Amazing service. Always available when needed it. Bob and Bev have been there for us always. They only perform what it really needs to be done.

My beautiful dog Santos was in need of tremendous medical care because of one issue after another. The staff at Eglinton Veterinary Facilities were incredible. They gave my dog exceptional care, handling, and would inform me of everything along the way. They were always available to answer anything and everything about costs, timelines, procedures. Honestly, the exceptional level of professionalism, service, love and care that this clinic gives, is something that all businesses should aspire to. I'm grateful to have found this clinic after trying others. I recommend this place for your loving pet 100%.

Dr. Bateman has worked for a time in Africa with wild animals. My Bengal F-(low number) needs such a vet and I have found her very consciencious and competant.

Blood test taken for heat worm without consent from owner on a yearly vaccine appointment. Also charged on bill.

Extremely disappointed in our recent Covid times visit. I booked my dogs yearly vaccines. Dr. Watson brought up doing bloodwork for heart worm for my 2 year old. I said no. He insisted, I said no two more times. He then took her inside the clinic as you have to stay outside, for what I thought would be just the yearly vaccine. Later when I called in to pay the bill over the phone, I found out that he was charging me for the blood test that I DID NOT CONSENT TO being taken. There was no misunderstanding in that I did not want the blood test as he kept asking and I kept repeating. I am not coming back here. We used to come here all the time since she was a puppy and had all our procedures done when Dr. Hodges was here but she no longer works there and I used to LOVE the clinic. I have no interest in not being taken seriously as a client by the head of the clinic and my dog having blood drawn or any procedure done without an owners consent. This is unethical and bad for business.

Proud patients of Eglinton Veterinary Facilities!

My dog got sick a few days before New Year's at the beginning of this year. It didn't appear too…read moreserious at first, as he was still as loving & cuddly as ever, he just seemed a little slower than normal. On New Year's Eve, he seemed even more tired than usual and was sleeping a lot. He wasn't eating his regular food, but it wasn't until the next day that he seemed in bad shape. My regular vet wasn't open that day, so I called Mount Pleasant-Davisville Hospital the morning of Saturday, January 2nd and they were able to fit me in that afternoon. Unfortunately, due to Covid, I had to wait in the car while he was being examined. The vet called me to discuss his condition and recommended getting some blood work done to see what was wrong. The results would come in on Monday and they were going to call for next steps. The following day, Sunday, my little guy seemed worse for the wear. He wasn't even drinking water at that point. I pondered taking him to the emergency, but I was able to get him to drink a small amount every hour, so I figured I would wait the extra day and go back on Monday if he didn't improve. The next morning, I was up early with my dog but he was just so sluggish. I gave him some water, but he still wouldn't eat anything. I tried boiled chicken with rice, warming up his food with a bit of water, I tried homemade broth; he even refused his favourite treats. I called the hospital as soon as they were open and spoke to the vet. She told me that his blood tests were back and showed extremely high numbers for his liver and kidney; this meant he was in very bad shape. The vet then told me what every pet owner fears: my boy was not going to get better. She said they could put him on IV treatment in the hospital but at his age (14.5 years), there was no guarantee he would make it through the next couple of days and that I should probably consider having him euthanized. Her words hit me like a tidal wave. I was in shock. I started sobbing on the phone and I could barely speak. She was very patient with me and started discussing options. Because he hadn't eaten in a couple of days and wasn't drinking on his own at that point, the kindest decision for him was to say goodbye that same day. I couldn't bear the thought of him being in pain, or worse, having him hooked up to an IV and then passing alone without me there to comfort him. I always promised him I would never prolong his suffering just because I wasn't ready. I realize now, looking back, that I would probably never be ready. I had to do what was best for him, no matter how much it was going to hurt me. When I arrived at the hospital, they ushered me in to a small room. They had his name written on what I think was a paw print chalkboard on the door. The room was quiet, dim and comfortable. They had a bed and a blanket ready for him, but I wanted to hold him in my arms for as long as possible. They accommodated me and made everything as easy & comfortable as possible, explaining every detail very calmly, while I cried. I asked questions and the vet answered and showed me the test results I had asked about. It certainly did seem that this was the best decision for my little Oscar. When it was over, I was allowed to stay with him for as long as I wanted. Oh, what heartache I felt, looking down at him - still reeling from how quickly it all happened. I'll admit, even now, it's surreal that he isn't here with me. As I write this now, almost a whole year later, the tears are streaming down my face. Tears of sadness for my loss, mixed with a few tears of happiness remembering all the years of joy that Oscar brought to my life, as well as tears of gratitude for the vet and the staff who made the whole process as gentle and kind as it could possibly be. About a week after the appointment, I received a beautiful, hand-written card from Dr. Keeley, expressing her condolences on my loss. I hadn't even received a card from anyone in my family, so this gesture was really appreciated. It took a few weeks for his ashes to be returned, but that process was also handled with care. Special thanks to Liz who was really lovely to talk to and so supportive. Although the outcome of my first visit to this hospital was horrible, I really am grateful for the compassion and care that Dr. Keeley and her team showed me and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good vet.

