I can't believe how many hours of my life I've wasted filling out arduous applications only to be rejected by algorithms, or all of the marketing lists I'm now one due to applying through Indeed and other sites. I got a call from Sarah Colvill and this experience just confirmed why I don't deal with recruiters. They sell you a pipe dream of an opening and want you to come in to chat and you never hear from them again so they can get credit or an extra bonus for that person coming in. Unfortunately, my experience with Murray Resources was unprofessional. I had submitted information to the Houston office, was contacted. Schedules an interview over the phone, was never contacted. Followed up with the person, never called me back. Called again the following day, she, the recruiter claimed she called and left me a message. I did not have a miss call. She called and told me she was busy, would call back to schedule an appt., interview, still waiting. I do not think some of these agencies realize that although you may be using their service for you personally, they never know if you'll need their services for recruiting as well. wasted an hour at the gessner site. was told i had an interview with a local attorney. took half a day off work, drove to the site and was told by receptionist i was not on the calendar to be interviewed. and the person who was suppose to interview me was not in at scheduled time. asked if i could wait and was told ok. waited over 1/2 hour and finally left . had to pay for parking. do not use murray resources, they dont know what they are doing. is not a reputable agency you are wasting time and your money dealing with them. read more

My experiences with Murray Resources are in stark contrast to the previous reviewer. The entire team there is very responsive, not to mention professional. I have referred friends, family, and ex-coworkers to them both as candidates looking for work, and hiring managers looking to fill a position. Kimberly Shelton specifically has worked feverishly to find work for just about everyone I have sent her way. I can say that, because each of them is now gainfully employed thanks to her. The fact that she has managed to do this successfully in today's job market is no small feat in my opinion. It should be noted that I say this as the only person that she has NOT found a job for. The reason she was unable to place me, is that I was thankfully picked up before she had the chance to. However, I still credit her with helping me find the job I am in now. Being laid off was one of the most tasking experiences I personally have endured. The entire time Kim was trying to place me, she was both steadfast and "upbeat." Even when there was nothing available, she would call to encourage me to take training. As a result, the classes I took made me more presentable. She even went a step further and helped me take a dismal excuse for a resume into an exceptional one that landed me a job!! I am pleased to report that I have been working steadily now, and as an added bonus, I like what I do!! I will continue to refer people to Murray Resources. I was working, but needed more income and my current employer was not in a position to offer me more money. A recruiter for Murray contacted me about a position and I responded with an updated resume. Never heard anything from them and two months go by when one morning I go into the office and there is my employer (soon to be ex) with the resume that I had sent to Murray Resources. Mind you that their website is littered with promises about keeping searches confidential and I mentioned this in my reply to the recruiter. When I got home I called and e-mailed the recruiter asking how it was possible a copy of my resume got into the hands of my ex-employer. The ex told me, but I never got an explanation. I do however get regular contacts from the recruiter looking for help filling a job search. If you are a candidate with a job you can't trust them and if you are an employer looking to fill one is this the type of vetting process you want to pay for from a search firm? read more

Let me tell you folks about this place . This must be the upmost unprofessional recruiting agency there is. They solicit for jobs they do not have , they force you to an interview for the job that they don't give you any details and that you haven't applied or had any interest off. They drag you along all the way to the final interview then they can't even follow up . I was called 4 times to an interview with a same client, went great what can I say . Since I had a final interview I wanted to follow up to see who did the client decided to go with as I had another offer on the table and I needed to make fairly quick decision. After unanswered emails two unanswered phone calls asking for the simple update I passed on a opportunity and didn't took another job that was offered to me by a different company . Not until this day they had ever responded to me. Should have read the reviews before even agreeing to meet with these folks. Anything that is 4 stars are the reviews they made themself. Murray resources you really suck and you are very much unprofessional and incompetent in anything you do. Wash of the excess makeup and put your act together, attend some junior level classes at the city college ( you could all benefit from some basic education) as far as your manners; that I can't help you with if you didn't learn that at home you will not learn it anywhere else. I went through a short period of time between jobs and reached out to quite a few staffing agencies to be sure I got my name out there. I'd have to say my experience with most of them was not very good - lack of responsiveness, poor/no placement opportunities, office politics effecting applicants, etc. Murray Resources has none of the previously mentioned qualities. The entire staff is professional and genuinely wants to not only find applicants positions, but work to place them at a company where they as well as the company in which they are placed will succeed. As soon as I reached out to Murray Resources I was interviewed and placed at a temp-to-hire position almost immediately with a company that was an amazing fit. I was able to find a field and career path I never would have gone for on my own and can definitely thank Murray Resources for the opportunity. I've referred multiple friends who were looking for new positions to Casey Landers. She is a go getter and takes her time to get to know applicants and place them in positions that will benefit both the client and applicant. Talked with my recruiter and we discusses a couple open positions that I felt really good about and was well qualified for. After steady communication I stopped hearing anything from my recruiter and attempted to contact her several times only to find she was "out of office" or "on the phone." Eventually got through to her and she said that the hurricane slowed things down, which is completely understandable although a message stating this would have been nice, and that she would give me a call later that day.
