What is there to say about the Eiffel Tower? It's a must do in Paris. We were lucky enough to get a hotel near it so we got to admire it from afar many times throughout our nights in Paris, and see it both in daylight and light up and shimmering in the evening. As for visiting, 100% reserve beforehand. When we went, the top was closed to walk-ins with a 1.5 hour wait. We arrived early for our slot and queued up. Once we got on the lifts, It was a pretty efficient system, with folks exiting the elevators from one side and entering from another, so it goes quickly. It takes about 80 seconds or so to reach the top I think. It's so crazy to think that the tower was only supposed to stay up for about 20 years after the worlds fair, and that the structure we most associate with Paris has been around about 150 years compared to the city's long history. The view from the top is fantastic, especially at night. It's easy to spot city landmarks. And overall they do a good job at limiting visitors so that it never feels overwhelmingly busy. As with any major tourist attraction in Paris, there are hawkers galore outside, and you need to be careful with your possessions. And, the food/drinks/souvenirs are pricey. But skip all of that, and this is still a five star experience, and a must for visiting the city.
Really what can I say? This is a world famous monument and it was breathtaking to see in person. Absolutely beautiful. We spent several hours here, taking pictures, enjoying the views, drinking champagne, buying souvenirs, eating French fries... I mean. It's the Eiffel Tower and the history is so amazing. Buy tickets in advance or purchase a tour like we did, go all the way to the top and pour it up. It's something everyone should experience at least once in life!
First opened in 1889 as part of the World's Fair, the Eiffel Tower has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At 1083 ft., it is the tallest structure in Paris. It is also the world's most visited monument that charges a fee, and definitely one of the most recognized. We opted not to purchase tickets to into the tower, so our time was spent strolling the surrounding perimeter. We hope to return sometime in the future during a less busy time of year. There is a semi-grassy area for picnics; though the grass appeared more brown than green during our visit. But there were still families with children at play there. More than any other tourist draw during our Paris stay, this area, by far, attracted numerous scammers like the classic guess where the ball is under the 3 cups? Individuals asking if you speak English then trying to get you to sign a fake petition. Don't sign anything, they will then most likely harass you to contribute to a bogus charity. Plus there are the numerous unlicensed hawkers, trying to sell their cheap souvenirs, spread out on sheets; only to swiftly snatch them all back up again as they make a mad dash from the police when spotted. Then laying out their merchandise again only minutes later. I wouldn't recommend purchasing any of these inferior goods. But there are also professional photographers for hire, should you like a great shot with the iconic monument as a backdrop. And as we sat and took it all in, if all else weren't enough, then came the heavily armed French military in full fatigues, making their rounds. We counted 3 on patrol together, helping to reassure the safety of the large crowds of tourists and locals. I would also caution that there are always quite an abundance of pickpockets peppered throughout the masses that gather here as well. All told, an enjoyable and enlightening experience our couple of hours spent here.
This was a must do during my few days in Paris! I ordered my ticket to the top months in advance. Got there early, you have to go through security to even enter the area. I shopped for some souvenirs before my tour, some very cute items.. magnets, keychains cards. You go through a second security checkpoint before entering the first elevator. Great views up. Great viewing from the 2nd floor. Another elevator takes you to the top! Windy but amazing views. Champagne available for toasting. So many great picture opportunities. A must do!!
Paris is synonymous with fashion in the minds of many, and while I don't recall ever hearing the Eiffel Tower described within that context, I think that she rightly belongs within that conversation. I doubt that you could ever be cheated by the time of day when glancing at her, but I much preferred the opportunity to gaze upon her countenance at night. Her dazzling lights are draped upon her like a flattering evening gown and she elevates her visage even further at the top of each hour. It is then that she sparkles to reflect the light around her like the sequins on her dress. Terrific views of the tower are available from any location in its vicinity and even if you travel only to its ground level the trek will be well worth your time. You should also know that you can access the base of the tower for free (and without tickets) once you have cleared security. If you'd like to elevate your experience by ascending the tower, acquiring tickets in advance is highly recommended. No matter the level you choose to experience, the 360 degree views are just as spectacular as you'd imagine. There is a spotlight that circles the neighboring skyline and I couldn't help but be reminded of the Batman signal. While the elevator system will address your needs of ascension, it is helpful if you're able to utilize a few of the staircases. If walking here seems a bit out of range, the Reseau Express Regional (RER) trains have a convenient stop very near the base of the tower. The security protocols here are serious, so be sure to budget extra time to clear them. And that's...Henry's Take. #eiffeltower
Bonsoir de Tour Eiffel! The Eiffel Tower is very beautiful and worth coming to Paris to take some memorable pictures, both day time & nighttime you can capture quality flicks. You'll find that there are always a bunch of people gathering in different alley ways, across the Seine river, just taking pictures... I LOVE IT! My favorite location that I have found to take pictures is the Pont de Bir-Hakeim bridge which crosses the Seine, where the La France Renaissante monument is also located. Now, if you cross over to Jardins du Trocadéro, you are able to get a breathtaking view of the other side of the Eiffel. Currently, the 5 Olympic rings are mounted on this side of the Eiffel & light up at night! Definitely a must-see landmark and super iconic for picture taking :)
Yay! I'm in Paris! First off Eiffel Tower, you looking small from a distance. You looking tiny, like a little object on a hill. But the closer I get, the bigger you are. So beautiful. We are a party of 5, we scheduled a tour and lunch of the tower. Paris looks Amazing from you. I can see everything. We enjoyed lunch at Madame Brasserie, right inside the Eiffel Tower, simply wonderful. I'm so fascinated by your look, your crowd, my presence here, I just love it. It's a definite bucket list. I want to come back.
