Thank you for resolving this misunderstanding with me. Becareful! When I called to see if they accepted my dental insurance they informed me that they did, so I made the appointment. It was only after the appointment, only after I asked more questions did they tell me that they were out of network for my insurance. So now I have a dental bill to pay which would have been covered my my insurance had they informed me that they were out of network when I asked. read more

I have visited Dr. Ehni's office on two occasions in the past six months. Considering all the other dental/medical appointments that I have had, life-long, Dr. Ehni is the only one I ever looked forward to seeing again. Her integrity, her professional manner, and "her ability to see beyond the patient and realize that a real person is sitting there" is way beyond that of any medical person I have ever met. I will not say that I look forward to my next cavity or tooth problem, but I will say that she and her assistant, Melissa, give the dark cloud of having to break my rhythm of living to have someone work on my teeth, a strong silver lining. What can I say - I wish I could give negative stars for the first time. I have a positive outlook, and try to give "professional" practices the benefit of the doubt, but how I was treated by Dr. Ehnis office was just too much. I dont want anyone to make the mistake I did of trusting the people in this office. The staff lied to me twice by assuring me that my insurance would be covered after I presented them with my information. They upsold me on xrays, also assuring me that my insurance would cover them. I later found out they weren't even in network (they are a premiere provider, not a regular one like they told me). I even mentioned to Dr. Ehni and her assistant that I was trying to save money to visit my father who recently had a heart attack, which meant nothing to them. They also know I am struggling to save money to get my wisdom teeth removed, and still provided false information. They sent me a pamphlet about what insurance covers after I inquired about the statement I received (not a bill) from my insurance company several weeks later, as though that would suffice for giving me incorrect information during or prior to my visit. This pamphlet was nowhere to be found during my visit!They refused to even call the insurance company on my behalf (I called the insurance company several times) to try to work something out. This pamphlet was nowhere to be found during my visit! I didnt receive a bill from Dr. Ehni's office until I got one stating an outstanding balance of almost $300, which is outrageous for a very routine cleaning and exam, was about to be sent to collections! As the office knows, I am a young adult thats working very hard to establish myself on a career based on helping others and move into a town thats somewhat expensive to start off in. They have specials for clients who refer new patients, which, in retrospect, seems like they may have difficulty getting new clients. It also says that they really do not care about the a hard-working young adult trying to survive and do the right things, as they did nothing to help me after either lying to me or unknowingly (but confidently) providing incorrect information in the form of a discount. Early on, I also mentioned that if we could work something out with price I would consider cancelling my dental insurance and continuing to visit them, but they were too greedy for that. I guess they only have room for clients that are wealthy. Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of this office unless you have lots of money to throw away on mediocre dental services and terrible customer service. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Ehni for over twenty years. It has always been a good investment of time and money. She and her staff are always upfront in my treatment plan. The staff are courteous, polite and helpful. I have referred many friends to her practice. read more

When we moved to Pagosa several years ago, we were very fortunate that a friend recommended Dr. Ehni; she and her staff have taken care of my family ever since. She has fixed broken teeth, fitted crowns on weak teeth, and repaired several fillings. I especially appreciate her familiarity with our specific dental needs; when I see her, she's obviously carefully reviewed my chart before I arrived. I've seen some dentists who always seem in a hurry, but Dr. Ehni allows plenty of time to do a procedure and address any concerns I might have; she isn't rushed, and she clearly describes exactly what she is doing and why. When she recommends a procedure, she also gives me other options, explaining their costs and benefits and educating me about my teeth. I have come to trust her advice completely, and her work often exceeds my expectations. Even when I'm in her office for a mere cleaning, Dr. Ehni often comes in to say hello and examine a problem tooth to guage its progress. I especially appreciate that Dr. Ehni and her staff give us such good service and make us feel welcome and comfortable. I no longer dread going to the dentist, and even my 11-year-old daughter is happy to go. I highly recommend Dr. Ehni for many reasons, but especially for her talented, compassionate care. read more
