On the same plate we had chicharrones en salsa, a breakfast staple in this city. To balance the heavier dishes we had a Jugo Verde drink made from fresh pineapple and parsley. The staff were so friendly, we felt at home with the kind approach and nice ambiance. The decor is traditional and tasteful, we had such a fun experience. Cafe de olla and Jamaica to drink although I should've gone with a freshly squeezed juice instead. Big tables so you sit cafeteria style. Street parking. There is always a guy outside in the street "watching over" your car who will follow you for a tip. Up to you if you want to give him some pesos. Wish they had more of these spots in LA.
