I was really looking forward to this exam since it's a work perk and advertised as comprehensive. Unfortunately, it felt like a complete waste of time. I wish someone had clearly explained what the appointment actually entails, so I will. You change into scrubs upon arrival and I was seen quickly by a nurse who did an EKG, hearing test, urinalysis, measured height/weight, and did a blood draw. Throughout the process, there was little explanation of what was happening even when I asked. During the hearing test, the door was left open and there were loud noises in the hallway, which likely skewed the results. I also fasted beforehand (as I've been instructed to do for every other blood test in my life except this one) for my afternoon appointment and asked to be notified when I was good to eat my granola bar - she never let me know. After that, I waited about an hour to see the doctor. She reviewed lifestyle habits (exercise, diet, sleep, anxiety, social habits), but much of the advice felt generic. She also strongly pushed veganism/vegetarianism, which was very off-putting to me. The physical exam included a breast exam and a very brief dermatology check (under a minute), and she noted she wasn't a dermatologist and recommended seeing one annually anyway (???). I learned that vitamin and mineral testing isn't included in the blood test unless specifically requested despite the "comprehensive" branding. I also asked about a DEXA scan (advertised on their website) but was told I wasn't eligible. I finished my appointment by receiving a tetanus shot, which I was due for. My test results with generic comments from the doctor came back within a few days. The facilities were clean and spacious and there's an illusion of being a luxurious experience, but overall this felt far less thorough than advertised. For me, this is a one-and-done and I'd rather stick with my primary care doctor and specialists for annual exams. read more

Great experience and probably one of the most comprehensive health exams ever. You get a lot of time with the doctor to ask any questions. They include a vision and hearing test, they can also do a Pap smear for women and a mammogram if you want. The office is very clean, the nurses are extremely helpful and there is no wait time. read more

Once you walk in they check you in right way and gives you a new mask to change into. Next the nurse takes you to the locker room to change into the top and bottom they provide as well as some yellow socks ( you will be walking everywhere in these socks) Once you are done they do all the tests, the nurse and the doctor was very nice and they tell you what they are doing and why. Overall I really like the cleanliness of this office, there were also close to no wait time. The atmosphere is very relaxing as well. In addition they sent you a free gift Amazon gift card and kindle for doing your yearly physical. read more

You change into a robe in a very nice changing area. The waiting area has up to date magazines and some snacks etc. very comfortable seating. They take their time through the whole process. A very inefficient, impersonal place to get your annual health screening. The number of frivolous / unnecessary tests is staggering. They took over 3 weeks to provide me the feedback to my screening results, and the doctor basically just wrote a summary of our conversation in the advice. EHE charge over $1,300 to your health insurance, and will be perfectly happy to set up your appointment, but don't expect any after-care or follow up from member services, they just want your money. read more

I have only availed of this perk once and am very impressed. These guys provide a complete physical check-up in a plush setting that is right by the NBC studios in Rockefeller. When you walk in you are given one of those loose fitting gowns (for keeps if you wish!) and they even have a breakfast layout. The examination is very thorough, and you are assigned a personal physician who sends you a detailed report within a few days of your check-up. If you have any problems at all, trust these guys to find it. I believe the exam itself runs about $1,500--I am happy not to be paying for it myself. read more

I went for the exam in August. It is October now, and I called 3 times for a review of my results with no return call. EHE also says they offer referrals, but when I requested 2, I didn't receive any. In my opinion this practice is a scam. They bill my employer, get all my personal health information, then completely ignore me and I get zero service. My employer may offer this to me as a "free" benefit, but I will never waste my time with this program again. read more

I haven't gone to see the doctor in six years. If no one tells me anything is wrong, it can't hurt me, right? Well, after years of throwing away money on unused medical insurance, I booked a 7:30 am appointment for the tri-annual physical that is covered under my health plan. After hearing from guys who had gone before and having had a pretty good experience, I thought why not. The clinic is set up on Rockefeller Center. Since I had a super early appointment, I saw the Good Morning America show filming in the plaza while walking through the entrance way. I was able to constrain myself from jumping up and down behind Matt Lauer and yelling "Hi mom!". The receptionist checked me in and ushered me to the men's locker room where a blue smock, brown socks (the kind with the white grips painted on the sole), and a Crabtree & Evelyn terry cloth robe awaited me. The waiting area is something else. Great lounge chairs, big screen tvs, and a nice breakfast spread. I can only imagine what lunch is like; I've heard rumors of sushi. I've never had a more thorough physical ever. Blood tests, hearing testings, vision tests, urine, EKG, BMI, height, weight,.. I'm missing stuff here. After the nurses complete the exams, the doctor reviews the results with you, conducts a few more exams, and makes recommendations to better your health as well as inquiring about your general well-being. It was somehow very comforting. A full detailed report is mailed to you as well as archived on your private account online. They make specific recommendations and offer any necessary follow up exams as part of the package. I won't be able to go again for three years, but boy what an experience! It behooves you to go make an appointment, if you are able to. I was surprised at some of my results and you may find the exam enlightening as well. read more