The Eiffel Tower is pretty much visible from all angles if you're within a mile of the structure. It's a pretty amazing site to see, we didn't do any of the paid attractions at the tower instead we had dinner at one of the many nearby restaurants where you're close enough to get some background photos. Day and nighttime area great for viewing the tower, at night starting at 9pm, every hour at the top of the hour there's a 5 minutes flashing light show. Around the park of the tower you can walk around, there will be people trying to see little mini tower displays, and even guys with buckets of wine & beer (I have no idea if they're even legally allowed to sell that) there's also people out there with balloon and light props to do little photo shoots.
Amazing and beautiful experience! I've always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower. For me it was a dream come true. It's everything I've ever imagined of how it would be. People might say it's cliche but to each "their" own right?!? I think if you love to travel and explore the Eiffel Tower is a must see. There's so much history and so much to learn of how it became. I challenge you to come see when/if you get a chance. It's a beautiful sight to see. I can't take enough pictures of it from any and every angle she looks good. Pros: You can take pictures from the outside but get the full experience by purchasing a ticket. It doesn't cost that much. Enjoy the view from the top, eat at the restaurant, and take as much photos as you can. I recommend a guided tour, totally worth it. And you won't get lost :). Most staff speak English. Cons: Can have very long lines. It's very crowded. People will cut in line. Food at the restaurant is pricey.
There's not much else to say about the Eiffel Tower except to go and visit it. Only need to do it once, but it's priceless. Get yourself a ticket with the elevator all the way up to the top. It's worth the money. The tickets open up about a month in advance. Unless you really know what you're doing 6 months in advance, all you need to do is book 30 days in advance. Much easier to book in advance than trying to buy the day of. We spent somewhere around an hour or so in the Tower. There isn't as much to do in the Gardens now because they're still cleaning up a bit after the Olympics.
The Eiffel Tower is one of the world's most iconic structures and something you see in the media pretty much your entire life. This was my first time visiting France so obviously we found some time to go and see the Eiffel Tower. I assumed I would look at it and go "oh, cool" and then move on quickly, but that thing is absolutely stunning at night. We approached the tower around 10PM and decided to just wander around the park area until the light show happened roughly an hour later. I 100% get the need to see this thing in person because it truly is a remarkable thing to gaze up at as it sparkles in the night sky. Overall, the Eiffel Tower is such an iconic thing to see that I can't possibly give it anything less than five stars. Will I be back? I assume so. But with my new goal of visiting 50 different countries before I'm 60 it might just take me awhile.
A must see while in Paris. We went when they opened at 9am. I highly recommend as the queues are long and we were told they just keep getting longer as the days go on. The views are unbelievable. The view from the second floor and the peak are nearly identical. It is very crowded and the second floor has more space to walk. I did not like how full they shoved the elevators. Accessibility: accessible. There are elevators to the second floor. The peak also has an elevator, unfortunately there are stairs to the upper most area that is not glassed in. As a heads up, it is very crowded and there is very little space at the peak, at times it was hard to navigate on the second floor as well.
