Saw this on yelp and google maps and ratings were good so we decided to try. Service was good. We got the steak sharing platter to share between 3 people. It was a good amount of meat. The flank was not bad and done to medium rare but it wasn't a good cut of meat. The sirloin was overcooked even though we told the server that was our concern but it had no beef flavour and was pretty tough to chew. The scotch was better but was still overcooked. The filet was the best. Not somewhere I would go again. read more

Our last supper in Wellington before heading back to the U.S. was delicious! We started off with some great Riesling then ordered two tapas and a sirloin entree to share. My favorite tapa dish was the prawns which the server also recommended. The sirloin was mouth watering and came with round and flat crispy potatoes that tasted awesome! The dish also came with a tasty salad on the side. We were pleasantly surprised when one of the waiters informed us that the sirloin entree comes with a complimentary dessert. He recommended the churros with chocolate dipping sauce which did not disappoint! I could have easily devoured the whole dessert. The wood fire aroma and dark lighting make this place cozy and romantic. read more
We had the best evening here. The atmosphere is so warm and vibrant, while the decor makes you feel like you are dining on a historic street in Argentina. The service was prompt and professional with waiters ready to help you craft your menu for the evening. But what really makes this place great was the food. Oh my word the food. I was actually pretty hesitant walking in, after all they are known for their steaks and I'm a vegetarian. But delightfully there was a healthy range of vegetarian tapas available. We had the gnocchi (do yourself a favour and get the gnocchi) the grilled beetroot (so fresh and flavourful) the Provolone (ooey gooey smokey decadence) the warmed olives (of course), and the empanadas (vege for me, meat for he). It was arguably too much food, but we fought our way to the end as every morsel was too good not to. The only dish we weren't 100% thrilled with was the vege empanada, which was a little dense and gluggy for me. However my partner loved the meat version! Their wine list is also pretty bomber, with some delightful Spanish, Argentinan, and Chilean drops available. Add a glass of wine and a chocolate fondant for dessert and our bill clocked in at just over $100. A fantastic price considering the quality and amount of food we ordered. We'll definitely be back. read more

This is a good tapas restaurant. My companions and I hadn't booked and dropped in on the off chance of getting a table. It was 7.30pm on a Saturday night. The place was busy but they welcomed us. We sat at the bar only long enough for our drinks to be served, then our table was ready. It was great. We enjoyed bread and olives, with the server's recommendations... Pumpkin Gnocchi, Prawns and Beef Cheek - with a Mesclun Salad too. It was all fabulous. The red wines were Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from Argentina, with a Marlborough Pinot Noir, to suit all our tastes. To top it off we enjoyed a decadent chocolate fondant, generously served with ice cream. All fabulous, with great, friendly service - we will definitely be back. Thank you. read more
We had dinner here last week and it was absolutely fabulous! The atmosphere is very special - probably my favorite restaurant so far (design wise) in Wellington. It's a great spot for a date or a smaller group dinner but expect a bit of wait on a weekend as it is very popular. They have a fantastic wine selection and a variety of delicious tapas and full meals. The bone marrow was our favorite but we've heard that there paella is also a must try. We can't wait to come back for a meal soon! read more
My sister took us here our first day in Wellington and it was fantastic. It was a feast of epic proportions, probably the most meat I've ever consumed in 1 sitting, and a true bacchanalia where the wine flowed freely. We sat on the patio on a lovely February evening at a large table for our party. It was truly a lovely dining experience, although I did eat SO many olives they were all I could taste the next day. read more

Terrific atmosphere. Perfectly cooked meat (if you're a vegetarian you're a bit out of luck here try the pet shop for some rabbit food) and a great selection of drinks. The staff are great fun and in the evening it was a great place to take my lovely lady and treat her to a night we both treasured. The decor is very cool and our evening was pretty much faultless. read more

Great if you like Steak. Steak is basically the only main menu option otherwise you can have tapa's. The Steak is fantastic the Tapa's are good but possibly not the price. Great atmosphere. read more
