I did very extensive research on photographers in Houston, as that was one of the things I wanted to be perfect. The photos are really all you have left after so many months of planning! What stuck out to me about Abdul's photos were the clean lines and vibrant colors while also capturing the fun and candid moments. After we met in person, I knew he would be a great fit for our wedding. Abdul is laid back yet professional, and he made me feel at ease that he would take good care of us. We chose a wedding package that included an engagement session, full wedding day coverage with two photographers, a 30 page album, and full rights to all our photos - all for a very reasonable price, especially compared to other photographers in town. We took our engagement photos in February at Discovery Green and various locations near downtown. The session was about 2-3 hours, and he never made us feel rushed. Having never done professional photos before, it took my fiancé and I a little while to get into it! He sent us the photos about two weeks later, and I was able to use them to create my own save-the-dates online. They turned out great! I then used the rest of the engagement photos to create a photo guest book for our wedding day. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Abdul and I had a few conversations about what specific photos I wanted and details of the day. He was always very accommodating. The actual wedding day was perfect! He showed up right on time to take our "getting ready" pictures at our hotel and made sure to capture all of the sweet moments with parents and the wedding party. He was completely unobtrusive during our church ceremony and the reception. I hardly even noticed him the whole night. I have been around plenty of wedding photographers and can't stand how pushy and obnoxious some of them can be. Not the case with Abdul. He gave direction when needed, especially during the short 20 minute time period to take pictures after the ceremony, but he was never pushy. Abdul and his second photographer took over 1,000 photos, and they all turned out amazing!! We got our photos about two months after the wedding, and we will be getting our album very soon! We tried everything possible to reason with this man and get our albums but finally have now filed a complaint in virginia. DO hire Mir if you want: 1 - to call, email, text your photographer repeatedly before he ever answers. 2 - to be repeatedly lied to and told your pictures will be ready in 4-6weeks then wait weeks before you are told the same thing again. 3 - him to cancel on your engagement session. 4 - to only have pictures of the bride and groom from the wedding; everyone else will either not be pictured or will have blurry pictures and you will be told THEY were not standing still so its not his fault. 5 - to only have 2-3 pictures with your immediate family at the wedding and even those will not be clear. 6 - him to try to trick you into giving up all your rights to your pictures. 7 - to not ever receive your wedding albums. 8 - to eventually file a complaint in court to get your wedding albums. If you are hiring him for the most memorable day of your life - think twice.
