I recently discovered what is now going to be our new spot for my son's haircuts. They were so kind to take us at the last minute before they closed at 2pm on Sunday. Sonia did an amazing job cutting my son's hair. She took her time and used different tools to make sure he had the cleanest lines. My son who normally doesn't care was super happy and said "ya no more Great Clips I like this place!" Make sure you bring cash! $30 for regular hair cuts. What a joke this place is! I took my 6yr old son to get a haircut on a Sunday for school in the morning. We get there and understand they have long waits, me and my son can do that..no problem. When the hour wait is over, a woman says "you ready? or are you waiting for him?" I looked over and looked back and replied: "Oh..we don't care. You can absolutely do it" I show her a picture of the simple haircut and mention my sons hair disappears fast so want to make sure he doesn't look bald" ((said in a happy joking matter)). She says, "No problem" and we both confirm it's 'all lights green' and she starts the haircut. I am looking around and the look back at my son to see her chopping his hair in a bowlcut shape and in 10seconds he looked bald. I with a smile said "Oh ...can we stop and just shape it now? His hair disappears like magic...its so light that it's a little tricky but he really begs me to keep his hair length so..." and I was CUT OFF IMMEDIATELY with an abrupt attitude. The woman cutting my sons hair says: "Look. I will cut his hair and AFTERWARDS you can tell me what you want to fix" Her IRRITATION PALPABLE and the mere mention of how my son wants his OWN HAIR was a MAJOR UPSET to a hairdresser? Ok..in 3 seconds time..without ANY EXPLANATION to my 6yr old son she snatched his cape off his shoulders and motions him to walk away after buzzing off his hair in an ugly way and starts speaking in SPANISH to what I gathered was her son. Her son then says nothing. They let us sit there for 40 more.mins so now 1hr and 30mins TOTAL my little 1st grader toughed out. Then! With a HUUUUGE attitude the guy about to FINISH my son haircut ((the only other human in there who cuts hair says: "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I reply "Oh ..just was trying to explain my sons hair disappears fast and just want to make sure to leave as much as we can like this picture is what he wants" ((super friendly trying to just make some win-wins here)) and then he cuts my sons hair..I dont think much of it..my son says "Mommy, are we done?" I say "Yes baby you look so good! Give this money to him and say thank youuu" My sweet little boy walks over to hand him $40 (($35 for the haircut+ $5 TIP for good measure)) and the man looks at my son and steps back motioning to him to 'go away'. My son looks at me all confused. The man then says "No..we don't want your money and as a matter of fact, don't even come here again. Just go back to where you usually get his haircu!" My son stood there not knowing why this man was rejecting us. I calmly said 'That's ok baby. You can keep it"((the money in his little hand)). I looked at the man and said "I think there is a misunderstanding here because I sat here the entire time listening to you and your mother speak ILL of me in SPANISH because it never occurred to you both that I read speak and write Spanish and just listened to you SLANDER me for simply trying to COMMUNICATE how a child wants his hair to look after YOU ASKED ME how he wants it?! ((STILL speaking with kindness I said "No problem. I'll take my little $40 and spend it elsewhere" ...and we left. What a STRANGE ...UNPROFESSIONAL and UNFITTING experience. It was just a 1st graders haircut ..not 'war of the streets'. Do yourself a favor and get your haircut somewhere else. read more

Came here to get my haircut says they're open from 9 AM to 7:30 PM Monday through Friday. Been waiting here for over an hour and 15 minutes. Also have called the number they have and no one has answered. I believe that this is bad customer service from 12 advertisement I cannot speak about the qualityor the vibe they did not give me the opportunity to test out the spot. read more

Absolutely ridiculous. They charge you whatever they want and don't give a shit. I was just charged $80 For a simple haircut and beard trim the lady said that I need to pay 80 because I also got a facial shave and hot towel treatment which I did not. last week I got the exact same haircut and they charged me $65 for it. I've been here twice now with two different barbers: Eddie and Sonia. I get very nervous switching barbers because my hair is so difficult to work with. Usually when I get my hair cut, the next day it sticks up in the back and is very tedious to gel and style. Both times coming here, I walked out more than satisfied and my hair is MUCH easier to style!! These people definitely know what they're doing! I really liked how friendly and professional Eddie and Sonia were. Honestly, they went above and beyond for me. Which is why I'm finding the negative reviews on here so hard to believe--did you guys really get your hair cut at the same place? They're in a convenient location and I was welcomed immediately both times and I was in-and-out in less than an hour. I came in and the older brother said you have 2 more ahead of you. I decided to wait since it was already the middle of the day on Sunday so not many barbershops were open. I don't understand all the single star reviews on here. Every time I go to EJ's to get my haircut I'm welcomed with open arms and they always do a fantastic job. I go with whoever's available and all 3 of them can chop me up just the way I like it, so for anyone saying they butchered your hair- you probably didn't explain yourself that well. Next time just bring in a picture of yourself with your haircut. They are local in simi so you don't have to go out to the valley or TO for a haircut which can be a drag. This place is pitiful and they must have had friends write these good reviews. First off there is 2 burnout kids that are the so called barbers and they did the worst job. I think Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles would be a better bet cutting hair than this garbage. Don't go here unless you want your head shaved and they'll probably butcher that as well.
