Waited for about 10 minutes to be seated.Waited 30 minutes for 4 beers and there was no waiter in sight. We left. There were a lot of dirty tables and a long wait in line. 1 girl cleaning tables kept telling us she was sorry. ‍

I wish Yelp would have more Stars to give it a 10!! They were the Most amazing and delightful Hot tocinetas I've ever eaten!! You all need to try themit's jumbo shrimp wrapped on bacon with cheese and a slice of hot pepper, WOW!! can't described how amazing they were

Service was prompt, place was clean, food overall was good. I ordered a small shrimp cocktail and although it was good, it just needed to be a little bit colder. For my main dish, I wanted something spicy and waitress suggested the camarones a la Diabla. Wow! It came with six shrimp, white rice with corn, fries, hush puppy, and lettuce on the side. The shrimp was so good and spicy! My dad ordered the grilled shrimp and left only the tails. My brother and his wife both ordered soups and were pleased with their soups. The all shrimp soup was delicious! Oh, last but not least, do not leave this place without trying one of their awesome Micheladas, they are the bomb!!!!

If I can give it a -1 star I would but that's not an option. Nice atmosphere, pricey menu, very nice staff. When it comes down to the food, I agree with the other review that was a one star. Worst shrimp I've ever had in my life. Salty chips, Salty fries, definitely would NOT recommend this place to anyone. The fish smelled so fishy which means it's cheap quality (barf)

Good food, and the customer service is amazing. Travel from La Joya just to eat here, it's that good!

I was very disappointed with my experience…read more I ordered the ribeye with a baked potato and a house salad. The first issue was that my house salad didn't arrive until after my entrée was served. I ordered my steak medium, but when I cut into it, it was completely overcooked. The meat was gray throughout, with no pink at all, and it was so tough that I couldn't enjoy it. I almost never send food back, but this was one of those rare times. The waitress was very apologetic and confirmed she had entered the order correctly as medium, so she had the kitchen prepare another steak. While waiting, I started eating my salad. When the replacement steak arrived, it looked better from the outside, but once I cut into it, I found it was just as overcooked as the first one--gray all the way through and again with no hint of pink. On top of that the baked potato was cold and seemed to maybe be reheated in the microwave as it was chewy. The "fresh rolls" had to be 1-2 days old. Stale and flavorless. At that point, I couldn't help but question the quality of the steaks. For a steakhouse, I expected a much higher standard. Based on my experience, the meat seemed to be of poor quality and certainly didn't meet expectations for a properly cooked ribeye. The waitress did her best to make things right, and I appreciate her effort, but unfortunately the kitchen failed twice. I left very disappointed and wouldn't return based on the quality of the food.

A lovely place for a meal!…read more Kingsville Steakhouse has a wide variety of food aside from steak, all of which were very good. The portions were large and the food was flavorful. I especially appreciated the construction of the Caesar salads! They were loaded to the brim with parmesan and dressing (which are obviously the best parts of the salad)! The rolls were perfectly fluffy and warm. This spot even got a pickle-hater to like fried pickles! I made the small mistake of ordering seafood at a steakhouse but regardless was not disappointed. The portion of shrimp was a tad small but the sides made up for it. It definitely feels like the food was made with love. Like many restaurants in the region, the walls were lined with beautiful mounts. The restaurant had a very homey feel. The service was very homey as well. Our server was incredibly sweet. She was quick and offered refills for the table frequently. She kindly provided to-go cups for our drinks too! This is a must-visit when in Kingsville!

"Authentic Southern-Fried Seafood Done Just Right" 08-04-2025…read more A huge shoutout to the cooks at Baffin Bay Seafood! These guys seriously know how to throw down in the kitchen. If you're craving fresh, authentic southern fried seafood, look no further; this is the spot. My husband and I stumbled across Baffin Bay on our way back to Houston from Edinburg, Texas. We were starving, craving some good ol' fried seafood, and after scouring the web, this baby popped up about an hour's drive away from Edinburg. By the time we arrived, our appetites were in high gear, and let me tell you, the wait was worth every mile. From the very first bite, we knew we'd hit the jackpot. Hubby and I were beyond satisfied that we chose this place over all the other options that Yelp had to offer. The rave reviews are well-deserved, and those food photos online? They don't lie. I could practically smell and taste the fried black drum fillets through the screen, and the real thing delivered even more flavor than I imagined. The atmosphere had that warm, small-town vibe where everyone knows everyone, reminded me a little of that series, "Dawson's Creek." We were greeted by the nicest woman (wish I had gotten her name), and right away we felt at home. Now, don't be fooled by the outside of the building, it might not look like much, but we all know the saying, "Looks can be deceiving." Inside, it's cozy but not cramped, with patio seating option that overlooks the bay. The view is calm and peaceful, the perfect backdrop for good food and drinks. Sadly, we didn't have time to sit and linger, but believe me, I was eyeing that bar! They had some of my favorites stocked on the shelf, Tito's Vodka, Apple Crown Royal, and 1800 Silver. Next time, I'm planting myself on a barstool and unwinding with a cocktail or two. Food Ratings: Fried Red Fish- 5/5 - Fried to Crispy-Golden-Brown Perfection! Fried Shrimp - 5/5 - Fried to Crispy-Golden-Brown Perfection! Redfish Po'Boy - 5/5: Fully loaded, fresh veggies, golden-brown toasted hoagie: mouthwatering. Fried Onion Rings - 5/5: Authentic and hand-cut, not the frozen stuff. Fried Okra- 5/5 - Tasted super fresh like they had been picked straight from the garden. Steamed Broccoli- 5/5: Perfectly cooked, tender but still with a crunch. Tartar Sauce- 5/5: Tangy, bold, and packed with flavor (a little strong on the onion, which I loved). Hubby went with the fried redfish Po'Boy and fried okra. He originally wanted black drum, but since they were out, he settled for the red, and he swears it was the BEST Po'Boy he's ever had. We both agreed that they are very generous with their portion sizes. I ordered the Take Two Fried Platter which comes with shrimp and your choice of fish (red, cat, or black drum), accompanied by two sides; I opted our for steamed broccoli and fried onion rings with the red fish. Everything came out hot, fresh, and fried to absolute perfection. Not a single bite disappointed. Bottom line: this place is the real deal. If you're near the Gulf of Mexico and want authentic, down-in-the-Valley, southern fried seafood, make Baffin Bay Seafood your go-to because this is the place to get it! I'm already planning my return visit. Highly, highly recommended; you will not be disappointed! Guaranteed.
