We visited twice on a Tuesday and Thursday. I think there's only good ambience if you go during the week. On Thursday-Saturday, they have a DJ and when we went on Thursday, it was overwhelmingly loud. It just doesn't fit the speakeasy vibe at all. The service was great even if there was an overwhelming amount of people, you can use card here so that's great. However, prices are extremely high. Not a huge surprise cause this place feels geared towards tourists. I LOVED Querencia and my partner loved Paradise. I think this is worth dropping by only once just for impressive cocktail options and the setting.
Not to be rude, but you'd be stupid to not go here if you're a fan of mixology. Reservations can be made online. Just walk or cab here since it's on that downtown street which is busy even at 10 pm. Their inner room has a live DJ and jungle themed, always bustling with party groups and bachelorette parties. The drinks are complex and delicious.
Absolutely fell in love with this hip, speakeasy-type bar in Puerto Vallarta. It has an open-air concept with tons of fresh plants and dim lighting. The bartenders were super cool and down to chat with us. Their cocktail list incorporates an entire spectrum of flavors, and there is certainly something for everyone. They even make all their syrups in house, which makes their cocktails truly shine. We tried their signature passionfruit and seasonal watermelon cocktails and they were both delicious. Super refreshing in the summer humidity. We could definitely taste the real fruit and well-balanced flavors in each drink. Definitely stop by for a vibeee.

This a very modern, hip bar with great cocktails. They play house music and other EDM. The service is excellent. The only issue here is that the prices for the drinks are very high for the area. You could find similar cocktails for lower prices elsewhere.

Loved the vibe at this bar. I made a reservation a few hours before and it was so worth it. We got there before it was crowded so we had a ton of space. I heard they could get crowded later in the night. We were there 9:30 till 11 and it was just picking up as we left. The drinks were gorgeous and our server was pretty attentive.
If you love craft cocktails, look no further. I was disappointed with the mainstream Puerto Vallarta nightlife scene, so it was a pleasant surprise to find this low key speakeasy playing more chilled out electronic music inside of a flower store. The cocktails are incredibly thoughtful and they use high quality liquors mostly from Mexico. The bartenders don't all speak fluent English, but their mixology skills definitely make up for it. We had the Miss Yuzu and the paradise cocktail with pineapple. Both were a little on the sweet side but the flavors were fantastic. It was a weeknight so the bar wasn't too crowded and we got a great seat in the patio area and enjoyed our drinks under the stars.
What a pleasant surprise! I came from Washington, DC, where there are tons of hidden bars and speakeasies. Stumbling upon El Colibri was a highlight of my trip! Definitely will go back with friends! Great drink selection!
Who would have thought I would end up at such a cool speakeasy while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta. This spot was not a planned outing, but after a long day of sightseeing and excursions, my friend and I wanted a chill night with a good cocktail. El Colibri is located very close to where the major clubs and bars are in Puerto Vallarta but the exact opposite of the loud and packed clubs. It's small but intimate, chill and vibey music, but the cocktails were also amazing and so good. Not expensive at all (or so I thought) as we had 3 cocktails and I paid $45 USD. They also gave my friend and me a shot on the house for her birthday. I would definitely recommend and go back if I'm in PV again!
A diamond of a cocktail bar in the heart of puerto Vallarta. Extensive menu with well crafted cocktails that aren't your standard fare. Very few classics, though I'm sure you could order one. My partner had a "Riki Tiki" which she described as an alcoholic coconut milk shake and the best tiki drink she's ever had (talks about it daily) and I had the house Negroni that was also incredible. Nice spin on the original. Overall, loved this place. Juan, our server, was very helpful and provided very friendly service. If I get the opportunity I will absolutely return. Thank you!!
In a part of the city where horrible bars abound and everybody wants 140 pesos for a trash margarita, my goodness, just spend the extra 40 pesos and have a great cocktail here. I had the riki tiki (inveterate tikihead) and loved it. Creamy, sweetness just right, still packing a punch. I watched these guys make cocktails, and they know what they are doing. Now, constructive feedback: turn the music down. Also, don't ask me if I have a reservation when your bar is literally empty. And don't try to sell me a seat with a two-drink minimum when, again, your bar is empty. We sat at the bar and it was free. Hopefully some of the try-hard weirdness goes away and they just relax into chill awesomeness. The drinks are already there.
This intimate hideout was introduced to us by our friendly "Secret" Airbnb Experience ex-pat tour guide Amberleigh. You can easily walk by it without knowing that it's even there. There is a semi open courtyard once you enter. Their cocktails are stiff and plenty sweet. Do try the raicilla - another agave byproduct that tastes somewhat reminiscent of their better known counterparts tequila and mezcal. Tip your bartenders generously and you will be well taken care of! I believe you need to reserve in advance. Or you can book a tour with Amberleigh through Airbnb Experience "Secret Bar Tour Sssssshhh".
We went on a non-weekend night without a reservation and were able to grab a table at around 8pm. I would suggest a reservation on the weekends though if you want a table. Super cool spot - love the open roof. It can definitely get a little loud with the music, so just something to keep in mind depending on what you are looking for. It's definitely the best spot for great cocktails in PV though. Pricier than some other bars, but better options for mixed drinks. Friendly, patiently staff who know their stuff, and for those who worry about this - staff spoke good English. We will definitely be back next time we visit PV! read more
Fantastic find while spending the week in Puerta Vallarta. After the Dia Los Muertos festivities I was on the hunt for a good cocktail / speakeasy. El Colibri was highly rated and close by, so the group made our way. Very much tucked away, unassuming with awesome low-lighting, El Colibri was just what the dr ordered. A cozy, smaller bar, with excellent drinks and awesome service. I chatted with the bartender about their well curated drink list and the drinks were perfect. Would be awesome for a date night or just a good contrast to the party scene in the malecon. Add this to your bucket list of to-do's while in PV! read more

