I was recommended the sardines to start -- lightly fried fillets served over a bed of crunchy patatas, peppers, and delicate petals. Beautifully plated and absolutely delicious, it was the perfect portion since I was also planning to order paella.
Masusa offers both personal-sized and larger paellas, which was ideal as a solo traveler. Co-owner Ana recommended the black rice paella with fish, calamari, and monkfish cooked in squid ink. It was flavorful and even better with their special garlic sauce.
The couple seated next to me ordered the Paella Russafa -- a spicy red seafood paella -- and kindly shared a taste. Delicioso!
