This place is a meat-lovers' paradise on the way to or from the airport, easily accessible from the freeway, and a good 1-hour lunch option (I bet it gets packed for dinner though!). The menu is very Spartan, and has 3 main sections: a terse selection of meats--either "cabrito" (goat) or "carnes" (moo!), a limited number of "botanas" (side dishes), and an even humbler drink list. I think the latter is deceiving, because, having a full bar, I'm sure they can whip out more than they offer. Right off the bat, they'll bring you a plate of refried beans with a small sample of meat, just to trigger your Pavlov conditioning. Had the meal finished right there, I would've already made this a 5-star review. It was THAT good! Then there is the meat. Because I'm not a goat person (which is truly sad in Monterrey, given this town's culinary reputation is single-handedly sustained by it's "cabrito"), I ordered the Arrachera Encebollada--basically, skirt steak with white onions (onions only for extra juice and flavor, I don't eat them). The plate includes a baked potato, the ever-present tortillas, and something akin to chicken soup. Also, the meal includes the salad bar--but let's be frank: between the meat, beans, potatoes and tortillas, I had WAY more than I could chew. Ahhhh... but fear not! That didn't stop this warrior from taking a peek at the dessert tray, which was filled with goodies! I think I could come to this place simply to have dessert--I had a hard time picking! Eventually, I went narrowed on a "tortuga" (turtle pie), although, given its Hulk-size, this should've been called the Galapagos Tortoise Pie. I honored this sweet giant by eating it in full--followed by an extra hour at the gym :P Go on a day you want meat!

Pricey but good food. The Cabritos are so tender and delicious. Also liked "El Machito".
