Soooooooooooo pretty!!!! This river is gorgeous- for the most part. La Seine River flows all through Paris. It's beautiful. The water and nature surrounding it. You could see many of the major sights seeing from the river. We walked along the seine river too and it's very pretty. Plenty of trees to stay in the shade. This river is exciting to see. There were a couple areas though, with homeless people in tents. I get that every city has homelessness. But seeing that makes the river seem a big trashy. Overall, a beautiful river.
We had a dinner cruise along the Seine. It was nice to go people watching seeing them do the things I usually just see in the movies. I saw a lot of people dancing by the river. Some were couples and some were teens dancing hip hop. Pick the perfect time between daylight and sunset so you can watch the "Illumination" of La Tour Eiffel on the way back.
The Seine is a 472 mile long river flowing through Paris. I had the opportunity to visit Paris and I was very happy to see the river up close. There's not much to say about this experience. I enjoyed my time near the river and the Paris views. It's clean. There's activities for recreational and tour boats. I love seeing the barges. I'm an Aquarius. I enjoy being near the water. I really enjoy being near the river. Any river! Like any body of water the Seine has a history of flooding. I wouldn't want to live too close! It's a nice river to visit. When you visit Paris I suggest you take a walk along the Seine River.
This famous river flows from east to west through the heart of the city and divides Paris's Left Bank and Right Bank. We crossed the river numerous times over scenic pedestrian bridges. The left bank from our hotel to Norte Dame was scenic, the other side of the river had tents, piles of garbage & homeless. Lots of tour boats went up & down the river.

