After an extensive search and dealing with a lot of different people and companies, I found many of the artists I dealt with to be lacking. Their fees were too high, the quality of their work did not look good, etc. In fact, the worst one I found was a combination of the two: the artist's work did not look very good at all, yet her price was between $5,000 and $20,000. Nope. After almost giving up hope of finding a competent artist, I finally found Jack Kane's shop. I contacted them, and after a few emails, it became clear that Jack Kane was my guy. I worked extensively with Zane Schweer to hammer out the details of the design, and it came together beautifully. Zane was fantastic to work with. I was a little nervous about working it all out through email, but Zane made it work. He provided a number of mock-ups to consider, and we finally narrowed it all down to a specific design. The turn-around on the painting was quicker than I expected, and the quality was nothing short of fantastic. Jack's work is phenomenal, and it shows both on the gallery on his website, and in the finished project that I received. As far as price goes, no, it's not cheap, but it's VERY reasonable given the quality of his work. If you're looking for custom paint work, this is the place to go. Zane and Jack will make sure your paint kicks ass and turns heads. Seriously. Don't waste your time on anyone else.

When I got there the guy at the gun counter was very helpful and helped me pick out a scope in my price range.. all the while a nice younger associate helped keep an eye on my 4 and 3 year old you were nicely looking at fishing lures. After a older gentleman help me find a nice pair of hunting pants for my husband.. which he started by showing me the 50% off ones first... Once I started biking more on the trail, and now that I use my bike for daily transport, I've been going there (often lately) when I get flats, the work is always superb and speedy. I would like to note, however, that when I visit, I tend to feel an awkward energy, it's as if I'm bothering them, a feeling of being unwelcome. I've always noticed it, but overlooked it. I watch the interactions with other customers and it always seems very upbeat and exciting, but with me, there's a dead silence, no greeting, no eye contact, all the way through the whole visit. (Kathy, is very pleasant and attentive, I will say.) Yet, there is still this subtle background energy of not feeling welcome. I don't think I've said or done anything to offend them, (maybe I have, unintentionally) these days, you just never know. I probably should stop being lazy, and change my own flats, but I do like going there because of the convenience, and I would also like to upgrade to a higher quality bike in the future. On the whole, I have no problem, and it's pretty cool to have a dedicated shop for folks with bicycles, but because of the previous mentioned aspect, I do feel compelled to write this review.
