The tripa was well-seasoned, and the tacos were satisfying overall. The staff on the truck were friendly and patient while I decided what to order, and I never felt rushed. I paid around $11 or $12 for two tacos, which is a bit more expensive than the food truck I usually visit. That said, I assume the higher price is due to the Lakeview location. That steak had no type of seasoning-no salt, no pepper, no nothing had been sprinkled on it. To sum it up...it was overcooked and under seasoned. He kept trying to doctor the dish up by adding salt and pepper but after a while stopped because that should've been done in the cooking of the dish. He only ate a 1/3 of his dish. Upon paying the check, he attempted to share his disappointment with the waitress, who now all of a sudden, doesn't understand English. Keep in mind, we had been communicating with her just fine throughout our time there. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the restaurant location anytime soon. The people who take your order are always very nice and quick. I waited about 6 minutes for my food to come out, and they call you over when it's ready. The food was all hot and so fresh. The brisket in the tacos was very flavorful and cooked well, and the esquites were tangy and juicy. They give you great portion sizes for the price and quality in my opinion. It is located in the Edwards Lake Road Lowe's parking lot near the back of the Staples. Looking back over my check in photos, I have consistently ordered the Campechano Tacos which is a typical go to for me with any taco truck. On my most recent stop I ordered the Campechano Quesadilla instead. While I did enjoy it, I think next time I get a quesadilla, I will try the Pollo or Asada instead. I was also very tempted by the tamales and plan to try them on a future visit. I timed my visit just right and was able to order with no wait because almost immediately several people showed up behind me. It did not take long for the pager they gave me to go off for me to receive my order.