If there were a way to give this more than five stars, I would. I had the chance to see the Eiffel Tower at all times of day, including sunrise, midday, sunset, and late at night. Yet, somehow it manages to feel completely different and even more special every single time. In the morning, it's calm. By midday, it's bold and iconic, buzzing with energy and people from all over the world. Sunset might be the most magical because of the way the light hits the iron structure gives it this warm glow that feels almost unreal. And at night? Absolutely unforgettable. Watching it sparkle against the dark sky is one of those moments that just sticks with you. I also climbed it. Definitely buy a pass ahead of time, because the lines can be long. The stairs are no joke, but the views are completely worth it. Seeing Paris stretch out in every direction gives you a whole new appreciation for the city. Each level offers a slightly different perspective, and it never really gets old. Yes, it's crowded. Yes, it's touristy. But it's one of those rare places that actually lives up to the hype. No matter how many photos you've seen, experiencing it in person, at different times of day, makes it feel brand new every time. Would absolutely do it all over again. read more
We visited the Eiffel Tower when we went to La Jules Verne for our anniversary dinner. If you have not been there in some time, there is security around it so you will need to go through a checkpoint so give yourself some time if you go during high tourist season. If you're not aware of its history, it was designed and built by the company of engineer Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 World's Fair. It is the most-visited monument in the world that requires a paid entry. The tower has three levels open to the public, with restaurants on the first and second floors and an observation deck at the top. To avoid long lines, especially during peak season, it is recommended to book your tickets online on the official Eiffel Tower website. You can take an elevator to all three levels or, for a more strenuous climb, take the stairs to the first and second floors. At the very top there is an apartment which was designed by Eiffel for his use. You can't go in it, but you can look in the window! read more
The Eiffel Tower is one of those places that actually feels just as magical in real life as it does in pictures. You can watch it sparkle at night, picnic underneath the shadow in the afternoon (or glow in the evening), or take the elevator up for some seriously jaw-dropping views of Paris. Up close, the ironwork is gorgeous and way more detailed than you expect. Yeah, the lines can be long and it's definitely crowded, but the second you're looking out over the city, you forget all that. It's iconic, romantic, and somehow never gets old no matter how many times you see it. It's one of my favorite landmarks in the entire world. read more

Only go if you absolutely must check it off your list. If not, there are beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower throughout Paris. My seven-year-old daughter wanted to go to the top so we walked up on a Wednesday morning. The wait to get tickets and the elevator was two hours long. Once up, it's crowded and just views of the city. My daughter said she regretted going. I'm not one for tourist sites so that clouded the experience. read more

One of those touristy places you have to visit when in France. Built in only a little over 2 years from 1887 to 1889. The eiffel tower was originally built to commenrate the 100 anniversary of the french revolution and for the World's fair in 1889. The views from the 2nd floor observation deck are majestic. You can see all of Paris pretty much. The top floor summit is seasonal and closed in the winter months. Buy your tickets online and watch for pick pockets and unscrupulous people around the tower. The views at night are beautiful. read more
Eiffel Tower did NOT disappoint. I read a bunch of reviews about how overrated the Eiffel Tower was; I didn't feel this way at all. There are so many different viewpoints of the tower. Every angle is spectacular for photos, views, or just sitting looking at it. We walked around the Eiffel Tower every night and several times. We took over 100 pictures and they all came out amazing. It was cool seeing so many people watching the tower, showing up dressed really fancy for photos in front of it, or just hanging out eating. Seeing the tower sparkle every evening was really special too. At 1am they have it sparkle black and white. I was here just before the Olympics so some areas were closed off but we did get to see the tower with the Olympic rings on it, so that was special! We also got really lucky and walked up to the base of the tower and bought tickets within 15 minutes to take the elevator to the top of the tower. If you can get tickets online from the official site, this is the cheapest route. It's really hard to buy tickets online because local "tour guides" are buying them all and reselling them as guided tours. If you're lucky like I was, you can get them cheaper at the tower. 5 tickets to the top was about $100. Buying them from a 3rd party can get as high as $600. Getting to the top took about 15 minutes. We spent about 45 minutes at the top of the tower and enjoyed all the views. It was really special seeing the entire city from above. read more
"It's a long way to the top if you wanna raise a toast" -B.Scott If you're gonna go, I highly recommend getting your elevator to the top tickets online from their official website. It was a cold and blustery day in November when we showed up an hour early for our ascent and sky high champagne toast. We spent most of the time shivering and people watching, before I scored a couple of "chocolate chaud" with Chantilly. That was a great choice. These associates know how to pack an elevator, and you're going to be rubbing shoulders with a whole mess of revelers at the top. Your champagne toast won't be intimate, but it will be memorable... and probably breezy. It's def a "once in your life" kinda thing. read more
