The poor dog was butchered, leaving her hair uneven and her paws looking awful as well. I have pictures to prove this. Her hair was shaved down to her skin in certain areas, as well as a spot above her eye. When we did further inspection, we realized she wasn't even bathed. Her ear was dirty as well as something was still crusted in the fur on her tail. Normally when a dog gets a bath, they smell clean. There was absolutely nothing when smelling her. I called to address my concerns. I was informed by the owner that the person who did the cut, has only been cutting hair for 2 months and the 2 people that supposedly bathed her were in training. She said I could bring Emma back as a teaching moment. So I rescheduled. However, the more I thought about it, the less I wanted her there. She would be there again, all day. When I spoke with the owner again during an appt confirmation, I asked if she could just get the areas fixed that were choppy because I didn't want her there all day and I would bathe her myself. Well that seemed to have angered the owner because she immediately snapped and said she has to be bathed first. She doesn't want a dirty dog ruining her clippers, and saying she's probably muddy and dirty. Firstly, she wasn't clean because she was NEVER bathed at the initial appt. Second, she doesn't run through the mud. Our yard is full of grass and she's taken out on a leash. The owner was rude and unreasonable. I wasn't asking for anything extra, just for the dog to be fixed. Especially since I left a very generous tip to begin with on an awful experience. I cancelled the teachable moment because I wouldn't put Emma through that experience again nor do I want to deal with the rude owner ever again!!!

My boy was not quite as sick as I thought, thank goodness. However, the veterinarian and the entire health center staff were absolutely wonderful. The center was bright and clean, and the staff was professional and kind. They gave me the medicine he needed, suggested a supplement for his teeth, and made us feel very welcome. I will be coming back for the dental cleaning they suggested. Yes, emergency vet care can be expensive. I do not feel like they price gouged me. It was a fair bill and frankly, well worth my peace of mind. My Salem boy has only been with me since March and I worry because I don't know his whole medical history.

This left my dog a paraplegic which resulted in euthanasia. Dr. Starkey failed to disclose the injury just telling me she had to "manhandle" Kaiser and he may be sore. When Kaiser could not stand I told her directly my dog was unable to walk at least twice and upon the third time she tossed me a blanket and said use this as a sling and take him out. This Dr. sent my pet home with a broken back and allowed him to suffer for 5 days until I could get him to a neurologist that verified what had happed. Incident has been reported to the Ohio State Board of Veternarian's for a malpractice complaint. There are many good veterinarians out there, do yourself and your pet a favor and use them.

Over the past 5 years, I have experienced rudeness from the front desk and assistants. The intake lady acted like she didn't even want to touch my 5lbs dog and acted scared of her. Then, the fees are exorbitant and have only gotten more out of hand. You want to charge me $1200-$1600 for a DENTAL CLEANING AND 1 EXTRACTION?! I called multiple other vets to find that service at half the price for my specific dog. Additionally, the newest vet I saw (seems like a revolving door), while very nice, gave her a 2 week injection and a 1 week supply of pain meds for a bad tooth and the front desk proceeded to tell me the only surgeon available is an entire month out. This is in line with their other scheduling, which sometimes means a month wait for a "sick" animal. Finally, the vet tech tried to tell me that my dog needs a rabies vaccine despite having had one in June (and it's on her record). The new vet laughed at that requirement anyway, as it is not needed for a sedated procedure. The worst of it all is that when the new vet called for my dog's records, their only concern was whether she would be keeping her dental appointment in March. Completely unacceptable all around!!

Lisa at the front desk is always amazing when I call because my guy is my third child and I always have questions after his two surgeries he's had. Dr. DeGrande and Dr. Coleman have been awesome as well, keeping my mind at ease, calling with updates and is even going to see my dog tomorrow for a concern after surgery as a courtesy. Sarah, the vet tech, is also great. I appreciate them all there and I have absolutely nothing but fantastic things to say. A great vet office that I'm proud to take my guy to, even though he's been there a little more than I like lol! You will not be dissatisfied with the care there.
