It had sliced hard boiled eggs, sprouts and some sort of mayonnaise/mustard spread on it. Though served cold, it was still good and the roll was firm yet soft and chewy. The sandwiches appear to all be made on site, since there was an employee assembling new sandwiches as they were depleted from the counter display. The usual coffee drinks were on offer here. I went for a cappuccino, which was good. Not too foamy, but good. One size only for the coffees.

The man that was taking orders was very nice and patient. He took time to explain how it was working and what we could have, even if he was a bit overwhelmed. The ice cream is very good, the different flavors go very well together. Of course, it's more expensive than the usual ice creams but the quantity you get for 5€ - 6 rolls - is quite generous. Concerning the decor, I'm not a fan but that's not really important when you're having a good ice cream :)

Owned by Florian and Sandra Koller, a focus on traditional French Chocolates, Tarts and Cookies setting their Patisserie apart from other spots in Frankfurt, it was expectedly finding options somewhat picked over that two guests entered at 18h10, posted hours from 10h00 to 19h00 duly noted but staff rudely refusing two chairs upstairs before abruptly continuing "and we're cash only." Admittedly put off by such attitude, the young man with tan skin unapologetically adding a comment about how Espresso machines had already been turned off even though no one had asked for Coffee, it was nonetheless for the sake of having taken the time to visit that Dessert was taken to standing-tables nearby, a one-bite Cookie featuring Figs and Nuts quite good while L'Art Sucré's Pithivier had clearly suffered from a day on the counter with all but the very top layer lacking in terms of crispness. Never passing on Tart Tatin, the last one available also L'Art Sucré's final sale of the day as no other patrons entered prior to closing, the Pie leaves no doubt of the Koller's talents as everything from Cream to Crust was beautiful, and had the clerk not been so rude there's a good chance another visit would have been made later in the week to taste additional items.

They also offer a full café menu, making it a great place to relax and spend some quiet time. Seating is limited but comfortable: four tables that seat four people each, plus around six counter seats. English is spoken, and credit cards are accepted, which is always convenient. I highly recommend the apple and walnut cinnamon roll -- it's generously filled all the way through and absolutely delicious. I also noticed a few people working on their laptops, which adds to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. An excellent café overall.

Let me tell you! 1. The menu: I think I understand 1/3rd of it. Not because my German is that bad, it's because I don't speak Turkish and let me tell you. If the menu is in the "native" language of that business, me thinks it's a good sign. 2. The customers: All. Turkish. People. And I bet they know where to go for their Heimat cuisine. 3. And Yes Mr./Madam App. That Turkish Mocha was shining in my face that morning, dark and strong. It's early and in the morning a strong Joe or it's derivative is what I want. I liked Simit Sarayi the second I stepped in the door based on the decor of light wood and bright yet faded lighting. When I saw all the shiny/light brown pastries and deserts the part of my brain that knows flaky /chewy/baked goods is coming kicked in and started creating a tiny bit of a salivating and a slight involuntary grin out of my morning dullness. Now to choose, especially since these flat circle sandwiches with cheese inside just came out or one that was already sitting there. And the Schokolade brownies also looked good. I chose by appearance in texture and got a Pogaca (Hackfleisch). I think I liked the Pogaca a little more than I liked the Turkish Mocha, maybe I am too used to American/Columbian style coffee. The Turkish Mocha was a bit sour. It was bold but not as strong as in appearance or assumption. No milk, no sugar is the way I go sometimes and this is one of those cases. It came in a little cup: cappuccino style and the bottom half was the left over sand from the grind, not edible. Good in flavor and aroma (medium) but it's like a shot of sour, semi-bold, semi-hot, shot of wake-up. The Pogaca was soft but not too soft as in cake like softness, a lightly dense, chewy, a tad of airiness and seems like the right amount of butter incorporated in. With the Hackfleisch, it add a nice tasty touch, ground turkey meat (tasted like it)? There's seating in front and quieter in back. +Excellent Free Wifi
