could t help us for months. Within 2-3 weeks, Cergio got our loan refinanced, saved us some money with a lower rate and had the loan closed. He even assisted in getting our insurance certificate over to the right people at EECU. Thank you Cergio and Watauga EECU! You did a super job and helped me accomplish something I had been trying to do for months. He had no idea when he approached me. Every time I come to this location, I can never get any help. There will hardly be any customers and still can't get anyone to assist you. For example I sat in the drive through for at least 10 minutes before getting help. Other cars were pulling in and getting help right away. Customer service needs improvement. read more

I am a first time business owner, and was really confused about setting up my LLC and business banking account. The lady that set up my account whose name unfortunately I have forgotten was amazing. She answered all questions was very patient very professional, and just an overall nice person. She walked me through the process which she did not have to do but she did anyway. I have experienced check fraud twice and all issues have been resolved quickly. I can go inside the bank and Ive always been greeted with respect and a smile. We opened this account less than two weeks ago. We've always been loyal to credit unions, but apparently credit unions in Texas aren't very member-friendly like they were up north! So we opened this account and set up payroll direct deposit. The first payroll deposit got messed up somehow and we tried calling customer service. After an hour and 40 minutes on hold total, we got hung up on twice. We also deposited a personal check made out to us a week ago and they are holding the check for 15 days (9 business days), the full maximum allowed by state law. Since technology gives us instant access to information, it should not take 9 business days to clear a $200 personal check drawn on an account that has the funds available. As soon as those funds are available, we're withdrawing them and closing the account. EECU is by far the WORST banking experience I've ever had. Unfortunately I'm back on the hunt for a good local bank or credit union that has a clue about customer service and doesn't require a five-figure daily balance. read more

I have had an account at EECU for 30 + years and have never had a complaint. Recently, I applied for a small car repair loan and didn't receive satisfactory service; however, when the branch manager where I do business frequently, heard that I was unhappy she went out her way to see that the situation was corrected. I have had several problems in the past with EECU but Last Saturday I experienced the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered from any financial institution. I needed to deposit the check from my insurance company for a collision repair that was made out to me and EECU since I still owe on the truck. I brought the insurance estimate, all the paperwork from the repair company given to me when I paid for the repair and the receipt for payment. However, they refused to endorse the check because of some verbiage on the collision paperwork. I will be closing all my accounts as soon as everything clears. Never do business with this credit union!!! read more

My experience with this credit union was the worst I've had with any financial institution. The staff was rude, blatantly confrontational and exuded such disdain for their jobs that the air was stifling. There seems to be no recognition of the importance of customer service - particularly when it involves a new/potential member looking to deposit their money. The spirit of the mission of the organization is lacking as these cliquish "Stepford ex-wives" breathe a sigh of relief when they manage to "wave away" a customer and "pawn" them off onto an (equally disgruntled) colleague. No one is helpful and willing to answer questions or direct customers to the proper location, leaving you wandering and confused - wondering why you're even considering giving this institution your business. And in typical "this is only my job I don't care if you leave because that means I'll have less work to do" fashion of an unhappy employee, there is no attempt to reconcile or rectify the hostile environment created. It was a very uncomfortable and disturbing experience, and this branch gives EECU a very poor reputation in the community. read more

Best service ever. Went in to open a checking account and when I deposited my funds I asked the teller about a home loan for remodeling. When I met with the loan manager she not only helped me with a personal finance loan she was able to save me money on my home through a refinance and an auto refinance. Friendly and respectful staff. Did not spend much time at the actual bank. I was able to go back to work and execute all documents at a later convenient time for my schedule. Definitely top notch bank. read more
