We stopped by for the view on our hike, and decided that the view could use some Kaffee und Kuchen…read more I ordered a pot of hot chocolate, and like most cafes here, it comes with full fat milk, not my favorite, but still tastes fine, just a tad bit rich for me. But the only complaint I had with the hot chocolate, is that it was lukewarm. My spouses Cappuccino was hot and good, large size cup. He ordered the Apfelkucken which looked good, no whipping cream on it, and it tasted good as well. Here their Apfel Kuchen are really that, more cake than pie with a cake bottom instead of a pie crust, which I happen to like better as cakes in general tend to be rather tasteless. I ordered the Rhabarber Baiser, which is a Rhubarb cake with meringue on top. A kind of strange rhubarb meringue pie, tho again with cake instead of pie crust. So while the view is fantastic, the servings, at least what we had were just so-so, and the service spanned the nice to totally ignore.
