Cod fish fritter with a red pepper cream sauce

I was in Valencia in July and the day before my departure, and I wanted to have the paella before I left. The tricky thing is that I would be alone. Most places that serve paella require you to purchase two servings because of the pans in which they cook it. The next tricky thing was finding a place that served a paella I could eat because of my dietary restrictions. I searched and searched and saw that Masusa Paella Bar did everything! The next tricky thing was finding a place that served a paella I could eat because of my dietary restrictions. I searched and searched and saw that Masusa Paella Bar did everything! The third tricky thing was getting a seat. You have to leave a WhatsApp text and then a way to reply for confirmation. I did not know this at the time. I didn't know that I was taking a chance when I decided to go there without a reservation. Sure enough, when I asked for a seat, there were none. As I began to walk away the wonderful lady called me back and asked me if I was willing to sit at small table, near a large fan, which required me to traverse a couple of cords. I am emphatically said yes. This was a great decision! Even though I was in a corner by fans, the vibe in the place was joyful. If you visit their instagram page, the sense of joy that you see is what I experienced. According to the menu, you need to allow 30 minutes to receive a paella order, so I ordered the cod fish fritters and the vegetable paella. Each bite was better than the last and the first bite was so, so good. I enjoyed every minute of my time there and will go again, If I am so blessed to visit Valencia again.

Excellent service, nice ambiance, especially if you're seated outside and great food. - the scallops here were amazing. 6 large sized scallops cooked perfectly - the grilled octopus was very good as well, but a touch below the scallops - the spinach salad with goat cheese was excellent. - we ordered the Valencia paella and the fideua paella (came with squid ink). Both were delicious and we had a hard time differentiating between them.

4.5 stars We were eager to taste the authentic paella, Masusa was highly recommended. After following the Google map direction for 30 minutes we finally reached the destiny. At 2pm, we grabbed the last table outside; the weather was perfect. We shared an octopus appetizer to start with some wine, it was very yummy. The texture was slightly chewy and tastier than the version we had at home, I enjoyed the charred crispy edges especially. Black ink seafood paella recommended by the waitress was so tasty, we didn't mind at all that our teeth were turning black. There were many different variations of paella on other tables, most were yellowish from the saffron, some bright red from beets or spice and black ones from squid ink. We enjoyed a delicious meal and a very pleasant experience.

Looking for traditional Valencian Paella near the city center? Then head over to Masusa Paella Bar in Ruzafa! We sat inside the cozy restaurant and ordered some tapas and drinks before our paella. Recommendations: For tapas, try the patatas bravas. For paella, try the traditional Valencian Paella with chicken and rabbit. So good!

Small place with big flavors. One of the best meals in Spain. The salad was fresh. We had a special appetizer that knocked my socks off. The paella was delicious. The 18 euro wine was also surprisingly excellent.

MUST TRY!! We got lucky and was able to snag a seat indoors. Outside tables were completely full and shortly after being seated, the whole restaurant filled up. Be patient, there's only one waiter working the whole restaurant but I promise the wait is worth it! The cup of sangria is massive, I wished I had photographed my hand with it for reference. Crab salad on avocado was good but it wasn't anything memorable. Now I usually don't like battered fried food, but ommgggg this fried fish was SO light and flakey! It was cooked to perfection. The star of the night was the squid ink paella, put a dollop of the garlic cream and it's a game changer. This was the best paella dish we had on our Spain vacation.

The paella here is excellent. The traditional Valencian has excellent flavor and the portions are definitely big. We ordered a pan for 3 people and we were stuffed. The chicken croquettes were also good.

We haven't had a paella but three other dishes were of poor taste while clearly overpriced. Truly bad experience

Nice place with tasty food. Waiter was very friendly and careful. May be its place not best in Valency but nice for dinner with friends

Great paella and tapas away from the tourist center of Valencia. Patatas bravas and croquetas also very good. Lots of outdoor tables.

During Las Fallas we enjoyed a 2pm lunch and sat outside next to our favorite Falla.
