Brian is an exceptional teacher with a lot of passion and love for his students and all ethnicities and nationalities. He is just amazing!!!!! Very positive and I would easily say it is the best teacher I've ever had in my life (and I've finished the university in my country so I've had some people to choose from for the best teacher or professor of my life haha) Angel is a great sensitive teacher as well. Very sweet and nice. Liz from the office was helpful sometimes too. Nikki is young energetic girl! I like her a lot she helped me out and always welcome me with a big smile! She really cares for the school's image and for us to feel listened. I like that! You are welcome to talk with her about any ideas or issues You may have and she will try to help You out. She cares. The school has some pros and cons like every other educational facility. But they do work to fix them and that's something I appreciate personally. And for the Nikki and her comment below: Nikki I.. honey, find some hobby something to do. I know You may be bored. Angel is a great teacher. I was taking her classes over a year ago. She's my friend on Facebook. Wanna say hi? ‍

HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF STUDENT DEBT…read more Welcome to Graduation season. The time of year when we dress our foremost scholars in medieval religious cloaks and then act surprised when they can't form a straight line. Who thought it was a good idea to put these adults in robes and funny hats?! You know, those square mortarboard hats. At some point back in time did somebody see some bricklayers and say, "That. That's the look we want for our brightest minds?"Hence, on graduation day, we have a group of devout construction workers. Next is the guest speaker, for the big inspo talk. Given by a guy who went here 30 years ago when it cost fifteen dollars. A rando cereal billionaire named Captain Crunch who'll tell you to "follow your dreams." Meanwhile you're thinking, my dream is to get any job to avoid moving back with (no-longer-closeted) Mom. And the tassel. You're in this sacred ceremony, and the big moment is... some fuzzy string switches sides? The Chancellor of Hogwarts will go, "By the power vested in me, you may now... transform." No one knows why we do this. Four+ years of caffeine-fueled memorizing, tens of thousands of dollars, and it's... flip that string over, you're a whole new person now. At the end you get to throw the hat. The first time this happened was at the Naval Academy. They got new officer hats, so didn't need the old janky ones anymore. It makes sense... new jobs, new hats. For the rest of us, don't we need these for a group pic with Grandma? The whole time you've got "Pomp and Circumstance" playing on repeat. Its like the music you'd hear as a king gets crowned, not as Seymour from Slusher Hall waddles across the stage in a wrinkled gown. Anyway, that's graduation in a nutshell. Just a bunch of weird traditions that we've all agreed is how it should be done. And it's kinda beautiful. Pro tip: Congrats to the USD class of 2026. Ceremonies take place May 21-24 2026. The primary venues are: Jenny Craig Pavilion, Founders Chapel and Shiley Theatre. All graduations follow the above format.

The Catholic university is a blend of historic architecture, lush natural surroundings, and a vibrant student atmosphere! It's definitely a peaceful space, with botanical gardens, tree-lined walkways, and beautiful fountains that encourage focus, tranquility and serenity for every student on campus! The campus almost feels like a postcard, featuring 16th-century Plateresque architecture, a style of the Spanish Renaissance- paying homage to both San Diego's Catholic heritage and the Universidad de Alcalá in Spain. Definitely recommend checking this campus out, it's a great place to walk through and enjoy those stunning panoramic views of Mission Bay!

I am highly upset about my time being wasted, especially when j get there and they're closed. I will not be back. I find it very unprofessional. You guys wasted my time. I work Monday -Saturday from 9-5pm I don't have time in the morning to stop by because I take public transportation, I have to leave my house at 8am to get to work by 9. When I spoke to someone at the school a month ago. She told me to come back Dec 4th. To sign up for the spring semester. I asked her what time do they close because I get off work at 5. She said they close at 7. When I got there last night about 5:45pm. They were closed. So I called this morning and spoke to someone and told her what happened. She informed me that they close early on Mondays at 5. And close Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7pm she said I can come by that they'll still be open when I get off work. When I got there tonight, there was a note on the door saying they will be closing at 4:30pm. I got there at 5:45pm. If you guys had an emergency to attend, have another person stay at least for the people that can't make it in the day time. But because of this I will not be back at all. I do not want to attend a school where you guys close early than what's expected. If I can't count on you to be open when you say you are, how in the hell do you expect me to depend on the instructors to teach me. What if I did attend, and I have an issue with an instructor or student at any given moment that you are supposed to be open. I can't talk to anyone then because you guys are closed.

Ms. Anne-Laure, Ms. Jessica, and Ms. Claire have created a truly wonderful place for kids. Ms. Lea, together with Ms. Laure, have put in enormous effort to help our daughter build on her strengths while also supporting areas where she needed improvement. In kindergarten, she received individualized learning tasks and weekly plans tailored to her development. Over the course of a year, she learned to write in both print and cursive, mastered math concepts at a second-grade level, and even learned to read in French--despite not being a native speaker. She now understands French pretty well. What really stands out is the balance between academics and creativity. The children are regularly engaged in arts, crafts, and hands-on activities that encourage imagination and self-expression, so it never feels overly rigid or purely academic. Beyond academics, the growth in her confidence, social skills, and emotional well-being has been incredible. Before attending ACDL, she struggled with going to preschool. Here, she became excited to go every day to see her friends and truly feels like part of a community. We also really appreciate that the school has a garden and that the children spend a lot of time outdoors. The healthy lunches and snacks have been a big plus as well--our daughter, who used to be a very picky eater, has become much more open to trying new foods. The after-school programs are also great. Our daughter attended a science class and absolutely loved it. It was a fun way to introduce her to new concepts while also strengthening her French, since most activities are conducted in the language. Overall, the combination of education, care, creativity, and community has been wonderful for our daughter. We're genuinely sad that she's finishing kindergarten and won't be continuing at ACDL--we will really miss it. If you're looking for a French immersion preschool - or any preschool where your child can thrive - this is truly a special place.