Not the prettiest river I've encountered in this lifetime, but timeless history, objets d'art, and romance at sunset sets it apart. The history resonates walking La Seine... you feel the Medieval darkness to the Renaissance light. You cry for the eternal ashes of Jeanne d'Arc. You hear the battle cries of Napoléon. In more recent times La Seine was the destination for the elite American Airborne of WWII - reaching her would help liberate Paris and all of France! Liberté! Liberté! The tragedy of the '61 Paris Massacre started at Pont Saint-Michel and ended for many in her. My gift to you: La Seine has been the subject of famous impressionist paintings, including Monet's Bathers at La Grenouillere and Renoir's Seine River at Asnieres. La Seine is inevitable if in Paris... she draws you to her. Musée du Louvre; La Eiffel; Notre Dame all share her. In the daylight Parisians picnic with wine and baguettes. Tourists come at all hours for that one perfect photo op. Vendors call her home. As well as the wels catfish and grey heron. Children play, lovers hold hands, and La Seine continues living for another day... Je t'aime!
When I saw the River La Siene, I thought it was the loveliest sight and there is so much to see in Paris. I came by day, then again at sunset and later back at night. Strolling along the waterfront and watching the boats pass underneath. I may be bias as I am drawn to all bodies of water, but this one is a beautiful reflection of the city around it.
While I was in town only for a short time for a work trip, we tried to maximize our stay as much as possible. Following a few work meetings, we took a quick break to stroll along the Seine after visiting the Arc de Triomphe and it was lovely. A great spot to grab some fresh air, see the slights, people watch and let time roll by. J'aime Paris!
Paris is one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the world. Last year, was my first time in Paris. This is the city center of arts and culture. There are numerous epic landmarks including the River La Seine. It's worth taking the river cruise so you can take in the gorgeous scenery. We booked the Eiffel tour which includes the River La Seine cruise. This was one of the highlights of our Paris excursion. We captured some gorgeous views of the Eiffel Tower and the Notre-Dame Cathedral. The cruise took about an hour or so and will pass several of the famous bridges. After the cruise, you take a tour down the river walk or check out the Louvre. We had an amazing boat tour and can check it off the to do list when in Paris!
Breathtaking! Did not get to do a boat tour but I did get to walk along the Seine a couple of times during my vacation and each time was so relaxing. My favourite fun fact about the Seine is the statue of a man called Zouave that serves the purpose of warning the city about possible floods. If he gets his feet wet, prepare for higher than normal water levels. He's located on Pont de l'Alma and if you don't know about this fact, the statue looks really out of place. It is not centered and there are not any signs that explain who he is or what the statue is doing there (or at least I did not find it). The reason it is not centered is actually because there used to be 4.
Severely epic views with unpaired food I'd say. The food tries to be there, just misses the mark. Don't get me wrong, it's not like the food was bad or anything just hard to match the views this cruise provides. Overall, the service is okay. Had an extremely immature couple right beside us which also killed a vibe. Overall, I'd rate this a mid tier dinner cruise.
One of my favorite things to do in Paris is to cruise along the La Seine river and take pictures of Paris. There are several Seine river boat tours that you can book tickets for. My personal favorite is the Bateaux-Mouches because this is an uncovered double-decker boat so you can take amazing pictures of the Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the Conciergerie, the Louvre, Pont Alexandre III, and the Musée d'Orsay. The boat ride lasts a little over an hour and costs €13.5 per adult. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Compagnie des Bateaux-Mouches kiosk (Pont de l'Alma), where the boat departs and returns. http://www.bateaux-mouches.fr/en/reservation/tickets TIP: Sunset is the ideal time to take the cruise because as it gets darker you will see the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower. For the best pictures sit on the left side of the upper deck. The boat turns around after Ile St Louis so the Eiffel Tower will be in all of your photos as you return. Also be sure to check out some of the 37 bridges that span across the La Seine river. The most beautiful and famous bridges include Pont de la Tournelle (links the Left Bank to Île Saint-Louis), Pont Marie (built in 1670, one of the oldest bridges in Paris), Pont au Double (cast iron bridge, originally built in 1626), Pont au Change (links Île Saint-Louis to the right bank and bears the initials of Napoleon), Pont Neuf (oldest bridge of Paris (1607) crosses the Île de la Cité), Pont des Arts (medieval-looking footbridge), Pont Alexandre III (beautiful bridge named after the Tsar of Russia), Passerelle Debilly (pedestrian bridge that offers great views of the Eiffel Tower), and the Pont d'Iéna (historic monument that links the Trocadero to the Eiffel Tower and Champ-de-Mars).
During my trip to Paris I was able to take a river cruise on the Seine. Luckily the weather was pretty good on the date I went. I sat on top deck to take in all the sights. This is a great way to see Paris from a new angle. It's also very relaxing. The workers were very friendly and spoke about 6 different languages when pointing out different sights we were seeing as we crossed landmarks on the river. It was a really nice relaxing start to my morning. This is located directly near the Eiffel Tower.
You will see River Seine quite often when you do the sightseeing in Paris. Many bridges in the city. For example, at Eiffel Tower, Musee Orsay, Notre-Dame, etc. I am sure during summer time, the boat ride will be nice. The river is quite clean, didn't see much garbage. At the Eiffel Tower, there is a stop for the river cruise tour.
We enjoyed a most delightful 7 day Seine River cruise on a Gate1 Travel river cruise ship, their Monarch Countess. We also spent 2 more days in Paris at the end and enjoyed other various Seine River scenes along the way. The Seine is a major winding river way and we apparently went through 6 locks on the way out from Paris to the town of Caudebec-en-Caux in Normandy. The water level was perfect for cruising (not too low and not too high) and in a quite fortuitous streak we also enjoyed 10 straight days in April here with nary a drop of rain! read more
La Seine, Paris So beautiful to walk along the Seine River just enjoying the views after a few days at the Paris Olympics. The Seine River is 483 miles long. Starting in the north of France, it drains to the Paris Basin flowing from Paris to the English Channel. So easy to explore bridges along the river. In Paris alone, there are 37 bridges. So nice to explore. read more
The best deal I had on this trip was the 8 Euros I spent for an hour cruise on the Seine. I was treated to a different view of the outstanding landscape and historic buildings that perch along this famous river. Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower. If you can get a seat towards the front of the vessel, it is beneficial for taking photographs without people in your frame. There are many businesses that offer dinner cruises, lunch cruises, two river cruises, evening light cruises For me, nothing is better than experiencing these sites on a beautiful day in an open topped vessel. read more

Seine River is an extensively long river in Paris. Perfect place to take pictures near the river, the 30 something bridges on it, as well as the trees near it. If you have time, make sure to do one of the boat rides. There are a few different companies which do a 1-2 hour tours with or without food options. They have day tours as well as evening/ night tours on the boats. You can learn more about the monuments which you pass in the boat ride. And of-course you will see the Eiffel Tower from many different angles. I opted to go on the boat ride in the evening on the seine river. It was nice to see all the city lights from the river. It gets super chilly/cold in November and the onward winter months so don't forget to take your coat and scarf. Even if you do not get to go on the boat ride at least pass by the magnificent seine river, it's 1-2 miles walking distance from the Eiffel Tower. read more