Nothing say more Paris than the Eiffel Tower. I ended up going up to the second floor you can go higher but have heard it isn't worth it. You can either take the stairs or elevator. It is a lot of stairs to keep in mind though. Be aware this is a tourist trap and there are people all around trying to get you to buy something. It wouldn't be a Paris trip without visiting the Eiffel Tower so give it a visit it's totally worth it. read more
Our one must visit site while visiting Paris for a few days. Of course Paris has many great things to see, but the one that you absolutely can't miss is the Eiffel Tower. We came twice on our short three days here, the first just to check it out from the outside, then the next to take the elevator to the top. A few weeks before coming we tried to get elevator tickets to the top but they were already sold out, lucky for us it was easy to get them in person on the day of. We had to wait in a line to do so, but the line went by fairly quick. If you can come on a weekday over a weekend day, I would definitely go that route as the lines are much longer on the weekends. Once you're in the tower you can freely explore the second and top floors, on your way back down you can explore the first floor too. Elevator lines can be pretty long to get between floors, but you can always take the stairs between the bottoms and first two floors if you're in a hurry. read more

Yes, as many of the previous reviews have mentioned, a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower while in Paris is a must-do, which is exactly what I did during my visit to Paris for the 1st time (09/26/2023-09/28/2023). With the Eiffel Tower being such a massive structure, you can easily see it from a distance & there are several locations in Paris that you can visit that offer different angles of the Eiffel Tower. Since sharing is caring, listed below are a few of the locations that I visited (see pics attached in this review of each spot) : 1. The Place du Trocadéro ---this is an awesome spot to see the Eiffel Tower but fyi, it is a VERY popular spot for photographers to take photos at. My hubby & I had our professional photoshoot here & our photographer took us there 1st thing in the morning to beat the crowds (7:30am). Getting to see the Eiffel Tower for the 1st time in person at sunset was just magical (I know, a bit cheesy but so true! ). Later in the day, as we passed by it was very crowded w/ people so I definitely recommend checking out this location early so you can enjoy seeing the Eiffel Tower & take your pics w/out the hoards of people all around you. (See our professional photos included in this review & I did include the link to the photographer below which I booked through Airbnb Experiences) 2. Avenue de Camoens (16th Arr) -- a super cute street w/ a staircase at the end complete w/ a stone ledge perfect for posing on. This street is located w/in walking distance from Trocadero & close to Arc de Triomphe. You could also get dropped off at this location. This location is special because it's surrounded by beautiful architecture w/ the buildings that surround this street & great lighting w/ the Eiffel Tower behind you. Our photographer took us to this location during our photoshoot & while it is a popular spot for photoshoots, it wasn't super crowded w/ lots of people despite getting there about 11:30am (See video & pics) 3. Passerelle Debilly--- a footbridge located along the Seine River & behind the Musee d'Art Moderne de Paris. This bridge wasn't crowded w/ lots of people & this area was very quiet & so pretty. Definitely a great location to get pics w/ the Eiffel Tower behind you. (See pics) 4. Champ de Mars---- park located at the base of the Eiffel Tower. Seeing the Eiffel Tower up close really put in perspective how HUGE the structure is. I didn't pay to go up the Eiffel Tower but instead visited the grounds below for free & there's a cute garden/green space complete w/ a small body of water that had ducks in it & benches to sit located along the path. This is the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris! I am shocked that it doesn't have more reviews. This place is well-known around the world. Featured in many movies and tv shows as the symbol of love/ romance. In person it is magnificent. I had no idea that it was so big! I've seen it on tv and thought it was smaller. I knew it was big. But seeing it in person, you realize how big it is! We stood at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and walked around the grounds. Lots of street vendors in that area, selling Eiffel Tower souvenirs. We bought 2 pairs of sunglasses for walking around, since it was bright. The tower is a must see! From far away and up close. Even if you don't want to do one of the tower tours, walking around beneath the tower is pretty cool. And gives you perspective. read more

Without question, this is a must tourist thing to see & experience when you're here. Yes, go to the summit! Experience the gloriously beautiful views that you can see from summit. Yes, the wait is absolutely worth it. read more

The famous Eiffel Tower, with a total of 1,665 step and 674 of them being climbable. So I did what every other tourist does, and did the 674 step climb. It wasn't that bad, I was able to run it down from the ground floor to the first floor then to the first floor to the second floor with only a short break on the first floor. A little more difficult than the arc de triomph, but at the same time a little easier than the arc de triomph. The arc de triomph is only 284 steps, but it's a spirally 284 steps. While the Eiffel Tower is straight steps up the a quick turn and more straight steps up. Up to you which one you want to do (first). But I was able to complete both the arc de triomphe and Eiffel tower in less than 1.5 hours which includes the bus commute. There was also a slight drizzle, but that just means less people, less crowding, and less sweat from everyone climbing these stairs. And no line to go through security! (You need to do security twice) If I had to pick one, I'd climb the Eiffel Tower over the arc de triomphe though. You can see the Eiffel Tower from lots of places, but not many opportunities to actually climb it! read more
