Visited December 16, 2023. Absolutely loved Lanzarote. Of the 3 islands visited, this one felt like…read moreit was more of a foreign country. Cesar Manrique designed this attraction using the surrounding elements as he did with so many things on the island. At first you may not see anything in this pool of water inside the volcanic tunnel, but just look very closely and you will see a TON of mini, albino crabs. Very peaceful to just sit and watch. Be sure to keep walking and you will find a hidden oasis! There are a few nice cave bars inside where you can grab a drink. There's also an interactive museum and an impressive cave theatre with mirrors on one side. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore! This place was a lot larger than 1st expected.

I'm not one to trash a local landmark, but for me this place is a huge waste of time and euro. You…read moredrop just under 10euro to enter and the first thing you see are tables and a bar. Then you get to the cave, which is filled with crystal clear water and tiny blind white crabs. Again, for me, this wasn't 'wow' worthy and the small pieces of trash and coins in the water distracted from any sense of beauty. Nothing says amazing lagoon like a Trident wrapper floating along the surface of the water. Moving on, the next 'sight' was the blue pool and oh, was it just that, a pool. People were taking pics of a pool where the water was just as clear as the local ocean or your own backyard swimming hole. Weird. The volcano museum was up next and was equally as lame as the pool. This place hasn't been updated since the 70's. I felt like I was in the Flinstone house with some outdated volcano pictures on the wall. Overall, as a 'cave bar' and concert hall it's a probably a 4-5 star establishment. Take a look at the concert venue pic, very cool and unique. Having a few drinks in a cave, also cool. But as a landmark (that someone drove 45-min to get to), it's not great.

A decent little Plaza right outside of the crusie ship port. There are typically some stall vendors…read morethat set up for more tourist type sales but most of the items are either novelty or just random items for sell that are generic resell items or thrift clothing. There were a few city tour busses that pick up cruise ship passengers from the location but that was a huge area that quickly became crowded and an area to avoid. The oalza is very open and a good area to catch some sun and snap some group pictures.
