These employee's give postal workers a bad name. Because this town has a high senior population they should be even more helpful and not less. Also very unprofessional with an I don't give a hoot attitude, Lot's of folks wish they had it so easy making a living.... I will go out of my way not to visit this facility. I suggest you do the same.

July 17, 2026: THEREFORE, I searched ALL the YELP! photos I posted: I found a few photos dated 1/5/2019 as PROOF I did write my reviews for both locations. Disappointingly, ALL my photos AND reviews for James Marshall's Monument and Coloma State Park's 1800's Gold Rush Community Event MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED AFTER 2019! UNHAPPY! Since and AFTER 2019 to present date--July 18, 2026, I have returned exploring James Marshall's Monument--countless times--reminiscing my US Army friend's Military funeral presided at James Marshall's Monument, used the clean restrooms countless times traversing from Placerville to Beal's AFB /Marysville CA via Highway 49, visited James Marshall's humble abode, checked both St. John's Catholic Church and Emmanuel Church construction completion updates, skulked Sutter's Mill, gold panning the American River, hiked along the American River, sent snail mail from the Coloma Post Office, ate at my friend, Noah's Argonaut Cafe, and hiked the trails, too! BTW: Coloma CA is ONLY seven miles from my humble abode, i.e., this is THE CLOSEST State Park from my house. Finally, I just wish, Coloma State Park had a cool, State Park Campground because I would use my 100% Service-Connected Veteran's Distinguished Park Pass more often which equates as FREE CAMPING and NO FEE State Park Entrance! Besides, exploring Coloma State Park, I guess driving to Folsom Lake's Rattlesnake Bar Campground via Cool CA would be the closest State Park Campground from my humble abode which I have camped a few times in the past. Aside, the town of Coloma CA, Coloma State Park, James Marshall's Monument, dipping my toes in the American River, and all the buildings truly emulate the Wild, Wild 1848's Gold Rush Hey Day which is quite the juxtaposition from modern-day City Of Placerville CA located just eight miles down the road from Coloma CA due South via Highway 49.

Please check it out just a real cool place to go and if they're still doing it, they do monthly historic events there, reenactments at least they used to. Check it out I haven't been here for a couple of years. Number of years ago I did a press conference there for the 170 anniversary event for the gold rush and the California birthday celebration. Unfortunately it rained like cats and dogs. And even though we still did the press conference underneath umbrellas we uninvited the press they wouldn't have to deal with the storm. Although there were a couple that did insist on coming saying the best they could. Wonderful place to visit even if it's just one in your life but being a Californian and all I go back whenever I can.

Well my (now) wife and I came up here to get our marriage license a few weeks ago, and then we…read morereturned yesterday to pick up the official proof of marriage certificate. Well initially we were both pretty nervous, having previously dealt with the getting records copied and licenses issued through our home County of Sacramento. It was a challenging experience in Sac County at times, however that is not the case here at all! The moment we walked in we were greeted with a happy smiles from a couple of different people who were working the public counter. We had our forms filled out that we had printed offline and, and just had to do a couple of other things. The ladies reviewed our paperwork, we swore a quick oath and we were on our way with our license! It was that easy! When we returned yesterday to pick up our certificate, it was equally as easy, and we were in and out in about 10 minutes including parking. I cannot say enough good things about the fine people here. Thank you for making our special day a little less stressful.

The City of Folsom is a beautiful city with almost everything--camping, hiking, fishing, shopping…read moremalls, outlets mall, old town area.. etc. I enjoyed how the city is building on the foothills and next to the water - Folsom Lake. The town is three dimensions. Some area is up on the hills; others is on the waterfront. Some area has lots of three, and some area is full of shopping centers. I can always find something I want in the City of Folsom. Many of my favorite restaurants are also in Folsom. I can have my lovely curries here; Thai and Indian curries are great! They have a few Middle-Eastern restaurants I enjoyed in the area too! Of course, they have good Chinese, Japanese, and American restaurants too. The only thing Folsom doesn't have before is they don't have a bakery I like. But the problem was fixed followed by T&5 Cafe & Bakery opening a new location in Folsom. The City of Folsom has everything I want now! Lol!

The Wild Wild West, Oh Yeah!…read more SITREP Okay. Maybe NOT QUITE, but dam close enough! There's tumbleweeds along HWY 50. Horses corralled up on ranchettes between Folsom and El Dorado Hills. There's even a FOLSOM RODEO where I can watch kids ride precocious sheep: "MUTTON WRANGLING!" THE SETUP I value my local friends who show me all the neat markets and antique faires that highlight some of my favorite shopping past times. FOOD HOT SPOTS! But anything pertaining to FOOD has my primary attention! * From Pizza, to Chocolate to Ice Cream shops, if you tastes run along the sweet and quick & easy, you'll find your "poison" along Historic Sutter Street; * But if you're looking for classy Steak Houses or awesome Seafood Restaurants, same place - it's here! * Of specific interest to me is Hop Sing Palace also on Historic Sutter Street: it is my all time favorite Chinese Restaurant in the entire Sacramento Valley! PRODUCE I've learned to go to the Farmer's Market in the Historic Sutter District (at the foot of Historic Sutter Street), and here you can find just about anything! Early in the Spring you're basic fruits and veggies. Later in the Fall, more seasonal faire. My buddy, Master Yelper Eric S., even showed me where to pick out the pumpkins! THE LOWDOWN So much to write about, but suffice it to say that Folsom is a growing community with a lot of stuff for you! It's always helpful
