Popular Armenien restaurant that usually requires reservations on the weekends. The mezze starter is a selection of cold dishes including smooth hummus and babbaganoush, tabbouleh that lacks in acidity and flavor, baked aubergine and a raw beef that has no finesse at all. Still pretty decent to share between two. We also had the falafel and they are nicely fried and taste good but are miles away from really good falafel.
For mains we had Persian rice, rice cooked with coconut and almonds served with shredded chicken. A pretty boring dish, a lot of coconut rice and extremely bland chicken. The other starter was squash and aubergine filled with some meet mixture. It's not terrible but lacks in flavor as well.
We had really nice drinks before dinner but no beer because they did not have any. The signature main and one other main dish was also off the menu this day.
It's not bad but it's definitely not good and for the pretty hefty price I don't think i will be going back. read more
