Don't know the reason for all of the hate on here for these people. I had a yellow jacket issue and they had someone come out and take care of it. He did a very fine job and within a very short time I had no problems at all with yellow jackets. They are good with customer service and the price is fair, what is not to love? read more

Made an appointment with them to exterminate three yellow jacket nests. I was given an appointment for the tech show up between 8am and 12pm. I had asked for a morning appointment because I work afternoons. Due to the tech not showing up within the allotted time, I had to move on. For businesses who rely on customers...you are better off to over communicate with your customer than not communicate at all! Please don't waste your customers time! read more

Our company uses Ehrlich for building pest control. They arrive once a month for review of the building and apply whatever is necessary to keep it pest free. We rarely see bugs and rodents have never been a problem since we began their service. They are professional and address any and all complaints that we express upon their arrival. We are completely satisfied and have no intentions of moving our service at this time. read more

Used to be a good company with great service and reps. In the past 9 months they have only shown up once, unannounced when no one was home. Called to complain but no success. Last week they finally sent an appointment card for today - anytime between 8.00 - 5.00! So arranged to be in all day. No one turned up. They never missed taking payments from me. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They are terrible. read more

We just started with them at the end of August when we bought our house. The previous owner used them for many years for termite inspection. We took over that contract and added their 365 pest package. The gentleman that came out was very friendly and efficient. I like that they come every so many months without me calling them. read more

Made an appointment for an inspection and took a 1/2 day off work. No one showed and after numerous phone calls was told there was a mix up in the schedule, admitted it was their mistake. Said they would have someone call me. Waited 1-1/2 hours, no call back. After more phone calls asking to speak to a manager and being place on hold numerous times I was finally connected to a manager who offered to send someone out who could not do the inspection nor provide an estimate. No concern that I took off work. It was only 4:30 PM and there was no offer to have someone come and do the inspection today. Very poor customer service, will be scheduling with a different exterminator. read more

I paid Ehrlich almost $400 and they failed to get rid of the mice. For $400 they placed a bunch of snap and glue traps that I could have bought myself for $20 at Home Depot, and they stuffed steel wool in some holes in inside walls. But they did not seal up any holes from the outside, which is the main way to prevent a mouse infestation from growing. I still have mice, and they have not responded to my emails asking them for better treatment. Please don't risk your hard-earned money because they will not do the job and they will not care. read more

My sister made appointment for second treatment for my mom's home. She confirmed the appointment ... I canceled my appointments and took off work for the day, drove an hour and a half to be there...guy no showed. Was to be there between 3-5 pm. Called his cell at 7 pm and left message asking for call back... it's been 2 days... nothing. I know I called the right cell number because his voicemail greeting identified him as a senior technician. Not impressed. read more

I too have used Ehrlich for years. Never again. They changed my appointments by email as well with little notice. Then they didn't show up for the appointment even though I took off work to be there. I rescheduled for a Saturday and they did come. Four days later they call me at work stating they were at my door for an appointment and they were mad I wasn't there. Terrible communication, inconsistent service and yes when you call the rep does lie right to your face. Definitiely will not use again. read more

I have used Ehrlich for years on contracts for a variety of critter and bug issues and have been reasonably happy. But...... they changed their system or something recently and randomly changed my quarterly appointment without notification. I noticed the discrepancy the week prior when a reminder email showed up. I called and asked why my 7am first call on a Thursday had been moved to Wednesday sometime between 9-5 without notice and I was told my tech had a busy day on Thursday with a big termite job. I told them this is bad practice and we rescheduled to a convenient time. Now here is the kicker. The day of the appointment a brand new tech shows up. I thought perhaps my regular tech was sick or out but no - Ehrlich had reassigned the territory and he is my new permanent tech. Talk about bad bad bad communication. I generally like the techs and this new one seems fine but honestly why didn't you communicate your change in process? Either by email or certainly when I called. The rep actually lied to me when I called and questioned the random change to my appointment. Or he had no idea about the reorg either. This is when companies lose customers. read more

I was in a predicament, as we were leaving for vacation, and my husband noticed hornets chewing through the bathroom ceiling. I called Ehrlich and they sent someone out within 2 hours. The gentleman was very professional and did a thorough job exterminating our entire home and surrounding area. They really helped me out when I was in a jam and eradicated all stinging insects from all areas of the house, porches, and pool. Thanks for giving me a piece of mind. read more

History

Established in 1928.

Ehrlich Pest Control was founded in 1928 in Reading, PA by Julius C. Ehrlich. Mr. Ehrlich was a salesman who sold insecticides and fogging equipment. At this time, pest control was very much a do-it-yourself venture. When one of his customers, a department store, had no one who could apply the materials, Mr. Ehrlich offered to do it for them. With that gesture in 1928, Mr. Ehrlich established his new service company using the principles that still guide Ehrlich today: initiative, ingenuity and exceed customer expectations. In these early days, the service team consisted of Mr. Ehrlich, his wife and daughter, who placed rat bait in small pieces of bread. From these humble beginnings, Ehrlich has grown to over 100 local offices serving the Eastern U.S., including PA, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and the District of Columbia.

At that time I did not know it would cause any issue, until I ran my AC. I heard a noise which was never there before the cleaning. I called the owner and explained to him I hear a noise while running my AC. He refused to listen and troubleshoot. I had to call someone to do a diagnostic check on my AC and it was identified that the line set needed to adjusted back to its position. Once adjusted the noise was gone. Superior Air Duct Cleaning caused me unnecessary cost to get something fixed that they caused. Bad business model. Don't hire these people. They will not take responsibility of any post service complaints.

It took him about 20 minutes and he was in and out. I paid via cc and I forgot to ask for a receipt, so I sent an email to request the paid invoice. To my surprise, they sent the digital receipt almost instantly. Wasn't expecting it that quick, but they were on top of it. The communication was clear, the work was good and they were very responsive. Two thumbs up!

We have been using JC Erlich for a few years after first discovering a mouse problem when we moved in. Since that time, we have relied on Erlich for numerous pest issues, including stink bugs and ant issues. The maintenance plan is reasonably priced. What really makes this service worth the full 5 stars is the service! Each visit is serviced by the same technician. Jim G is our technician, and is truly knowledgeable about any issue that comes up. He is extremely friendly, respectful, and caring. While I'd prefer to not need the service or to find a non-pesticide solution, the service and success of the program has minimized my aversion to the use of pesticides. read more

I used JC Erlich at my first house when we found carpenter ants in the garage. They did a fantastic job eliminating that problem, so we decided sign up for the maintenance plan. I couldn't have been happier with the Service we have received. Jim G has been our technician since day 1, when bought our new house nearby I made sure when Erlich moved my contract over that Jim was still going to be our guy. I have Herb R and Dale B that have come to my house for various pest control containment reasons and they are amazing. They are so friendly and always able to come in a quick turn around time. I have never had an issue with anything ever since Ehrlich has sprayed or treated my property. They are also very dependable and always show up at the assigned time that you need them and I don't have one bad thing to say about the techs or the company. We have had ant issues in our building due to all the rain. Every time I call, someone is here within the next couple days. Someone suggested they treat outside and the technician took the time to explain the difference between the ants outside and the ants we were having problems with and how it was just an added expense and wouldn't solve the issue.