However, Tara, the receptionist, is the rudest most entitled person I've ever encountered. She has NO manners and clearly lacks education, she was literally yelling at me in front of her co-workers. Please invest in sending her to Customer Service Training cause she seriously thinks she owns the place, oh wait no, a business owner would NEVER display that kind of erratic behavior towards a customer. Anyway, after today's horrible experience we won't be coming back (even though I paid $100 in advance for a fecal exam) I rather lose that $ and take my dog somewhere else.

They've changed their membership price to $49 which includes 24/7 virtual care which can be extremely useful. However, I was not notified of this change. I was expecting my annual check up to be included and found out it was an additional $129. That's a significant increase and even more so when there was no email to explain the changeover. A little sus to be honest. In this case, I was able to cancel my appointment without penalty. I've paid my annual fee so I'll have access to virtual care. However, I do not plan on renewing nor will I (my dog) be returning as a patient I know Juno prides themselves when it comes to price transparency. Unfortunately, this did not happen with the membership charges. I'll still give them 3 stars for the ease of transferring medical records, the non-judgmental conversations, and the friendly staff.

They truly put each animal's welfare and happiness first. A few weeks ago Dr. Weintrop spotted a mass underneath one of our dog's eye lids. She took several pictures of the mass and immediately sent them to a specialist. The specialist advised us that the mass should be removed and he has since operated on our dog. Our dog is now recovering nicely. If Dr. Weintrop had not found the mass it would probably have grown larger and needed reconstructive surgery. Thankfully Dr. Weintrop found the mass very early. Dr. Weinthrop always demonstrates an amazing array of knowledge and skill, undivided attention to every detail, infinite commitment, compassion, devotion, gentleness and love to our dog every time he visits her. On a personal side you could not find a more genuinely compassionate and caring wonderful human being. Our dog and family love her! The following are a few examples of some of the other amazing people who work at Leaside Animal Clinic and their acts of kindness. A few days ago the specialist wanted to see follow up routine photos of our dog's eye lid (as we didn't have an appointment with him until the following week). I was too squeamish to take the pictures myself so I saw Dr. Rutchanka as Dr. Weintrop wasn't working that day. She tenderly held our dog's eye lid while Alicia skillfully took pictures. Dr. Rutchanka then gently cleaned up the area around both of my dog's eyes. Even though we took Dr.Rutchanka and Alicia's time we were not charged for the visit. Our dog is injected with a needle every two weeks and 2 needles every four weeks. He has had the wonderful care of all of the technicians at one time or other. Each and every one of them has gently knelt on the floor while petting our dog to get him comfortable in preparation for his needle(s) and then skillfully injected our dog while talking lovingly to him. We have taken our present dog to Leaside Animal Clinic in an emergency situation twice. Both times our dog was seen and treated right away. Every staff member possesses compassion, dedication and demonstrates great kindness and patience to all the animals in their care which I see evidence of every time I visit Leaside Animal Clinic. First of all, if you try to book appointment online, it would NOT work, because it's for new patient only. Then their staff will call you to change the appointment time, and you would receieve an email titled 'Appointment CONFIRMATION'. HOWEVER, they will call you ONCE on the day prior to the appointment. If you accidentally missed the call and don't have a habbit of checking your voice mail everyday, they will CANCEL your appointment WITHOUT other notice. I would just like to know why can't they at least notify the customer about the UNREASONABLE CANCELLATION, even when they have the phone number and email. They did not say anything about this ONE CALL OR CANCELLATION WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE policy in the email or on the original phone call for booking appointment. They did NOT even have the courtesy to call/text/email about cancellation!!! I have a cat who is scared of going out, and she panted and shook the whole way for no good reason today. I think most pets would not enjoy going to the hospital, and I guess this hospital just enjoys letting pets suffer. I will try to re-post this review every month, so that new customers can see this.

The place is completely clean and spotless. The staff that work behind the desk are very helpful and kind. Every time I walk in, they always call me "Mittens' Mom". Even if I am running in to grab more cat food and Mittens is busy sleeping at home, they still remember me. The vets are amazing. Very thorough and explain everything. You do not feel intimidated at all. What I really like is that when you go in to see the vet, they have a tech in there as well. They are very patient, talk to the animal and have the kindest touch. As Mittens has a very overactive thyorid, we have been in the vet's office a few times. If I am taking him in just to have his blood tested, I can do so any Saturday between 1 & 2 pm and a tech will come take him and bring him back peaceful and calm. You can also request to have your pet's nails trimmed, and they will do so for free. The previous vet I took Mittens too, they would SHAVE him to withdraw blood and were wwaayy too rough with him. The Usher Animal Hospital is pricey (as most vets are), but the way they treat Mittens, and their level of customer service, it is worth every penny.
