I had the cookie and waldbeere flavors on a simple cone. Both were very refreshing. While the line was very long, the actual wait was very short. They are very efficient in moving people through and getting orders out. This was very nice, as I had already spent most of the day standing and sweating in the sun. My only complaint would be the prices and the lack of seating around the shop. They are more expensive than other places around, and there is nowhere to sit at the shop. Once you get your order, you're on your own to find a place to enjoy it. Overall, this place works in a pinch. If you want to sit and enjoy your Eis, this may not be the stop for you.

We waited about 30 min so I had high hopes. We got the honey/sage ice cream which was quite good. The cherry chocolate was horrible, we tried to pass the cone between us to get rid of it as fast as possible. Had hardly any sugar and was just not good. The chocolate was pretty good and the blueberry not so much. The wait time was ridiculous. They had one woman scooping which is crazy considering its spring. The ice cream was ok, nothing to rave about. I guess people like it because of the exciting flavor combos but the ice cream itself is not the best consistency. Its almost watery instead of creamy.

And when you get a chance to try the ice cream from the man behind that brilliant idea, you do that. My mom got the spaghetti ice in a cone. I got my favorite yogurt ice cream and the apricot-lavender sorbet. The latter was super flavorful and contained ripe, sweet apricot chunks. It was delicious. The ice cream was very smooth, with no ice crystals. That's because it's always made fresh with seasonal ingredients. The prices are also very reasonable. Cheaper than in Heidelberg. I'm sad this place is an ocean away. How will I get my apricot-lavender fix now?!?
