I would suggest making a reservation well ahead of time. They squeezed our group of five in when we entered at their 7:30 pm opening time. They just asked we be done by 9:30 pm for the next party. Mix of regional dishes but primarily Middle Eastern. We also had chicken shish tauk which is a kebab. The rice pilaf contains almonds so be aware for those of you with nut allergies. I had the lamb kebabs which came with roasted potatoes. All the food was very good. We sat on the lower level and inside which was cozy. The location is amazing and it's garden is beautiful. Everything we ordered was delicious. The server was very attentive and gave great recommendations. We had a great experience and if we are in the area will definitely be back. Make sure to make reservations in advance. Also to give your self time to see the beautiful town. One last recommendation is after dinner, visit the "teteria" where you can enjoy drinks and desert on the rooftop terrace. read more

So glad we found this restaurant. The town it's situated in is beautiful, on top of the mountain, and definitely prepare for extra time to explore it when you go to the restaurant. About an hour away from our residence in Costa Ballena, this made for a great day trip. Reservations are highly recommended. We opted for lunch right when they opened. We were seated in the Aljibe section and felt like we had our own private dining room. Lots of choices to choose from! We opted for lamb kebabs, shish taouk (basically chicken kebabs) and the pastela. Everything tasted so good. Lots of flavor in each bite. It might seem that the portions are small, but it fills you up! If you have room for dessert and it is a nice day, go to the cafe next door and sit rooftop. Nice views of the pueblo blanco. Afterward..walk around a bit and explore this cute little white village. We parked in the garage that is about a block away from Plaza de Espana (where the restaurant is located). It is called Parking La Corredera. We drive a subaru outback and it fit just fine. so if you are concerned about your car, that can give you an idea. If you are unable to dine at this place due to no availability, the to go option right next to it has great food as well! read more

The best part about this restaurant is the amazing atmosphere. As soon as you open your menu, you can read about the history of the place. You walk down tiny staircases through cave like dwellings to find yourself immersed in a whole new world of Moroccan themed decor. The ambiance is perfect and the feeling surreal. The service was great too. Our waitress was very attentive and even refilled our naan bread basket for us. The food is very good! It's just not phenomenal, hence the 4-star review. I expected slightly better with the spices and flavoring. But don't get me wrong, it was still tasty. I will definitely come back. Vejer is about an hour drive from where we live in Sanlucar. Set up on a mountain, it's one of the white villages of southern Spain. Remember this fact for the end of my review. The Califa. What a lovely restaurant! We had a reservation for a mid-day lunch. By the time we left it was packed. Loved the ambience here; menu choices abound and we appreciated our waiter as he patiently stopped us from ordering too much food for the table. Our lunch was divine. Service was our only issue. Our waiter was caring for the entire Pergola (which was full) and as a result was fairly inattentive. Not his fault -- if he was wearing a FitBit I'd be curious to see his mileage lol -- but stopping this from being a five star review. Back to the white village. After your meal you're gong to want to get out and walk it off -- and Vejer is the perfect place to do just that. Follow your feet and wander through the streets .. such a quaint little place with so much to see. read more

Very nice restaurant. It's beneath a hotel, down what looks like a dudgeon of some sort. Once you arrive, there are severs waiting on you to sit you down. The ambiance was very pleasant; very date night like, with lite candles, and if you're lucky stone walls surrounding you. The food here is almost all Moroccan here, so don't expect tortillas, or small tapas here! The BBQ platters were good, baked lamb leg, and other things like hummus and Peta bread were all very good. if you end of in Spain on your honeymoon or on a date, this is a place to impress that other person. read more

Wow wow wow! They have it all! Ambiance to die for, even the aroma as you near the restaurant is intoxicating. Extensive menu allows for deep exploration of the cuisine that has lived in the area for centuries. The wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The wine menu has plenty to offer, but I suggest that you take the opportunity to get something local to Cádiz / Vejer. Also, ensure that you get a taste of the Viña de Naranja from the local Bodega Gallardo - fabulous sherry style wine with the flavor of oranges. Delightful place!
