I am a women construction business owner in El Paso Texas for 43 years with an A + rating with the BBB I went on Jan 19, 2021 to pick up a pallet of bricks that had been order and was treated very rudely by the employees at E & F they were not pleasant nice nor eager to help the day was cold and windy out side the warehouse guy forklift operator was very mean ! I ask him if he could help me secure the loose bricks as the pallet had to be open he refuse he barked at me there was was plastic ! on the lower bricks yes but there was none on the loose bricks he was mean & ugly to me when he had to get off the fork lift to get the order as I interrupt his playing on his phone . The counter lady was not nice nor pleasant either ! A paying customer should be treated nicely whether you like your job or not with out us you would not have a job ! Charlotte Schmidt A.C. They do have a wide variety, however, I am rating on the website information and on the phone customer service. Their website times are incorrect. Call before you go. They close at 4:30 and website says 5. I visited from far westside, and they did not help me even through the website said they were open. The phone customer service is poor. Not very helpful. We called this "business" to get the price for the Terra-Cotta flooring. The person who answered the phone responded with, "I'm afraid you may be a competitor and therefore cannot give you the price over the phone." Thinking it was a rookie employee, I hung up. I decided to call back and ask for the owner. Apparently, it was the same person who had answered the phone a few minutes prior. I asked him again about the price. He said he was "afraid of the competition." Ridiculous. This man has no business opening a business. Competition exists everywhere. What planet does this guy live on? A potential customer calls and you automatically assume he's the competitor? This guy lost big on my sale. I was looking to purchase over 5,000 square feet of the Saltillo Terra-Cotta PLUS all the extras. Because of your stupidity, you lost yourself a $10,000+ sale. After reading a few reviews from other people, it seems like this guy doesn't really give a crap about his own customers. Don't go to this place. They don't even open during their hours of operation. You're more worried about the competitor than you are running a business. No wonder you're afraid. You're better off going to work for someone else. With this lack of professionalism, you won't last long in this town. I wouldn't go back even if this rookie gave me the tile for free. I rather spend my money elsewhere than give it moronic people who have no real concept of running a business. You're better off opening up a business in the middle of nowhere. read more

I'm a multiple repeat customer of EF Building materials. They always treat me right. They are old school and I like that. I never post reviews but after reading the scathing remarks from the last poster that did not bother to go into the store, I had to stick up for this business. I think the previous was posted by a competitor that is losing business to EF. They are known in El Paso as the best place to buy Saltillo tile. read more