This is the most cushy physical exam I have ever had. The place works like a well-oiled machine. You arrive at reception and they direct you straight to the locker room where you change into scrubs and socks. The locker room is quite spa like - with private changing areas and hairdryers and contact lense fluid and pretty soaps and bathrobes and hand lotion etc etc. I'm not sure why you might need all of this after a medical exam, but its the thought that counts. The staff are friendly and professional and immediately sit you down and take you through what could otherwise be an overwhelming process. I mean, who really wants to be poked and prodded with needles, weighed, measure, hooked up to sensors, made to pee in a cup ... well, you understand, I'm sure! You then get to relax in the waiting room, in comfy leather sofas, with tv's and your plenty of reading material (FT, WSJ, NYT). The nurses summon you to the different rooms for testing. They cleverly get all the blood tests out of the way first, so that you can go back and have breakfast before you faint. Breakfast is good - healthy options like fruit salad, muffins, yoghurt, granola bars, a selection of cereals, nuts and fruit. And a selection of teas. Lunch looked like sushi and wraps - I was full by then! It almost made the needles worthwhile (ok...probably not). The whole testing process and consultation with doctor took about 3 hours. Which seems a long time - but it was very comprehensive and the surroundings meant it wasn't too much of a hardship. Mostly, though, the staff really go out of the way to make the experience as pleasant as possible and I felt they gave great service. read more

Honestly, I haven't had a complete physical work up since I was in high school. The idea of physicals gave me such anxiety- If i was unwell, surely i would know right? So i avoided. Fast forward to present day when I received the invitation from EHE in the mail. My boss just had her physical and told me it was a great experience so i went for it. I made the appointment over the phone and opted for the first appointment of the day: 7:15AM. Upon check-in, you get a key to a locker room where you change into scrubs and head into a comfy waiting area. We're talking plush arm chairs, tvs and reading material. This is also the area where they have food for after your blood work. My anxiety was through the roof but once i sat down, i felt so at peace and relaxed. You begin with Weight and Height Check, BMI, EKG and fat check. After that you complete your blood work and provide a urine sample. Once your labs are complete, you help yourself to their healthy assortment of eats. For breakfast there was oatmeal, bagels, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, nuts, granola, coffee, tea and juice. After your meal, you do your eye exam, Lung capacity, glaucoma test, and hearing test. Finally, you meet with a physician and go over family history as well as a quick check of blood pressure and other basic checks. You can have your results mailed to you or emailed. So long as you get your complete physical, you are allowed to use their medical services for the year at no additional cost. This includes vaccinations for when you need to leave the country or if you are not feeling well. Its all included. There is even an fully stocked bathroom with anything you may need from deodorant, lotions, hair dryers, flat irons, tampons- you name it- its there! This place had me leave feeling relaxed - by far the best physical examination i have ever had. i just booked an appointment for my husband! If your company offers this amazing perk- you MUST take advantage. What a great experience. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. I completed a health exam weeks ago and have been unable to get my results from either the doctor's office who completed the exam or EHE. I have contacted EHE multiple times, left messages, been on hold until kicked to voicemail, and never received a response. I still have not received the results of my health exam. I do not recommend anyone to use this company given the completely unresponsive customer service. read more

If your company offers you this medical benefit, I highly recommend you do it. As the other reviews say, the way you are treated is very professional, the lounge area where you wait between tests is plush, and the food is pretty good. There is no sushi, at least not when I went, but the salads and sandwiches were good. The testing is very comprehensive and the consultation with the Doctor is very professional and clearly care is taken to make you feel comfortable. read more

I was lucky enough to get EHE preventative health through my company and let me tell you, it's the best preventative health measure I have taken. The Rockefeller center EHE takes place on the 4th floor which is very quiet and clean. The team greets you at the reception desk and then you go to the woman's or man's locker room to put your things away in a locker and you change into EHE scrubs and socks (I didn't know you take your shoes off the first time so FYI ). Then you go through all of your testing: urine, blood, ECG, height/weight/body fat index, hearing, eye exam, to then finally meet with a health care physician/doctors. In between each step you have the opportunity to be in the waiting area which is very spacious and serves amazingly fresh and healthy food options as well as juices, waters, and caffeinated drinks. The doctors at this location are amazing, especially Dr. Kaul who is a lovely soul that is super informative and so helpful with all of your questions. I think they have gone downhill over the past couple of years (I believe there was an ownership change at some point as well). I had an exam over a week ago and called to find out why the results were not available (in the past it has always been within a few days). The EHE rep on the phone said it now takes up to 15 business days to post results so I needed to wait until that time if I do not see the results. They were nice but wow, that is way out of bounds for any physical I have ever had. Also, when I went into get my exam, there was an argument with one of the patients going on at the time in the waiting room that could have been handled better. The doctor and medical staff were friendly/professional so probably still worth it if your employer pays, but I expect much better for the cost. read more
