I appreciate that they do not force an opinion on me and allow me to ask questions to find my way. The sermons speak to me every week. They are very relatable to my life (with humor to them too) and are very educational. I never thought I'd be so eager to learn and actually read the Bible. The Pastor is amazing. He is compassionate and truly wants to know his congregation. I question so many things and he so patient with me. I have helped with the food pantry to provide a copious amount of food for those in the community who need it and I have taken one of the many courses they offer. I was proud to be apart of an event called Bless the Block last week. The purpose was to serve the community and I was in awe that we paid for people's coffees and pizzas at two local businesses. These are just a few of the many services that the church provides. I love being a member of this church. I have been attending regularly since last April. I was struggling badly and am so grateful for my friend who invited me. It was at the most perfect time and I now have hope again. God is good.

We were easily able to transfer certified papers from our church in Patchogue. The day of the baptism, we felt truly welcome, despite this not being our local church. Everyone greeted us and congratulated us on being godparents. We arrived early and this woman sitting in the first pew invited us to sit closer to her. ( how thoughtful, am I right?)the father announced Grayson's baptism to everyone, and we continued the ceremony with lots of cheers and blessings One of the men organizing mass even asked my boyfriend and I to bring up the sacramental wine during communion. B4 even talked about you know 2 fix renovate damage... which back then which was either late 1984 early 90's David usually run out and ask people to donate do stuff. My younger sister got a coffee can and will put her allowance any change you found and actually got people to donate money and she offered it to the church. Even though we grew up in East Islip went to St Mary's Church in Saint Mary's School.... then all girls Catholic High School the Academy of Saint Joseph. All religious institutions regardless of the religion are beautiful structures. It's always best to restore them to the original beauty the best you can. I love antiques of everything whether it's architecture, meaning houses buildings, landmarks to artwork furniture. I've been there before and after and the after was phenomenal.
