First impressions are great. The premises appears to be very clean. The staff aren't particularly cheerful or friendly. They obviously don't enjoy their jobs.
The food in general is ok, but the fish is awful. I'm not entirely certain that they sell as advertised. They advertise cod, but the flesh isn't flaky, so I suspect it could actually be the cheaper (but still edible) river cobbler, mainly due to how mushy the flesh is. Everything else is fairly ok. Prices are quite reasonable too.
If you want great fish and chips, I'd personally avoid this one, but if you just want something that is edible and from a hygienic restaurant, this will do the job just fine. read more