A good walk! We just visited the Eiffel Tower and felt like a walk. Also because we travel with our dog (since it's difficult finding a transportation which allows pets in Paris). It's a nice walk along the Seine. Not difficult and with good stops for pics (you pass points of interest like the "Pont Alexandre III", the "Jardin des Tuileries" etc.). We started on the southern side of the Seine. But it was very windy that day and dust kept flying into our faces. We decided to walk on the other side, which was a lot better. Some parts are a bit unexciting, but all in all if you are visiting the Eiffel Tower and want to go to the Louvre (or the other way around), it is a rewarding stroll and you really don't need a taxi, metro or bus to do that. One way was enough though :) read more
If you come to Paris, you must go here! Seeing the river from afar is so much more different than actually walking it. I walked along the river during the day and night, and it's very safe. There are a few bridges that connect the city, and the atmosphere is very relaxed; you can sit near the water and dangle your feet, or have a picnic! I even saw a swan on the river, which was beautiful. read more
Beautiful, lots of views and probably the most recognized item within the city of Paris. The Seine River provides you with some fantastic vantage points of the city and its bridges are fantastic in nearly all facets. There are several dining options that run up the Seine and even river cruised that can take you on tours of the city. The only downside to this particular River is that it's not the cleanest thing on earth and I wouldn't necessarily recommend swimming in it lol. Overall, a great River in a beautiful city. read more

Come here if you want to take a boat ride down the famous Seine River to enjoy all the breathtaking views or just come walk along the river, you will find many local artist displays of artwork you can buy. Or grab some wine, cheese, and baguette and sit along the river and just people watch. It's a great place to enjoy the day and take in Paris. read more
A wonderful sightseen from Paris. Just amazing how much beauty there is around the whole city. From everywhere around the river you can discover yourself in a magical place. You can enjoy La Seine from a boat or walk tour, and over the Voltaire street you can see the wonderful Institute of France in front while you wait for the bus or your touristic bus. Also you have the Louvre Museum only 5 minutes away and there are a lot of tours by boat and many restaurants and coffee shops at the edge. read more

The seine is absolutely stunning and you'll find yourself drawn to it throughout your trip. Just walking along the river and hanging out on the old and lively bridges is worth the trip to paris alone! read more
If you're short on time and need a quick overview of Parisian architecture and history, come for the cruise to get a guided or audio tour. Along the river, you'll see most if not all the iconic monuments and buildings (Eiffel Tower, Louvre, etc.) in the city. The best time to ogle at the Parisian skyline is in the evening during which lights are turned on, but if you want to take good pictures along the river, definitely come here during the daytime. Pro tip: Take a selfie stick with you! read more
It's a river...that you can walk along...with loved ones? Idk, it was a bit underwhelming since most of the world seems to romanticize this body of water in which boats travel on sometimes. For most of the trip, we were driving alongside it and I guess I could see the appeal since it is near a lot of beautiful stuff, but it really wasn't breathtaking. It was one of those things where we were walking and searching for something and realized "Oh hey! This is the Seine! Cool, moving on." read more
As we walked along the La Seine River, there were some rickshaws for hire. So, we took one and paid 9euro or so, to take us to the Orsay Museum. It's fun to stroll along the river, take in the sights, do some people watching, souvenir shopping, and also make your way over to Pont des Arts Bridge. :) Just don't recommend swimming in the river; looks very dirty/mucky. read more

The Seine is Paris as much as Paris is the Seine. For such an iconic river that intertwines and is attached to a bountiful amount of landmarks, famous historical sights, beautiful bridges, kiosks selling gorgeous prints and souvenirs, boats, water - the graffiti has ruined the natural and architectural beauty of the Seine. It's sad and it's tragic. While the Seine still has a lot of panache, ugly graffiti spoils everything. read more

Whether cruising down the river on one of the various boat tours or simply enjoying a pic-nic along the banks of the river, this is one of the most romantic and underrated attractions in Paris. I recommend spending an afternoon walking or dining along the banks until the sun sets, then cruising down the river to view Paris at night. read more
