This is a Skilled Nursing Facility (or SNF as they're called) and from what I know, they focus more…read moreon rehab following a hospital stay now and not long-term care like what one might think of when they hear about a Nursing Home. I mention this because if a loved one was in the hospital for something other than a routine/elective procedure and after a lengthy hospital stay and you are told that the doctor is recommending transfer to a Nursing Facility instead of discharging them home, it creates a great bit of anxiety for both you and your loved one because "Nursing Home" is a scary, perhaps the scariest word for an older loved one but we were assured that this was indeed temporary and in the best interest of our loved one and in retrospect, it was the right decision. Their ultimate goal is to rehab your loved one and get them ready and strong enough to be discharged at home and have things ready for them at home (Oxygen, equipment, etc.) when they are. To be very honest, it won't be easy for you and your loved one especially with all the COVID-19 protocols that limit visitation - by limit I mean there are no visitations unless you go outside on the window or use Facetime but you can register to be an "Essential Caregiver" by taking a COVID-19 test, making an appointment to get trained for it, and then making appointments to see your loved one. You are however able to drop off things for your loved one. There will also be times that you will be very frustrated because communication could use some improvement. The problem is that the nursing staff take instructions from the hospital doctor (at least in our case) but don't really know what the doctor's longterm plans are. Your point of contact is the social worker who gets her information from the Director of Nursing who again, may or may not know what the doctor's goal and timeline is. If you call the doctor's office, they might refer you back to the Social Worker and so as time goes by, your level of anxiety keeps building up. At the end of the day though, I can say without hesitation that every single person that myself and my loved one came in contact with there was a dedicated and caring professional who had my loved one's best interest in mind. The rooms were nice, bright, and clean and resembled a nice hotel room. The food was pretty good from what I was told as well. When the time came to be discharged, they helped us set up the medical equipment and other things we needed.

This is my 2nd stay with Concierge, they have changed owner. I found the service is far from what…read morecould have been. I found nursing staff to assist care limited and unwilling. Let me be straight not all nursing staff, those on the 6pm - 6 am to be criticizing, demeaning and unhelpful. They fail to have respect for the patients who are rude. Communication with about 55% of the CNA's Is mostly unfamiliar careful wording is needed for expression. This is called now Avir. The administration is cold, distance, and totally unavailable. For instance, I was requested to submit a sample of my urine. This was a 2 day attempt. First the bowl wasn't very secure, fell in the water. Second attempt was much better, caught what was needed, they failed to be picked up my the 6 pm - 6am, so my 3rd attempt I was successful. Now I have to wait to see if it will be picked up. Another insult I was waiting outside for my 98 year mother to arrive which made me late for lunch. A troop of culinary staff came to my door asking when I would be finished with my lunch, I explained I had received my warmup food and was eating it now. When I finished with my one plate, bowl, and dessert. Called for the pickup, no one showed. Most recently the fire drill was blasting, being from the public sector I am aware of the procedure if I was informed of the drill. Was not informed. A staff member hurriedly past me grabbing the extinguisher. Didn't say anything about a fire drill so I continue on the hallway, as I got into view of the gather CNA's/ maybe maintenance member. One pointed to me saying "why is out". It could have been a better way of communicating to me such as "we are having a fire drill please return to your room" no one told me it was a drill, if someone had said this you me I would have wholeheartedly participate correctly. My linen hasn't been changed in over a week. Asked for a change nothing happened. There're are other incidents I would like to mention I have written to long. Hopefully I have given you a view of what to expect. Oh last observation when you call for assistance in your room, plan on waiting 20 - 30,40 minutes for an answer

I experienced several occasions where a scheduled appointment would be changed at the eleventh hour. In January, I was notified around midnight that my cleaning for the next morning would not occur. In February, I was notified once again but my scheduled appointment was honored and he actually mentioned that he thought he was fired. Something I didn't give much thought to until March when I received a message that the appointment booked about 2 weeks in advanced would need to be changed due to a scheduling conflict. The notification of course came around 10pm. Less than 12 hours before the expected appointments time. I asked why and the response was that he did not see the calendar until now. I thought about this and realized there is a lack of accountability here and a growing trend of unprofessionalism I no longer wished to condone. I hope they are able to recover from whatever is the cause of this and wish them the best of luck.

I liked Ronny, the owner of this company, but the man he brought to install the ceiling fan in our…read morenursery did a terrible job and left a teetering ceiling fan in a room where our baby is to sleep. After explaining my concerns to Ronny (I could see that the ceiling fan was shaking) he told me that the fan just needed to be balanced but he wasn't sure how much that would cost to do. He guaranteed that the fan was safe, however. I suspected that this was not the case, and so I called our electrician to come out. It was revealed that instead of securing the fan with a box, Ronny's man screwed the fan into a piece of wood with cabinet screws, leaving the fan in danger of falling out any time it was turned on. We are getting the problem fixed now, but I cannot recommend this company for anything electrical. I reached out to Ronny after he left to tell him of my disappointment, even asking if there was a job that he did really well that he could do so that he can try to give me better representation of his company so I can leave a better review. He told me he would have another of his technicians call me but that was over a week ago and I have not heard from them. At this point, time is up and I must review him based on the info at hand - a poor, unsafe and now expensive job indeed.
