Dr. Cortes and his entire team are unbeatable. They truly go out of their way (each and every one of them) to make their patients feel comfortable. My 13-year old daughter recently spent a couple of hours in their clinic while having some somewhat major dental work. Prior to this visit, my daughter had been filled with anxiety over seeing a dentist. She would reach the level of hyperventilation if a dentist approached her with anything other than a mirror. This was all due to a traumatic injury she received at the age of 8 and a horrible experience with the treating dentist at the time. Fast-forward to last week and you could hear my child laughing during her procedure. She felt so comfortable she even fell asleep in the chair. Dr. Cortes and all who work with him went above and beyond to make her feel safe and secure (not to mention happy), which made what could have been a disaster into a truly enjoyable dental experience. Yes, I just said the word "enjoyable" and "dental" in the same experience. Trust me, I've never put those two words together - until now. One more thing - when a mistake was made regarding my daughter's medication, a staff member offered to drop off the prescription at CVS for me on her way home. I told you - above and beyond! I have been to see Dr. Cortes a few times now, after switching to him from a previous dentist in NYC (I have had a number of very bad experiences with my previous dentists - and am quite a nervous-dental patient!). I am a nighttime tooth-grinder, and get numerous cavities every year because of soft enamel, so needless to say I have been to quite a few dentists over the years. So, I was thrilled when Dr. Cortes and his entire staff really put me at ease from the minute I walked in - the office staff were very friendly and helpful, my appointment was right on-time, and Dr. Cortes' kind manner definitely made it much 'less scary' than going to the dentist usually is. The office is nice and very clean. They did fantastic dental work on me (I had a crown done), and I am very pleased with the results. They even went above and beyond, and called to check on me at the end of the day to make sure that I was totally satisfied, and that the new dental work was feeling completely natural. Fantastic! I had to find a new dentist in a Short Time of Period because of some urgent pain. So I called Mr. Cortes office and they were able to give me an appointment on the same day. After getting there, they did everything there could to help me right away. No waiting time and amazing staff. After I explained some insurance issue, Doctor Cortes took the time and figured everything with me out, so that I got what I needed. He was patient and very friendly. Even brought me to laugh, what many people can't imagine doing at a denists office. He did everything to comfort me - as well checking in in between if my anesthesia was still alright. Found Dr Cortes in an emergency and the whole experience was incredibly positive from start to finish. They were able to see me within 15minutes notice. He and his staff made me very welcome; they explained everything step by step, they were able to immediately fix the issue in his surgery; they worked with me on my options and explained the implications for costs and had an easy and relatable bedside manner which made the treatment go smoothly and without pain. I am so impressed I am moving my entire family over to his practice and have committed to a plan to get me back on track with regular dental care. Cannot rate him and his team more highly. read more

Doctor Cortes and his whole staff are phenomenal!! I just began going to this office because my current dentist,whom I love, doesn't accept my new insurance. I started my visit with my hygienist Jess. She was wonderful, gentle but not too gentle, very sweet and encouraging, and very very informative! She explained to me while she was cleaning my problem areas and I learned so much! Then I met dr Cortes who re-enforced everything I just learned and made me feel so comfortable! He assured me we could fix my issues one step at a time and get my mouth healthy again. I will absolutely recommend this office to anyone looking! read more

Dr. Cortes and his staff are excellent! I felt very comfortable from the moment that I made my first appointment with Donna. On my very first visit, Dr. Cortes walked me through everything and explained to me exactly where I was currently at and the procedures that would need to get done. Dr. Cortes made me feel at ease when performing oral surgery and is extremely gentle. Jess, the dental hygienist, is awesome. Great dentist with great supporting staff! Dr. Cortes is a terrific Dentist...he has been my family's dentist for a number of years and every time we see him he is great. We have gone through normal series of cleanings, occasional cavity, and implant restoration and every visit was handled professionally but with a real personal touch. The office is modern, comfortable and clean with a truly terrific staff. I HATE THE DENTIST! that said, I have been seeing Dr.Cortes for over one year and I no longer dread visits to the dentist. He is conscientous and gentle and even calls the next day to see if I'm okay! I will not hesitate to recommend him and his staff - front desk, too were so helpful with insurance claims, etc. Two other pluses?? great sense of humor and good music! The best!!! read more
