A great healthy and affordable place downtown that is very similar to your California hipster health bars. Decent choice of salads, paninis, juices and smoothies. When we were there about an hour before closure, they did not have a lot of ingredients and could not fully make declared menu items. They also did not seem to be bothered by that at all, or offer you any substitutes without charging extra : ) After some back and forth and repeating/confirming our order, we still did not get what we wanted, but decided not to make a fuss about it. The food was fresh and tasty. Some interesting non-food additions to our salad bowls (like inedible flowers), but when in Lisbon... eat the flowers? : ) I got the strawberry ginger lemonade, and it was actually one of the best fresh drinks I have ever had. I highly recommend it - super tasty and refreshing. Overall, it was pretty good. One star down for customer service oopsies. read more

I was unimpressed with this place. When we ordered, they were very big on having us come back (before even trying the food) and tried pushing the masseuse upstairs. We explained we weren't interested and they continued to explain the health benefits of a massage. When we got upstairs, the masseuse was very nice but was cleaning the tables and we were offered her services, again. We waited an exorbitant amount of time for our food, and while the presentation was cute, the food was tasteless. I asked for a side of the granola just to have something to eat. The ambiance is cute, but unfortunately that's all I give it. read more

This place is amazing! We needed our greens and healthy food during our week in Lisbon and we were so happy to find Eight. Exactly what we wanted. The food selection is very good and I believe even non-vegan would enjoy it. We had the avocado toast which had fresh and a good amount of avocado and tomatoes. I had a green smoothie, so good. My husband had a smoothie bowl (forgot which one but it was good). We were highly impressed. The service is good too. read more

I fell in love with Eight as soon as I discovered their Instagram account. The food looked so vibrant and appetizing that I immediately added it to my list of "must eat at restaurants" during my next trip to Portugal. It just so happens that we booked an AirBnB within walking distance and we were traveling with a vegan. So, Eight quickly became our favourite spot to eat during our 3-day stay in Lisbon. Every thing we ate and drank was delicious! Super fresh + amazing flavours and textures. Truly a delightful experience each time! The immune booster came in very handy because I caught the flu and popped in for a shot every morning and afternoon. In our group of four, one is vegan, two eat as much of a plant-based diet as possible, and one is a carnivore. Our first meal at Eight was an introduction to vegan food for the carnivore and she LOVED it! Perfect for Vegan toast, smoothies, and bowls. We went twice in one day because the avo toast and Backyard Super Toast (with tofu scramble) were so good. Plus, we really enjoyed the Black Diamond smoothie (activated charcoal, coconut milk, banana, and blueberries). I loved Eight the Health Lounge so much that I went two times on my recent short trip to Lisbon. It was so delicious! I had the tofu scramble sandwich, the berry smoothie bowl and it was all so good. The second time, I had the Tundra sandwich (it has tofu, pesto, hummus, greens) and oh my goodness, it's incredible! One of my favorite sandwiches ever! I also had a beet, orange, and carrot juice and it was so refreshing and delicious! Whenever I'm in Lisbon again, I am 100% returning to Eight the Health Lounge! Also, the decor is sooo pretty and well done! I also love that their menu has photos of the food and the ingredients. Love this healthy spot. The food takes long to come out as they are mostly understaffed. The juices and smoothies are freshly made. We liked the green detox and orange one. The food and drinks are truly amazing. I had super power bowl and brovocado. They are both very tasty. Try the super power bowl and go to heaven. We had two drinks: Sky Blue and Snooze. Sky Blue is a must-try drink! It's exclusive in here. You can never find anything alike outside. The Snooze is a tea mixed with lavender and camomile. I gave this two stars because you get quite a bit of food for the price. Now, I got the bean power bowl. They forgot the red pepper entirely. And the rice was legitimately crunchy in parts. Like not cooked. I kept trying to figure out what was crunching. Flavors weren't particularly interesting. It's very healthy and minimal ingredients so with these dishes it really comes down to the sauce/dressing. It was decent. But yes you could and should make this in your own home. I might try to come back for a latte! But never again for a bowl. read more