What can I say that people don't already know!? I'd just like to add that even after 3 times, the magic and splendor of seeing the Eiffel Tower has not faded! Videos and photos really don't do it justice. I'm glad that actually seeing it in person is free of charge unless you want to climb it and tour it from inside the structure. If you are into fine dining there is also a Michelin restaurant inside! Reservations are hard to come by especially during peak season but they always welcome being added on the wait list! I like to go just before the sunsets, a few minutes of golden hour where the sun isn't harsh and the sky turns beautiful colors. Then stay until you see it twinkling in the night! read more
It was a wonderful day filled with an amazing experience shared with loved ones. I highly recommend this fun activity-definitely a 10/10. I've seen the Eiffel Tower both during the day and at night, and I must say, I prefer the night time. The atmosphere at night is so romantic, while the daytime offers spectacular city views. read more
Until you've seen it in person, it's hard to really understand just how large and magnificent the Eiffel Tower is. You could spend an entire day walking around the grounds below and then touring to tower itself. If you want a souvenir, there are more than enough shops and street vendors that would be happy to sell you a replica. One of the vendors took some pictures for us-his pictures turned out far superior to any that we took ourselves, so we bought some of his stuff. Worth it! We did not buy tickets to go up the tower nor did we visit at night when all the lights are supposed to be mesmerizing, but what we did see was amazing. read more
How did I not actually post the review I wrote up. You can't really rate is anything other than 5 stars. It's a been there, pretty amazing, don't need to see it again type of place. We were here with family that had not been here before so we got to see it again. It was fun seeing it through their eyes. It's really changed since they've had to add so much security and there are long lines to get in, even though it was not high season. The best thing you can do is take a "skip the line" tour. We were walked over from the HISTORY TOURS building to a back entrance and straight to the elevator. It was very fast. When we got to the second level, we were told some basic information about the history. At that point, the guide said his goodbyes and we did what we wanted. Perfect. read more
The pilgrimage of romance is only fulfilled with a moment in front of the globally known landmark. A comfort felt of peace and wonderment taking the time stop and gaze. When touring around town, one can gauge their whereabout estimations in relation to the tower. Goes without saying, seeing the real thing is much more impressive than Vegas ;) read more
Beautiful and tallest in Paris, this beauty was built in a period of 2 years. Visible from most areas. When we visited in June, it was decorated with olympic rings. Make sure to visit the nighttime , beautiful listed view, and some sparkles on the eiffel Tower. Note that you have 2 options 2nd floor access and then summit option. The views from the second floor were stunning, and then glass floors were available on the first floor. The summit is definitely worth it and be prepared for lo g queues. But if you can't make it, that's okay. The views are great from the second floor, too. There are a lot of restrooms and food options available on all the floors. The first floors one are probably less crowded and maintained well. You can reserve online, which is like winning. A lottery or via travel agent and is expensive or on the spot booking and expect long lines. Once you exit, there are food options, too. read more
As the most iconic monument in Paris, if not all of Europe, the Eiffel Tower should be a part of every trip. You can take the stairs or pay a few more euros and take an elevator. I recommend taking the stairs so you can really appreciate just how massive the Eiffel Tower really is. It has the best views of Paris and not only will you get toned leg muscles, you'll get a memory to last a lifetime. read more

This was my 2nd visit to the Eiffel Tower. On my first visit several years ago, we used to be able to walk under and go across the tower. This was no longer the case when I returned in March, 2024. It's blocked. There is still a long line to go up the tower and if you are approached by any teenagers or young adults with a clipboard asking if you speak English, just shake your head, no, because they're just trying to scam you. We also had trouble finding a public bathroom near by. read more
For me this experience was everything I'd imagined and more! I felt a sense of warmth, and excitement wash over me the first time I ever saw the Eiffel Tower. I grabbed a crepe at a near by stand and grabbed a spot on the grass with my friend to sit and enjoy the view, every 15 minutes (I may be wrong) I believe the Eiffel Tower will light up and sparkle!!! I tried FaceTiming facing so they could experience it with me. People sitting on the grass are in a good mood enjoying themselves. The area is kept clean and the landscaping is beautiful. Truly a remarkable sight to see! People do come by and try to sell little souvenirs and wine- don't buy the wine it gave me a headache! Ny friend and I the 2nd night we went for a charcuterie board from across the street at a restaurant and devoured that over a bottle of wine. One of the best nights I've ever had! read more