Excellent cocktail bar in downtown PV. I love the vibe and the atmosphere and the drinks were upscale without being too pricey. They had a fun DJ while we were there to set the tone. I had a Negroni which was also excellent. A must do for drinks. read more
Saw this bar was one of the top recommended bars in PV. Decided to stop by for one drink as we had been hoping around drinking. The entrance reminds me of a spa so i didn't realize it was a speakeasy bar. Loved the surprise! Once past the main door and into the bar it was so dimly lit (went in the evening). Loved the tropical vibes, green walls, and plants. The actual bar area is small, but the patio area is bigger. We ordered the paradise drink as the picture looked good and it contained an ingredient i had not heard of before. The drink was so good! Had we not been drinking prior to visiting Colibri i would have ordered 2 other drinks to try as much as i could. I highly recommend coming for drinks (didn't try the mocktails). FYI If you want to sit in the patio area that area requires people consume $250 pesos worth of items. read more

The street is lined with loud, messy dive bars, with the buzz of their maxed-out subwoofers vibrating the air around you as you walk by. Staff members wait outside of their businesses and usher you in, pushing deals on you with promise of cheap food and cheap drinks and cheap, cheap, cheap... but not El Colibrí Bar. Had we not intentionally come looking for this place, we surely would have missed it otherwise! Walking by, it almost looked like a quiet little spa that was open late at night. The back wall (covered by beautiful plant decorations) opens up to reveal a hidden door - the entrance to inside! Truly like a speakeasy. Upon walking in, it's warm, classy, and intimate. The plant decor and bar setup is beautiful. The vibe is completely different from outside, with a live DJ playing in front of you, but the music is not loud enough so that you can't hear your own thoughts. What a contrast from when you walked in! The mixologists here really know what they're doing, and the drinks selections are highly sophisticated and plentiful. Drinks - My boyfriend ordered the Miss Yuzu, a cocktail with coconut fat washed gin. I ordered the Geminis, a passionfruit and rosemary mezcal cocktail. Both drinks were stunning and more importantly, DELICIOUS! Finding this bar was certainly the highlight of my trip, as my boyfriend and I struggled to find a place with great drinks (meaning you can order more than just a gin and tonic/tequila on the rocks) and fantastic service. The bartenders really love what they're doing, and it's evident! We loved our trip to Puerto Vallarta, and when we come back, this is hidden gem is certainly going back on the itinerary. read more

Ok this is the best speakeasy in the Area hands down!!! Walk in and you think it's a jungle. Look up, it's open roof (can close if it rains) which it did on us ! Drinks are hands down well made. The bartenders knew what they were doing. Perfect date spot ! read more

This bar is sooo pretty. The drinks are really good and some have different alcohol types that you will learn about. The staff is very nice and super informative. Not a stereotypical tourist bar! read more
Superrrrr cute speakeasy in PV. The ambience is perfect and the bar opens up to the night sky. Even if it starts to rain, they have a retractable roof that can be rolled out and the problem is solved. The menu had various options for wine, alcohol, spirits, etc but I came here to try their mixed cocktails. I first tried the riki tiki and it came in a tall tiki cup. The mixture of rumchata and licor 43 was immaculate but the star of the evening for me was the Paradise cocktail. I originally wanted Miss Yuzu but they didn't have the ingredients to make it so the waiter asked what kind of flavors do i like and suggested this one and after quickly drinking up the first one, I ordered another. The blend of the raicilla with the cinnamon, toasted pineapple juice, lemon juice- OUTSTANDING. I could hardly taste the liquor but I definitely felt it. This is a nice place to stop by if you're in the area. read more
